Uh...their scoring methodology is sus at best. I don't think they actually even watch any content on the tvs. Take for example the Sony x95k...When they first reviewed the tv they gave it a mediocre contrast score and the way they discussed the contrast was that it wasn't as good as you'd hope for with a high end LCD. Then they changed their scoring methodology a few months later and gave the x95k a terrific score and now all the sudden the contrast is excellent. I get that we need to change how we score things from time to time, but if you actually watched some content on the tv rather than just using test patterns there's no way you could have 2 completely contradictory evaluations of the contrast of a tv. I've also seen them describe tv diffeent tvs that they sscored the same exact way completely different than one another. LG OLED gets a "Great" grey uniformity description where the Sony gets "Just ok" with the same exact score. Their analysis is detailed, but it's not consistent.
You might consider learning a bit more about “reviews” and what they do to reach their conclusions. For example, the Hisense is absolutely a great value right out of the box…but after a few years that’s not the case. Cost of ownership over 5 years has increasingly seen Hisense owners have to fork out more money sooner to replace their short lived panels. This is not something rtings is currently talking about within its reviews. Maybe their longevity test will have an impact on this? But I doubt it.
@@jogo8261 I agree with this assessment.. Their reviews are a lot more detailed than most but their scoring system is at times inconsistent for some reason.. Ex... You'll have 2 Tv's one has a slightly higher result than another but for some reason the other TV is scored higher.
As others have said here, their ratings can be extremely suspect. They often appear to be a branch of the marketing department for OLED displays. For example. I'm looking to replace my current main PC screen which is a Sony TV with a new TV. Samsung S90D QD-OLED is one of the highest rated TV's for use as a PC monitor at 9.5. From their summary: "The Samsung S90D/S90DD is outstanding for use as a PC monitor." Then further down: "Unfortunately, the TV doesn't use a standard RGB subpixel layout, so text isn't very clear, and there is color fringing at the edges of bright windows or images due to the subpixel structure of QD-OLED panels." If a display has unclear text, then it is a terrible display to use for a PC monitor as clear text is one of the most important features. Then there is the elephant in the room. From their own burn in tests: "After two months, the two QD-OLED displays on this test (Samsung S95B OLED and the Sony A95K) are both showing signs of possible permanent image retention (burn-in), but the LG WOLED TVs like the LG C2 OLED and the LG G2 OLED are clean." "After running this test, the amount of image retention didn't decrease at all; in fact, it looked even worse than our 2-month update photos, as the TVs had been running the regular CNN schedule for about a month between our 2-month update and when we started this extra test. Now that we've confirmed that these TVs are experiencing permanent burn-in, why is there such a difference between QD-OLED and WOLED displays?" "What about PC users; should they avoid using QD-OLED displays? These results don't look good for computer users. A computer's user interface often has large white areas, even if you're using your computer's Dark Mode feature, and those areas are likely to cause burn-in." No where in the review summary of the S90D is the high risk of permanent burn in mentioned for this panel. How does a TV that has unclear text and by their own admission, "doesn't look good for computers users" due to their burn in test results score as one of the best displays to use as a monitor? Any QD-OLED display should have a terrible rating for PC monitor usage.
Bought a u8n this weekend. We got snowed in also so I have had plenty of time to try out everything from movies to football games on this TV. From streaming services to antenna. This tv has performed flawlessly. Huge upgrade over my 14yr old samsung. Love it so far.
The 75" u8n has a ADS IPS display while the 55", 65", and 85" have a VA display. The viewing angles on the 75" should be much better with that type of panel. It would be great if you could take a look at the 75" model.
Can’t wait to see the 75” review. Better panel, brighter, and more local dimming zones than any other size. And the price seems like an incredible value
thats the most incredible coating I ever seen pure glossy and absorbs reflections and darkens it like a black hole OMG And its pure GLOSSY if only we could have this kind of coating on PC Monitors
Yeah the ADS-PRO screen is --EVEN MORE GLOSSY. They look MORE Clean Glossy than the QD-OLED/ WOLED. I have seen them in person. They are next level classy visual.
Great review. Definitely confirms my biggest worries however! The 2 standout QC issues, bugs, and color inaccuracies are enough to keep me AWAY from Hisense yet again this year :( I had high hopes their new 85/100u8n would be better but after this and other reviews, I’m convinced I’ll look to the new TCL and Sonys for our next big tv 🎉 thank you for your hard work! Ps. I had really hoped the online tv reviewers woulda called Hisense out on their QC issues this year, maybe y’all did and they just didn’t listen :/ oh well 🎉
Hisense had --BUG issue evey year upon lunch . U8G had insane Tcon board mess up Pesterizarion , U8H has sever red ghosting , U8K had something else I forgot . They usually fix with software update within weeks at Incredibly speed . 😊 Yeah Quatum TV even uploaded new video saying new update made the 2021 U8G better ! 😊 same here my 2021 U8G still gotten worked on thru the 2.5 yrs each update it made image look better . My 2 Hisense U8 doesn’t have the Buggy issues . I have had both of them long enough to know they r quick n snappy . Usually they release a mid summer update then Sep/Oct after that when ppl buy them around Black Friday rarely run into anything .
Curios to see how this TV compares to TCL's new QD mini-led model (QM851G), especially considering the latter's 65 inch model is $350 more expensive in my region. It might be worth it if the software is more stable and has better eotf tracking.
Thank you so much love your reviews. It was nice to see a critical review of a Hisense television unlike the fawning reviews I’ve seen recently, which have not seemed balanced.
@@sector7676EVERY TV has DSE. I had $5000 Made in Japan 60” Tv had SIGNIFICANT DSE. It is a PREMIUM TV issue for over 14 years. A lot of ppl used to buy Direct LED suddently Upgrade to premium LED they though its a Brand thing its -ALL premium LED thing. DSE is caused by upon turning on, the back n local dimming off ,the back panel is not brightened , only front panel light up so u see the DSE. Once back panels Boost full brightness, 🔆 all the funny visuals Gone u see no issue. 95-98% panels if have ANY DSE will not effect real life viewing at all. I bought the 100” U8K for $2999 and paired it with the Sonos Arc, Sub & pair of Era 300s for $2000. In my bright living room that gets a lot of south florida sun light, it’s been an amazing home theater setup for $5000. Paired it with my PS5,Xbox Series X, Apple TV, Nintendo Switch & IPTV Box. Zero regrets and I’ll pick a Hisense at the 100” size over any OLED that’s smaller. My LG C1 77” is literally collecting dust now and looks like a dim ipad on the wall compared to my 100” U8K.
I agree . I walk pass centrual train union station in Toronto . N saw 😮the 110-120” business LED display like Wall/tV type of thing . The immediate real Life proportional visual n especially 😮Landscape look so particular 😮. I was thinking like wow , ppl got 77” oled have NO idea what they miss out on. So did you write that just to brag about name brand items you own and talk about yourself or are you going to comment on how the tv actually functions???
@@samirshah5411 You missed the point. Nowhere did you mention that in your original comment. You just rattled off expensive items you own to brag about yourself. You gave zero user feedback about the 1 item everyone is here to learn about. Your comment was just "me, me, me"
I really enjoy Abby videos. She is very professional with the way she presents the product . And she’s quite the speaker very articulate n Eloquent:) ❤
I really wanted another OLED LG tv but Best Buy had the U8N on sale for $999. We had just bought new kitchen appliances, so I had around $700 in BB rewards which included a gift card. When I put the TV in the cart to pay for it there were all these other coupons. I somehow only needed $26 out of my pocket. When I told my wife, she was confused too, but happy I didn’t cost us more money. I usually fight for the most expensive on my list but this was by far the cheapest. The he TV arrives tomorrow, so hopefully I don’t regret not getting an OLED.
Dude once u go Hisense U8 , u can NOT go back to WOLED. My family (working in IT ) only buy high end Tech, Mac PRO with M chip, Ipad pro with M2 Chip, SONY Xm4 ear buds, iphone 15pros. BUT they only buy Hisense in terms of TV. Hisense U8N has --COLOR Volume Match Samsung S95C. Anything thats Bright needs MORE COLOR Density/volume than Black. Because as long as the enviroment is Bright, anything will be SEEN/knoledged by BRAIN 🧠 as Black. Like u turn lights on anything “black “ in your room is in fact dark grey, but your brain 🧠 tells you its Black. The SAme way that lights on the white wall in fact is grey, beige , but brain tells u its WHITE😅😮. Brain 🧠 does accesement over the environment to determine the Color. So our brain is biased. As tv gets Larger like 65” 75”, the image stretch OUT. The Color Volume make image more 3D, NOT black. Color volume n Brightness (both WOLED C3 C4 lack) make things more Contrast, 🥬 vs. 🧩. HIghway bill board look so Bright n vibrant because Color Volume, NOT black. U8N is goign to be a wow (its out of box prob on Vivid Mode, u prob need to change to STandard Mode n turn”Brightness” “Black level” down n “COLOR” up to look like OLED tho. )
@@Yoga_Tv_buying very cool, it’s being put where my LG OLED is, so it can go in the darker, more controlled basement and the big 3D plasma in the basement is going in the bedroom as long as I can find someone to help me carry it up 2 flights of stairs. Luckily I bought all the same wall mounts.
What is it with Hisense & not being able to make a TV with stable software? My H9F has a great picture for the $ but is buggy as hell... Turning the TV back on with Game Mode set prior has the colors & input lag all messed up.... I always have to cycle to a different picture mode & then back to Game Mode to get it working right. I have to do this every single time I turn on the TV. It's very annoying. The menus are also very laggy for the first minute or so after turning the TV on & don't always register your inputs. Clearly there is a problem here that they never fixed.
I have the I8K and I have not experience any bug, except audio sync issues with ARC. After tons of experiments and not real help from Hisense, I have discovered that any issues can be resolved by doing ONE thing - press and HOLD the power button when you turn off the TV! This actually resets the software, while a quick press just turns the power off. I realized this once I thought about the fact that it is Google OS, and you are basically doing what you would do on your Android phone. My sync issues are a thing of the past!
@@HardCold-Alquan You shouldn't have to do a reset just to get things to work right. That's the point. Don't make excuses for them, it's not acceptable.
The issue of bugs seems to be remanant in Hisence TV's. I guess they put are their R&D into having the brightest tv on the market as this one being even too bright for good quality picture. The old Samsung approach. May be pleasing to the eyes in the showroom but not so great in reallife situations.
@@racineurr.8924 For sure.... Having to change TV modes every time I turn it on just to get Game Mode working right is a huge bummer. The Android TV in my H9F is laggy as hell too. It seems to be an ongoing issue with many Chinese companies... They don't seem to put the proper time/money into R&D, specially when it comes to the software side of things.
I was almost convinced not to buy the u7k due to "bad viewing angle" reviews. Imho "the tv gets smaller at an angle" is the only concern you should have in regards to viewing angle, the brightness difference is negligible in comparison. I was a samsung prophet before but now i sing hisense hymns. Sony, well, you dont really find sony in SA, it's not even listed as a supported dstv device so not sure if you can watch sports on sony in SA, also, shops dont really stock them.
Awesome review as always. Apologies in advance for the incoming long-winded comment... Have loved (mostly) the 2023 U8K I gifted my parents for Christmas. Our only complaint is the Sonos Arc + Sonos One Surrounds have consistently experienced a bug on the unit's eArc HDMI port since Day 1. If the TV's audio settings are set to "Pass Through," several times across an hour of viewing, specifically streamed through set-top-boxes or other third party devices hooked up to the U8K's other HDMI 2.1 port will present a very annoying echoy distortion in the content's audio. It's unclear/seems to be completely random as to what causes the audio distortion and it goes away on it's own after 10-30 seconds, but is only a matter of time before it happens again and again. We've run a full gauntlet of troubleshooting steps since the TV was first installed. Power cycle devices. Replace all the cables and make sure they have a valid HDMI Ultra High Speed certification. Swap out different devices to rule out if it's a problem from the set-top-box or gaming console or etc. Factory reset the Hisense, factory reset the Sonos system, made sure firmware/software is all up to date. Use Manual/Custom DNS instead of Automatic. We have gigabit internet service and speeds are consistently at expected levels with good signal on all devices. The only "fix" that has worked is more of a workaround than a real fix. We have to shut off "Pass Through" and settle for Doly Digital Plus for the U8K's audio setting instead - however this seems to mean losing the ability to have Dolby Atmos when it's available. The U8K's native streaming apps have not presented the same echoy audio problem when "Pass Through" is re-enabled, the problem has been specific to streaming from other devices connected to the U8K via its HDMI 2.1 port. I'd like to test on the other ports, sadly the U8K's other HDMI ports do not support the HDMI 2.1 spec.
Caleb with Digital Trends gave it a very positive review. He didn’t say it was perfect but said most people would be happy with it. But if you’re that 1% that has to have the best at whatever cost then it’s probably not for you. The Sony 7 she mentioned as a better alternative is almost twice the cost.
Do u notice Digital Trends’ “ Possitive Reviews” often have a LOT of mushy looking Images. IF he says “omg Hisense U8k Blooming control is next level , its very black” --matching with a dull foggy image. He will say :”Look at the SHINE on the Wall of Samsung S95C so impressive” -Matching with Agreesive BLINK . He will say “ the image on U8N is next level” --Matching with a Dull image again. IN Advertising, they play with Neuro Science brain 🧠 reaction. when Visual /conscious Mind do NOT match. It creats “conflict” which release cortisol/tress/BAD experience. As an owner of a plasma tv years ago and from what I’ve heard and read OLED still has some burn in issues over time just like the plasma tv’s of the past. Even if the burn in is less than the plasma tv’s of yesterday year I’m sticking with the mini-led tv’s for now……imho. I’ve read that the new U7N is comparable to last years U8K……..
Great review. Thanks for the effort. I am tired of my 2016 OLED screen burn-in. I keep holding out hope for 3D HDR OLED…but……I like a C3 77 inch or 83 inch is in the cards.
Sounds like this could be amazing... With just a bit of polish. Hisense needs to work on the bugginess of their TV's in general. There has ALWAYS been problems with TV modes, specially on boot.
If the TV is dimmer and more colorful in HDR Game Mode, does that mean the EOTF and Rec2020 gamut is more accurate in HDR Game Mode than it is in HDR Filmmaker?
I’ve seen some couple utube videos to show how Hisense uses cheaper parts and how it’s put together with tape or glue when checking out burnt out 4:02 back lights. Am I wrong here? Is this a fact Hisense using cheaper parts? Any replies greatly appreciated.
@RTINGSdotcom thanks I appreciate it. I'm not sure if the 75 is better to spend a little more. And how are the colors on the 65 inches? I've heard they are pumey or flat in orange? But most reviews I see for the u8n state are fabulous. Also, have you tested the hisense soundbar ax5125h 5.1.2?
I just purchased a U8N 75in a week ago. The color and brightness are great. But the 2000 dimming zones do absolutely nothing to eliminate backlight bleed in the black bars. It’s worse in HDR, but it is very noticeable regardless. It creates a strobing effect when you watch content, which is very distracting if you also have used an OLED. I’ve tried killing the brightness of the display, but the backlight bleed persists. Do not buy this tv if you are seeking a cheaper option for OLED-like contrast.
Hello, I have a question and would appreciate your guidance. Is there a significant difference in picture quality between this TV and the LG G4? I’m planning to buy a new TV, but I'm not a gamer-just watch movies at night. Thank you in advance!
As long as I can see SDR (HDR downscaled to SDR) from wide viewing angles on the 55” model I’ll be happy. Hope it’s better than my 12 year old Vizio M55-C2.
Tv at diff size can be bit different i guess the S90C 83” are WOLED, but 77” is QD-OLED. The QN90C 50” n smaller are VA panel, but 55” n larger are ADS-PRO. Ppl sit close to 55”, prob dont need as bright as the 65” i guess :)
I’ve been scared away from these cheaper brands because of QC concerns, but then I had the thought that I could get one on sale at a steal, add a Best Buy warranty, and still come out cheaper. So it’s kind of a win-win. What do you reckon?
@@seth4321 I would do that definitely. I was looking into getting one of these in the 55 inch model but I am being scared away by the way less local dimming zones it has. It doesn't mean it will be worse in any way though
Is a shame so many capable LED TVs have such poor viewing angles. The brightness levels in HDR are impressive, with these mini LED TVs doing great black levels, too. But the image fades too quickly at an angle and that's a deal breaker for me.
That is quite unfortunate especially if you bring guests over frequently for sports or movie nights. The only thing you can really do to circumvent this (besides getting an OLED or waiting for newer LED models) is to buy the biggest screen size you can possibly afford and accommodate space for.

I'd be worried about reliability issues with this TV when ratings did their long-term reliability test the Hisense 8 model couple years back is one of the ones that failed early.
Hisense is arriving right now in Brazil. I want to buy the u8n. But we dont know this brand here in BrZil. They release tvs that break in a short time or they last for years?
They do not . I Have U8 older models 4 yr old, 3 yr . N my buddy has U7H ( U8 was sold out he wanted the 8) running fine . I think those were d best $2500 spent . I am getting. 75” -85” this year give my 55 to my family . Ppl often mistake their cheap low end Roku tv as the ULED. There is a gap between VW vs Audi A6 A7 .
I'm trying to decide between the TCL Q7 and Hisense I'U8k. I don't watch HDR but would like to have deepest blacks possible along with lowest motion stutter...
For the bug where the tv becomes darker, will unplugging the tv and plugging it back in or changing the hdmi to standard and back to enhanced fix it permanently? Or does this happen again later on?
It's because they use mediatek chipsets. They aren't cheap, they are the biggest manf on the market. They just haven't made a set with 4 hdmi ports that companies can buy. LG has 4 because they build their owns chip

Are the white balance calibration settings you used for testing for all HDR (filmmaker, dolby vision) /SDR (theatre night) modes? or just SDR modes? When you switch between HDR/SDR/dolby vision modes they have their own white balance profile settings which defaults to 0 for all %'s

Does anyone own the 55-inch? Apparently the only difference between the 55 inch and most of the other sizes is that there are less dimming zones. Does that mean the 55 inch picture quality isn't as good as the other sizes?
Rtings the unbiased reviewer that doesn’t get there TVs from manufacturers I can wholeheartedly trust. Thank You!
From their summary:
"The Samsung S90D/S90DD is outstanding for use as a PC monitor." Then further down:
"Unfortunately, the TV doesn't use a standard RGB subpixel layout, so text isn't very clear, and there is color fringing at the edges of bright windows or images due to the subpixel structure of QD-OLED panels."
If a display has unclear text, then it is a terrible display to use for a PC monitor as clear text is one of the most important features. Then there is the elephant in the room. From their own burn in tests:
"After two months, the two QD-OLED displays on this test (Samsung S95B OLED and the Sony A95K) are both showing signs of possible permanent image retention (burn-in), but the LG WOLED TVs like the LG C2 OLED and the LG G2 OLED are clean."
"After running this test, the amount of image retention didn't decrease at all; in fact, it looked even worse than our 2-month update photos, as the TVs had been running the regular CNN schedule for about a month between our 2-month update and when we started this extra test. Now that we've confirmed that these TVs are experiencing permanent burn-in, why is there such a difference between QD-OLED and WOLED displays?"
"What about PC users; should they avoid using QD-OLED displays? These results don't look good for computer users. A computer's user interface often has large white areas, even if you're using your computer's Dark Mode feature, and those areas are likely to cause burn-in."
No where in the review summary of the S90D is the high risk of permanent burn in mentioned for this panel.

Will you have the post calibration settings? To calibrate my TV, thanks ❤
The 75" u8n has a ADS IPS display while the 55", 65", and 85" have a VA display. The viewing angles on the 75" should be much better with that type of panel. It would be great if you could take a look at the 75" model.

Ps. I had really hoped the online tv reviewers woulda called Hisense out on their QC issues this year, maybe y’all did and they just didn’t listen :/ oh well 🎉
It got a 8 in color accuracy and with an average of only 3.5 de, most colors will be identical to the naked eye.
Hisense had --BUG issue evey year upon lunch . U8G had insane Tcon board mess up Pesterizarion , U8H has sever red ghosting , U8K had something else I forgot . They usually fix with software update within weeks at Incredibly speed . 😊
Yeah Quatum TV even uploaded new video saying new update made the 2021 U8G better !

I have U8K. Software up to date, no issues.
EXCELLENT REVIEW - thinking about getting one of these tvs
You have given me a lot to consider
I was almost convinced not to buy the u7k due to "bad viewing angle" reviews. Imho "the tv gets smaller at an angle" is the only concern you should have in regards to viewing angle, the brightness difference is negligible in comparison. I was a samsung prophet before but now i sing hisense hymns. Sony, well, you dont really find sony in SA, it's not even listed as a supported dstv device so not sure if you can watch sports on sony in SA, also, shops dont really stock them.
Well done 👏🏼 thank you for the info and demo 👍🏼🏴🇬🇧
Hi Abby great review😊
Imaeine U show a pic of your best friend to a female :” MY Buddy is SO HOT , u need to date him”. When he’s like Sub 5. Or a Man has weird looking type woman fetish, n SHOWS off :” omg she is so hot!!!!🥵” at their buddy’s house. Ppl will 😮 vomit air .
When repeat 4-5 negative emotion towards an Image , our brain 🧠 😮believes its BAD experience . It can bake in. (When woman get asulted in 1 house, get close to it, will still tiger the pain. Brain make relation to --Warn) so the woman will see the--HOUSE is danger, not the guy does the assault.

What is the difference between the 65 va panel and 75 ads pro panel?
we can't say as we haven't gathered data yet, but we did buy it so we'll be able to offer more insight once we buy and test it!

As long as I can see SDR (HDR downscaled to SDR) from wide viewing angles on the 55” model I’ll be happy. Hope it’s better than my 12 year old Vizio M55-C2.

It's interesting how the 55 u8k and u8n have the same amount of dimming zones. I thought Hisense said there were doubling them again.

Just got mine, but for some reason, the remote control won't backlit.
Luckly the one I got doesn't suffer from QA issues. YMMV, but honestly even Samsung has QA issues these days.

The SONYs do not have this issue - especially if you can get a X95/3L or a BRAVIA 7/9
@@danmks2 True, but Sony's Dolby Vision implementation is a bit odd. Which is a shame as their picture processing is legendary.
You can't have it both ways. The TV's with the best local dimming have worse viewing angles. It's always a tradeoff with mini led
@paulcox2447 I see you coping/fangirling so hard in every led tv comments section 🤣🤣

Good luck finding a u8k
@@atsoit314 they've got them available on Amazon but I don't see the 85-in on there
Is the HDR bug a hardware or software bug? Can it be fixed? Or is it already fixed?
For the bug where the tv becomes darker, will unplugging the tv and plugging it back in or changing the hdmi to standard and back to enhanced fix it permanently? Or does this happen again later on?
Is expense the biggest reason why no more than 2 HDMI ports are 2.1?
It's because they use mediatek chipsets. They aren't cheap, they are the biggest manf on the market. They just haven't made a set with 4 hdmi ports that companies can buy. LG has 4 because they build their owns chip
@@paulcox2447 thanks!
how is the Hisense U8N/TCL QM8 upscaling chipset compared to Samsung Quantum and Sony XR chipset for 720p or 480p?

Are the white balance calibration settings you used for testing for all HDR (filmmaker, dolby vision) /SDR (theatre night) modes? or just SDR modes? When you switch between HDR/SDR/dolby vision modes they have their own white balance profile settings which defaults to 0 for all %'s

Hisense U78N or Hisense U88N or tcl qm7 - 55 inch?
I have the 65" U8G. The panel is great but man.. the eArc/CEC is absolutely frustrating. I'm going to get an LG OLED next.
Does this TV has "Multiview" or "Picture in Picture" feature?
Also, what was the latency result for 1080p240hz?
Is this tv the same U80H that they sell in Latin America?
I doubt it. I think U8H is INSANE good tv tho. It still LOOKs Significant Better than 2024 SONY Bravia7. I have seen it in person before. I don’t know if the U8H is the one u are talking about. The H model is 2022. N the U8H was d flagship .
It has 160000:1 contrast ratio.
Bravia7 only has: 100000:1
Sony x90L has : 42000:1
If u can find a U8H in super discount it’s gem. :)
How does Samsung QN85C 75" compared to Hisense U8N models the same size?

So BGR isn't for U8N 75" panel's what's should be then!?
ADS-pro .
I am aiming got that one right now 😊
@@Yoga_Tv_buying curious tô see If contrast would be Nice too
@@thiagodelgado3128 it has 2X -Contrast Ratio of typical ADS. The Samsung last year QN90C has that same screen too. If u go to Bestbuy . Look for QN90C (that Samsung will NOT look as good as HIsense. Because it will have higher blooming than last year U8K). But u can see that Glossy elegant screen.
I have seen last year U8K 75” . EVERYONE in the store zoomed in calling it OLED . The Guy right cross from U8K 75”, he was looking at SONY A95K 75”. Mistook me as employee came over to like ask me bunch questions lol 😝 it was hilarious. Cuz I was d ONLY customer there entire large store beside him lol. N he like got so confused that ADS-PRO panel looked like QD-OLED n he was going around circles vetting that Hisense U8K . Lol n comparing that to A95K n got more n more confused cuz I dont think he expect U8K could deliver an Image look like SONY flagship QD-OLED A95K 75” lol, but U8K was more bright n vibrant. Lol
What’s the stand height of the Tv? Trying to fit my 2.7 inch soundbar in the front.
Footprint of the 65-inch stand: 15.75" x 11.42".
is it possible to accesss the HDR demo footage you use for the review?

Which's better Hisense U8N TCL C855 or Sony Bravia 7...?
I bought one and love it, it would be perfect with a no dead pixels, i got one :(

Hi, any idea of when you guys mite, get hands on the new Sony bravia 9? Thanks darrell
We're nearly finished testing it, so we should have a review of it soon!
The Dolby Vision on this TV is broken. It does not output brightness correctly. When I switch to my Roku with HDR, it looks way better--more vibrant and bright.
The 75 inch has a wider angle of viewing than the othe models its got a different panel
Thanks for the video! Are you guys doing a review on the TCL QM8 2024 anytime soon? Also a comparison between this Hisense U8N?
Thank you again,
They've posted that they've purchased the 2024 QM8, so the review is coming soon.
Is the U8N not their flagship 2024 TV? I'm confused.
Yeah the U9N will come out later. Then UX. U9N will be like SONY X93L VS X95L status
Ux is flagship flowed by u9n then u8n
Just ordered my U8N with the prime day discounts. I was considering the Sony x90l and even go all the way to an LG C4 but that one is 600 dollars more with the discount. I’ve always had lgs and they are great, never had hisense. If there something I don’t like I’ll sent it back. 600 bucks over 5-10 years use is really nothing if that means I’m happy with a better tv
Does Hisense even work after 2 years ?
Yes 🙌🏼 and come back ask again in 2 more years . Because my 3yr , 4yr old U8 r fine . :)
32” Roku --- 8.9 lb
50” Roku---19 lb
-- high end Hisense 😊
55” ULED---55 lb (Google OS )
65 U8 ----75lb
75” U8 ----95lb !
What is the difference between U8N and U88N?
Same tv. U88n is the canadian model.
Literally 0 reviews in the whole of the interenet on the 55 inch that is half as bright with like 40% fewer zones. It might as well get a different designation.
Its not bad panel. Looking at U8K 165000:1 cotnrast ratio. 75000:1 native contrast.
2024 SONY Bravia7-100000:1 contrast Ratio, 5700:1 Native contrast.
Sony X93L-72000:1 contrast ratio, 2150:1 patehtic native contrast.
SONY X95K-100000:1 contrast ratio, 2015:1 Native contrast.
Sony X95L--200000:1 contrast ratio, 5500:1 Native contrast.
Thoes were ALLL the TOP panels last 2 yrs. U8K 55” will still be better than 98% of LEDS Lobally today. But U8N is more advanced than U8K, with Better Bloomig control, HIGHER color volume, Larger Memory/faster processor. Its INSANE value.
I went to Bestbuy last week. The U7K last year even look a LOT like (in between ) version of X90L n Bravia7. BB had U7K facing X90L n Bravia7. Lol. It was so Comical that a very budget U7K look better than X90L. I have seen U8K 55” in store last year when I was looking at 75” 55” U8k in person. I know what U8k 55” look like. OMG Its so nice, image very refined. COLOR Dense/Rich looks like QD-OLED. It LOOKS SIGNIFICANTLY 😮more Advanced than Matted Screen Bravia7, X90L, n (SEVERLY low native contrast soft image) x93L.
WE do NOT put 8 cylinder Engine in Small light weight 2Door coup car. 🚗 the 55” so shrunken zoom in its UNNECESSARY to have OVER amount of LED (cost more, but customers expetct to pay little or same).
--the same reason TCL Qm8 only come in 65”. In Business/consulting/Marketing. There is CAP. HOW much customers willing to spend for the Size/tier. Its a BAR . We dont want to pay $$$ regardless how much a SHAMPOO will make our hair 5% sleeker. BUT in Costco in LARGE Quality , we are willing to pay MORE in BULK. So its MARKETINg principle--Never put FLAGSHIP in SMALLER CAR/TV….(kids size iphone)…consumers have a CAP in mind. They will ACTUALLY be MORE angry n UNappreciative of the LARGER size $$$$, because they are Used to get small for “cheap”now “just size up why so much more”!!
In business Marketing:” if u put Highest tech in Small Models that u can ONLy charge X amount of low price, it has CONSUMERs Relate your BRAND as --CHEAP. “ AS Hisenes invest MILILLIONS $$$$ for NBA etc. They stil release 55” for their high end panels last a few yrs they are donig US a Favor.
In China, i saw this year they do NOT release the U8N in 55”. I was surprised to find out when I went to look for reviews. 😊

I know it’s a toss up, but gray uniformity is most important to me
I read the 75 is a different screen type and is not as bright as the rest of the line up..
Which 65" is better to get the u8n @899.00. s90c @ 999.00 or the lg b4 @1100.00? Or spent a couple more hundred and get the c4?? Any advice is welcome
OMG C4 is d worst pick. Do not get tricked. U8N has 4X color-- Density over C4. (Bright colors -AS LONG as Casted by DENSE color VOLUME/ Density) its bullet proof. For example in science, 🧬 in Club seeing bright laser light, or in door NEON light so bright but clear 😮DUE to INSANE Density of COLOR. So eyes COLOR sensors will Pick it up 🆙 as --Color, vs Eye’s rods ( black/white sensor) picking it up as (brightness/white).
By being 3x brighter than S90D 4X brighter than C4. And has 4X color Density of C4. Ur BRAIN 🧠, NOT eyes will Automatically focus on Color and Transition SHADEs to create d--BRAIN analysis of 3D. For example day time , looking at a Corgi/ Shiba / Golden Retriver. WHAT make them MORE beautiful??? D Brightneess of white on Corgi, n the Color n shine on Golden Retriver. D MORE RED/Color Dense d MORE beautiful.
Human eyes has 2X---Color SEnsors for RED/ Yellow ( long wave length Light) vs…..COOL tone UV (short wave length light)
Welcome to go to Bestbuy to check out C4, Bravia8 Demo--All Black/Blue based. Its Cover UP for the INFRIORITY. N when u bring TV home. It will NOT look THAT good as Demo. MOST ppl live/buy/enjoy it with Placebo. D same way that we pay $70 STeak 🥩 at classy Steak House at KEG for Bday. Suddently thoes Steak 🥩 TASTE so much MORE juicer / flavourful than the Home made Beef stew. ---Human are biased. N Advertisicng company KNOWs how to trick US to believe whatever we FEEL / hear is REALity n once echo chamber baked in. => CASH COW!🐮
ABSOLUTELY U8N. 2024 U8N is first time 100% 💯 FULL GLOSS screen. ONLY Bravia9, U8N Qm851 are full Gloss. It actually LOOKS more glorify than S90D or C3 C4.
I live 4 min walk from Bestbuy in Toronto. N the C4 is Significantly MORE Blue casted than S95B S90C. Because they hv to make the “ tier” Gap more clear in order to promote the Flagship S95 series. Becasue the S90C was too nice that last year S95C did NOT sell well in fact the S95C was SO gorgeous.
Side by Side , U8N is Signifantly more pop, vibrant. Less blue casted than both S90C S90D , C3 C4.
U8N has---3X color Density of LG G3 G4 (rtings). D Larger the tv is. 65” especially up 75” 85”….everything Stretched OUT. Its the Density of Color casted on Bright light Makes small pockets of visuals 3D. NOT Black.
Black oled is ONLY best for like prob 40” 50” 55” smaller gamming things.🥐🥬🍑🔮🧿🥮🍁🌸🌷🍀🐦🔥🪼🪲🐞👘 seriously real science. 👚👕👗👡 Color Volume. our Science professor explained color n TV watchiing Call d BEST TV are LEDs(high performance ) , OLED low color, Blue casted, DIM. its Triple inferior.
She told us:” 😂this is Funtional Secience. Wont be in exam. Just trying to help u in the future. U will most likely NOT hearing this for d Rest of your life” lol😂--it was so random.

OUR BRAIN 🧠 AUTO--PROCESS “ BIASED” things when surounding IMAGES are “Brighter”. By having brighter Tv can Actually Make the certain Images “slightly” elevated (not blinding” but OUR BRAIN 🧠 😮 Will Automatically Seeing the NEXt color as------DARKER! 😮😮😮😮😮😮
NO BESTBUY ppl will EVER TELL U this. They either Arrogant that they Hate Hisense/TCL. I was lookign at Hisense U7N asking “where is U8N” . The GUY was ALREADY TRIGERED when I mention Hisense n SONY (at same time) lol. He really does NOT know even a slight amount of Color info. MOST TV GURUs on youtube/ Professional Calibrator (SONY Reference Blue Casted FILM monitor --is HOAX. Said by professor again) fixated in (NORTH AMERICAN 😮STYLE) FILM - Accuracy.🎉 REAL COLOR Accuracy does NOT exist because our Brain 🧠 is Biased constantly. 😂
PROFESSOR:” AS long as d TV can reach 98-99% Blooming control, AS long as Brightness 🔆 n Throw in DENSE COLOR Volume = Bullet Proof = MORE 3D. NOT black, Black is ONLY best if Brightneess and Color Density REady. But OLED only has 20-35% color Density of LED which 🧢 caps) 😅
@Yoga_Tv_buying I appreciate your input. I will be going to BB later today and make that final comparison
@@DG-nb3hi yeah no worries.
I suggest u take yr phone record C4 demo .
Then if u see U8N U7N record d demo .
Same S90D . Usually those demos r meant to Wow U !

Our BRAVIA 7 review will be live next week!
I'd like to see a separate review from 55" 65" 75" all are different. 55" nits are the lowest and 75 " has a different panel.
We’re actually buying and testing the 75” model as well!
Does anyone own the 55-inch? Apparently the only difference between the 55 inch and most of the other sizes is that there are less dimming zones. Does that mean the 55 inch picture quality isn't as good as the other sizes?
My U7K broke in 2 months, their panel quality is very low.
