This video is aimed towards children and people with learning or hearing difficulties, but can be enjoyed by all :)
Makaton is a unique language programme which consists of signs and symbols, ideal for those with learning difficulties. The visual aid helps people to communicate and express needs.

(The signs are very similar to British Sign Language)
Although I've been using Makaton signs for the past since 2004, I only did my first formal Makaton course in 2014. And though I have been studying signing books since then, I am still only a beginner! The reason I began signing is because I have several fostered and adopted sisters who use Makaton to communicate and I originally began making my videos to encourage them as they learn new signs easier when it is fun. My sisters and I all love music! Since then, it has grown because my sisters wanted to share the videos with their school friends. I hope you continue to enjoy my videos as much as I enjoy making them.

I'll be honest, I've actually used this sign language video in one of my projects in primary, my classmates and my teachers were so amazed that they ended up making me do it for assembly. It actually took my mom and everyone else by surprise. I was even surprised that they kept the photo for graduation and end of term celebration that I cried. God i miss primary now.😥😥😥

Hello! If you didn’t I was using this in a school primary assembly and we had to copy the sign language going back I really feel sad how I’ve grown up and I remember all my friends were really worried if they messed it up but we kept practicing until we got it

This really helped me!!!!! I've been doing Makaton since I was quite young as we had to do it in primary school. One of my friends has Downs Syndrome so she learnt through Makaton and we had to learn it too. I absolutely love this song and this is really good. Great job! Xx

This is amazing! I can’t believe it you have lots of songs and I do it with my school! In my school there are people that can’t speak properly so hopefully I will be able to do some sign language so I can speak to them!

Brilliant! I especially like that you do sing (or at least mime - I don't know!) along with signs, as this reinforces to my children who use makaton that they should be trying to talk at the same time as signing.
I don’t get why these vids only get about 1000 likes, if that. If I could give this video and stuff as many likes as I wanted I would give them more than 100000000000
this was very fun to watch and read sign language in new way... this amazing and fun to watch. i like watch people who are talent to sing long with a song in both way.. i have family member that i learning to sign to them.. but music one who learn and teach other in music of sign language is new to learn in music.

This is brilliant! My son is three years old and has speech delay. Makaton has been recommended for him to learn to help him express himself better when he can't get the words out. He is obsessed with The Greatest Showman Soundtrack. His favourite is The Greatest Show. Have you made any other videos for songs from the soundtrack? if not is there a chance that you will be?

It’s an Extended project as part of my A Levels on “The benefits of using Makaton for children with speech and language disorders” and I hope to go onto Speech and Language therapy next year at Leeds Beckett.
