It's kind of unnerving that Chiles can't say what went wrong. As if you're "hot" is what causes success. Smith said they weren't running routes properly and I did see the play where the receivers ran into each other. So there had to be reasons Chiles totally sucked in the 2nd half. He was abysmal. How do you fix anything if you just think it's all left up to some random thing like being hot?
You need to change your account name I you can't do anything but trash the team when they are in year 1 of a rebuild with over a dozen starters injured
@@lylemoore3827 Which will turn into 5 years of a rebuild. Look at Smith's track record, he was a horrible recruiter at Oregon State. Even his 10-win season, he lost to every ranked team he played. The following year he went back to 8 wins. But apparently if you don't pay NIL you can't have an opinion. I have the feeling I'm just going to lose interest with money making such a nauseating importance now. I think it may be the healthier option, just find something else to occupy my time than college sports.
I'm not going to lie, between Smith's dopey personality and these players, the program feels like it's in really bad hands. That mediocrity is the goal. To just not suck. This program is not going to contend for a B1G.
@@j_r_junior Not that it matters, but I would have preferred a MAC coach who dominated the MAC and knew how to recruit Ohio. And preferably a defensive-minded coach. I hated the Smith hire from the start. And now I just feel validated for my fears. Crap recruiting, a losing record his first season. And dude just exudes LOSER. Honestly, I think Barnett does a better job had he stayed with his coaching staff.
@@YTSparty I mean, in practicable terms, who is the human being Sparty should hire? What’s his name? Not an abstract description. And it does matter because there is only a small basket of qualified individuals on the planet, so if the knives are coming out for Smith this quickly, I’m expecting the mutineers to be equipped with a concrete, specific plan for the new leadership. O.w., my suggestion is to stop flailing through the year one growing pains and just enjoy the wins, however ugly. The instant gratification faction is beyond insufferable
@@YTSparty you're an idiot if you think Barnett had any chance at being better than Smith. Smith has proven he can build a program at a lower tier power 5 school. Only reason you're calling for a a "dominant MAC coach" is because Indiana's MAC coach and players went 10-0 against a trash schedule
@@j_r_junior Well I knew the names when we were searching. Not sure it matters because of his buyout, he's not going anywhere. And it's not even instant gratification. We were B1G #4 recruiting class in 2022 and 2023. Smith's first year 2024, we dropped to #11 for 2025 we stand at #16. We're poised to have a losing season/record. Sorry, but when your coach is top 8 paid in the B1G, he should be recruiting at least top 8. And having a winning season. What's insufferable are all the excuses. I knew when everyone was like "Smith was in a bad situation at Oregon State" that the excuses would follow him. "Oh he has injuries" "oh he's just starting" "oh he inherited a mess". Honestly any MAC coach could do what he's doing now, but everyone has an excuse why a top 8 coach is coaching like a bottom 4 coach.
Luv Chiles & this staff no matter what.
The kid had back to back games where he showed up. Aiden has been getting better. I BET THE OVER! ❤❤❤❤ GO GREEN

Who are your candidates for HC over Smith?
