- Hey everybody, it was another bad weather high elevation day :/ ✨
More info!
If you want to connect Instagram is a great place! Find me @stella.hikes I try my best to respond to DMs :)
Leffes instagram is @c_mate (Cam Laird) ☺️
And if you want to support me on the AT and the creation of these videos you can
Venmo @Stella-Blashock
and I’ll send you a post card from the trail!
Massive thank you to those already supporting me on the AT regardless of how- financially, following along, sharing, and commenting! 💗
10% of YT earnings this year will go back to trail orgs like the ATC, PCTC, and the CDTC 🌲🏔️✨ Thank you for your support and encouragement! Let’s get outside and into the mountains together 💞
Tree falling - happened to me in the Adirondacks. Giant tree in front of us cracked like thunder and came crashing down - didn't hit the trail but scared the bleep out of us for a minute or two. Mountain weather? Nuthin' you can do about it, except endure it and push through. Looking forward to the Hundred Mile Wilderness video, as well as Katahdin. Be well, stay safe.
Wild climbing today! Glad you weren’t blown off the mountain!!
Your camera man did a great job !
Nice to have “Leftvee” or LLefty” film you in that driving rain … (whatever is name is) … really shows how difficult it was up there.
I think it's Leffe like the beer.
@@patrickcunniff5936 ohhhhhhhhhh
Wow. That looked sketchy! Nice job traversing the terrain in that weather! Watching you helps me know that there will be scary times, but I can do it, too. I just hope I’m able to balance the risk vs reward ratio well.
Wow, that freezing rain and wind looked bad. Glad you made it down safely. Safe travels.
Thank heavens you slack packed this one! Enjoy!!
Can't believe the weather up on those mountains! Sucks for you two for having to hike in it. Sucks for all of us that there were no views to be seen due to the clouds. Thankful for you two for braving the elements and bringing us along to watch in your videos!! Stay safe out there.
Omg...that looks brutal today...your poor knees!...Glad you guys are sticking together!
The misery of nature’s tooth and claw and the joy of a commendable achievement made it worth the strenuous effort. Bravo to your strong will👏🏻 Be well!
Nice job leffe
Dang, that was a tough day!!
Have a safe hiking day
Wowsa! What a day!
Narrow trail-so much wind-gave us the creeps!!
Crazy kids!
Glad you are safe!
Congratulations on getting to 2000 miles twice! Deja vu all over again. Good work on completing the Bigelow range.
Wow, Lucky lived up to his trail name by just missing the fallen tree. As you climbed to higher elevation I was getting cold just by watching the footage.
Moxie is an Abenaki word “Dark water” it’s where the region and the soda gets their name.
Wow that week was a mess wasn't it👍🌲
🦋
0:51 Stella said the “S” word
I laughed "Gooood morning! Sh**!" breaks out laughing. worth the price of admission.
Nothing can replace ahh shi888
Remember to look for the white blazes, they are there to show you the way.
Nice video!
You have a canoe ride in your future. Text Coyote to see if he took a picture of it before he got on it. Keep up the good work.
Looks and sounds like grapple
Stella & Lefty both of you are doing incredibly well considering the weather conditions and a tree falling right after you walked past it, then comment like it is no big deal made me gasp. They are called widow makers for good reason. Both of you are proving yourselves to be seasoned hikers knowing when to layer up. I've seen more people try to do the same thing wearing shorts and a T shirt than I care to remember. Great Job!
That was amazing video Leffe took of you walking on that 4,000 footer ridge in the wind and freezing rain. Respect to the stamina, persistence and focus it must have required to get through that ridge section. Good you have a warm place to stay for a few nights during this challenging section.
I am so happy you have a consistent walking buddy.
We are the beneficiaries of your dedication to editing ❤
Thank you!
The weather conditions play such a big part on the trail.. so glad she is hiking with someone 👣🌻
Thank you for all the extra work you do with filming & editing, so we can all experience the trail with you!
You have found a great trail partner in Leffe. ❤
Stay safe!
So glad that you had Lefty with you to hike with and not being out their by yourself. So sad that the weather was so terrible that you couldn't show the beautiful views from those mountains. And now that you're in a warm and drive cabin or hostel. Stay safe and stay warm, on your hike tomorrow 🙂🙂🙂🙂
You both are amazing! Love watching your journey, so happy you have each during those challenging days. Great energy between you both😁 thanks for sharing with us!
“Good morning…ahh shit!” My new morning mantra
I laughed, that was great.
If a tree falls in the woods …… lol
Love all ur shares i am getting ready to try hiking the long trail now after watching your shares you got me back out hiking can't thank you enough for ur shares
Dang! That plqce looks really nice& cozy. Hope you feel ready to kick butt! 😊
Tough day to be in the Bigelow's. To bad you missed views, but you did Awesome. I've been on some of those peaks!
Third night in a row at the same hostel. Did anyone catch the name of it. I went back to day 111 and did not hear Stella mention its name.

I believe she said it’s the Hostel of Maine
@@Sourpatchgarden Concur "Hostel of Maine" Looked it up, nice digs.
Yes it was the Hostel of Maine or H.O.ME 😅
That was a brutal day in the cold rain. The “just get it done” kinda day
How close Leffey was to the tree that fell lucky man!Good thing that you still had your pants, the weather looked very nasty on top in June still freezing!
Leffey does a good job filming.Stick together until the end you never know what is next.
Yep, love letting the camera just roll for a few minutes. see the hiking, rocks and wind.
You are Trail strong
Indeed
Freezing rain and wind on top of a mountain sounds like a really rough situation! 🤐 Yikes
They solved it you do hear a tree fall when it falls in the woods.
At 7:30, tell there is an easier way around those rocks you are climbing. Like is seems the designer of the AT thought, lets make that rock hill part of the 2100 miles.
Ohh that ridgeline..seems late for this weather, even at high elevations!!
Hang in there !! Following you every day! Used to live near Rutland!, It was cool to see you there! One step at a time!
Looked like a very challenging day on trail, but I will say those are some of my favorite days on trail knowing that I have everything I need to survive and stay comfortable in my pack.
nicely done, Leffie does well on camera with you on point 🌻
That climb looked brutal. Great camera man❤
Looks cold the holstel looks really nice.have a great day 😊
If a tree falls in the woods when you aren't there, does it make a sound? Yes. The ants, groundhogs and mice hear it.
Some serious wind!
Seems those stretches were a very important part of getting you to Katahdin 💙
That was some incredible wind in freezing rain! So glad that it was a slack pack!! You guys are really awesome🥰🥰🥰🥰
Bet you were glad for a nice warm space to be after a day like that! Nice work!
You looked like me going down that rock, just about 12,000% more graceful LOL
Leffe’s been a good friend. I think you needed the moral support of another hiker and Leffe has been willing to hike with you at your pace. I think you would have struggled even more without him.
Yikes! I am so glad that you guys were not at this spot when the tree fell. And, the weather was terrible to hike up on the mountains. I was anxious to watch you guys climbing on those rocks when it was raining. You guys made it. Whew!
I'm glad you guys didn't get hit by the tree. Cold or bugs, what do you like the least? Keep trekking. 😊
Bigelows are 😅no joke, hard enough climbs without the weather. Glad to see you both up & over ok!
Keep hiking....
That was a crazy mountain! Good job guys.
Great trail shots. 😊
I am sorry that your Bigelow day was overcast. The views up there are gorgeous. Also, did you see any Canada Jays? They will land in your hand if you put food in it. They probably stalked you waiting for a landing pad. They are very active in the cols up there.
For me, the Bigelows was my hardest day on trail. Took so long, to get to the top, then having to keep going to find a place to tent. You made it look easy. To be young again. 😁
Well!! 😮 That's the closest call with a falling tree I've seen. Glad you and Leffe made it past. The views up there (Bigelows) are usually awesome. The inclement weather kept the bugs away at least. 😊 So happy you slack packed. Great work today Nyx! Rest well ✌️
Quite a windy, wet, cold hike over the mountain tops, but you did it! Katahdin looms large! Take care!
Wow that was exciting! Congratulations
My worst nightmare is getting injured or worse by a falling tree.
How are your knees doing after that trek ?
Be safe and be well 🤗👋✌️
Excellent video what a day
Watch out for that rock!😂
