This is a really useful series of videos. Being able to watch numerous times with stop and start as I need to has been very helpful for practice! Love those details. They really make the work more progressive. Thanks.
It’s always a good day when David and Jelena release a new video!🎉 🎉🎉 Also, I like the blue x2 and the way David matches the Liforme mat.(p.s. I still get mad at myself when I lose my balance…especially in UHP. 😅)
Super video! I just wonder: In the modified flamingo version, should you also bend the standing leg further to stretch the hip of that bent leg, or avoid this to protect… anything :P (I need to open my hips more in the external rotation, but also protect the knee :) ) Thanks! Hope to practice in live with you some dag, I live in Norway...
I started my Ashtanga training 2 weeks ago again after extrem hip pain for 3 years. Well nothing helped and now I want to sincerely target my hip tightness and I am pretty fast exhausted when doing all the standing poses, also emotionally I cry during praxis and have to go into childs pose. I guess a lot has been stored in the hips. This position is very helpful and actually releasing.
I noticed you are almost always on a liforme mat. Is that your recommendation for ashtanga? I've been pretty happy with lulu mats (hated B mat), and am assuming liforme is similar to lulu but a little more deluxe, as per the price point.
I liked how David used Goku as a distraction when he got caught resting haha.
Great vid as always
You guys are amazing. I feel I’m growing as a new teacher and learning so much from your tutorials. So thank you and keep up the fantastic work. 🙏🏻

I've always felt dizzy after this asana, now I'll know what's causing it
I learned soooo much! ty--I'M ALWAYS DIZZY COMING UP FROM THIS!!! interested in trying your tips-but alas I already practiced --and got dizzy- TODAY!!
I'm dizzy too, and I have a feeling I'm gonna to lose consciousness, after two or three inhale and exhale, I'm ok
Would one be able to use a strap (whether it be a normal strap, a mat strap or an Infinity Strap) to make the bind possible?

You can bend the standing leg as much as you need to. Just be careful- if you bend too much it’s going to be pretty intense in the Flamingo hip
In the seated version of this I just can't get my knee down - what would you recommend to get the knee to come down to the floor?

I suggest learn the seated version of this pose first before trying to do it standing and with the challenge of balance.
@@adrianq1240 yes, thanks I did not made the link between the sitting version but yes of course there is a seated version of it🙏

Great info. Thanks!
