No rematch needed to be honest . It’s a reason shields have 7 champion belts versus Savannah 1 , and they both have the same record . Shields fought the best boxers, while Marshall fought decent boxers with losing records . I won’t say Marshall is overrated , I will just say she finally met her match and got exposed .

That is just pure class. You can tell she has been trained and tutored properly. The first thing they used to teach you in boxing when i was a kid was, always respect not only your opponent but the fight game itself. Savannah was not only gracious in defeat, but showed nothing but respect for her opponent, the fans and more importantly boxing itself. She is just a class person, and quite a few in the game could take a leaf out of her book.

Two great warriors, and after all the trashtalk that preceded the fight it warms the heart that they both have a higher level of respect for each other than before their fight. A pity that the same can't be said about Mayer and Baumgardner.
interesting night as it showed the best of women's boxing but also the problem with women's boxing. title fights need to be 3 minute rounds. both fights would have played out different imo.

Also you know that because Claressa shield is involved people turned out and after this Savannah Marshal will experience good amount of money in her account, you money can make you happy. Claressa shield has been experiencing huge amount of money in her account for years now while Savannah who went to her shield and cover up or maybe her team are doing enough to campaign for some fight for her, so now that Claressa came all the way to look out for her and that happens to be a blessing to her at the money in the account😂 😂 😂. Savannah can now update her occupation and not go back to her coverage. One good thing about this is that even if you loose the fight money will still pump in.😂 😂 😂 and I guest Savannah is happy for that

A Magnificent Battle it was as Peter Fury said..A Dog Fight, both of these Woman fought their hearts out and are a credit to Boxing, for once a fight lived up to all the hype, I felt it was a good decision, Shields had too much of everything for Savannah but Marshall gave a tremendous effort and her stock will only rise from now on.

This was undeniably a phenomenal fight between two supernatural female champions. The last half of the fight was fairly close, but Clarissa was the better woman in the end

Not usually a huge fan of women’s boxing but it was a great show, fireworks for the full 10 rounds. Shields was clearly too fast for Marshall and had a bigger variety of punches, she simply outgunned her for most of the fight. There are no excuses and I doubt it would’ve affected the result, but Marshall did look tense and nervous before the start, and spent most of the fight standing way too close to Shields instead of allowing herself enough space to throw her big shots. She also didn’t use much lateral movement but stayed right in front of her most of the time. But even if she had, I still doubt she could have coped with Shields’s speed, variety and accuracy of punches. They both showed great heart, that’s for sure.
