I ve been trying this for last few days and i think its pretty good. If you communicate with ur jg you can get the soul pretty easily. I think my team got soul around 20-25 mins %80 of the games i played. The problem with this is when your mid laner and jg sees the free farm in the top lane they cant help themselfs and when you fight on bot side its not a 4vs3 or 5vs4 anymore, its even in numbers but your team has a very underleveled twitch. Also when you jg is not there you cant get the dragon and if they get even 1 dragon it becomes very hard to get the soul. And one other problem is sometimes your bot loses the lane before you hit lvl4 and go bot. When that happens its just over for you, you whole gameplan doesnt work
Not a Twitch otp but he is my most played champion, tried to play roam twitch top before with the same early game strategy but with the support item mwah, delicious. Won 4 games on it in a row rn, stomped so hard enemy had bounties every game and it did not matter.

This might be a good question to bring to the Discord server and ask! (It's the 3rd link down in the description). (Suddenly I feel like a server advertisement mbmb - it's just great in there and people are generally helpful/like chatting about ideas~) GLHF!
i kinda disagree with the fact that he maxes w second, what everyone should do on ap twitch is to put at least 3 points into q for the long invisibility, and then max w for the insane slow, having a lot of invisibility as twitch is really important because you have more time to set up good really good fights ganks baits and a lot more. (putting 1 point on r is also really important so you can get points for your basic abilities really early)
I'm starting to see why we always see this idea from top and not mid. The 2 outer turrets topside are far less important than the 2 outer turrets mid. If both your mid towers are gone, the enemies have control over both sides of the jungle, whereas with top, not only do they have less control over jungle, but they are much further from dragons, which these roam type players prioritize, and Baron doesn't spawn until 20 mins into the game, when the game at high ranks are often already decided so giving them baron control means nothing.
the problem is that you need to have a teammate for this strategy, which most people dont have. like how i was playing malzahar mid and the enemy kept overextending and i didnt get ganked once in 20 min
I'm convinced from watching all these "off meta" videos that the best way to play top is to NOT play top. To take a top that roams everywhere and helps the jungle/other lanes get ahead, only going top when there is literally nothing else to do.
Oh my God I am almost certain that I met this guy smurfing in ranked. I play dark harvest anivia mid and I was in a game with someone who claimed to be a smurfing grandmaster player who was running this but as support with like the same exact strategy. They queued up with me because they saw I had won all of my previous games recent ranked games, 20 in a row, and I think they were boosting the account they were playing on so they invited me to duo. After like 5 or 6 games they decided that the Shen we were playing with didn't deserve to win and intentionally threw and left the group lol.
This is what i've been saying about invis/camo,this guy's tactic works because he has camouflage,it should have longer range like akshan or an indicator like pyke those two are the only acceptable ones lol

It's awesome that players are are already pulling it off, but what if more runes and items were built around river instead of just laning? small correction at 9:23 : ap twitch can reach 105+% slow full build, even more with mejai !
With these items it's not 105 right? Ratty barely ever gets past rabadons
@@HappyChimeNoises with support item you would need full build + fully stacked mejai to reach 100+% slow, if he rarly gets past rabadons then yeah it's around 75-80%, but when you add a 6th item in this buid it should be more like 90-95% (with elixir ofc)
@@HappyChimeNoises I thought it would be worth mentionning because a lot of people are surprised by that slow when they face a full build ap Twitch, beside that great video! As a Twitch otp it gave me some ideas to try and reach higer than diamond this year :D
Oh fuck it's friday already. Time flies
When that happens its just over for you, you whole gameplan doesnt work
11:06 you love to see the kayne dodge the autos on twitch ult by just walking forward
I love how smite janna top has become the baseline when comparing roaming top strategies
These videos are ju8st so damn awesome! I love it!
bro I played this as a joke like 4 days ago and it was BRUTAL... had no idea a pro was doing it too lmao
I think you didn t put the Rakan top on the tier list and I really want to know what s the rating, so could you rate him in the next video please?
Watch the Rakan top video again and then come back here. It's in there
Not a Twitch otp but he is my most played champion, tried to play roam twitch top before with the same early game strategy but with the support item mwah, delicious. Won 4 games on it in a row rn, stomped so hard enemy had bounties every game and it did not matter.
In this episode, we look at how this off meta player wins top: He dont.
he exposed this guy oh my god that ending was so different than what i excepted
I mean I just guessed that it was toxicity off the bat, but yeah-nice to see HCN smite him for being an asshat, even if his build is cool.
I think this strategy could work with Akshan using his w stealth.
Too bigger radius I dont think it could gank as effectively
“His account got banned, but not for the reason you might think” No one would guess toxicity, right?…
The same would work with Akshan, ive got a stupid idea now thx
I keep asking davemon on stream when his happy chime noises vid is coming out. My mans really out here procrastinating hard. As a pyke mid main ill hold out and wait.
Davemon is procrastinating hard not me, still waiting for him to do the interview questions
@@HappyChimeNoises i suspected as much
I hope one day I get featured on this chanel for playing someone off meta
Do you have a link to the full tier list? Like the image, not the video? Great video too, I'm loving these off-meta ADCs top lane. I love ADC champs but main top, so it's tough trying to find good stuff.
This might be a good question to bring to the Discord server and ask! (It's the 3rd link down in the description).
(Suddenly I feel like a server advertisement mbmb - it's just great in there and people are generally helpful/like chatting about ideas~)
GLHF!
@@lunal3blanc Sure thing, thank you!
@@FPSTyler1Clips np!
Oh look! someone using strats i was using since two seasons ago.
All top lane "off meta builds" are just not playing top. I find it hilarious that its better to do anything else but top. Great vid ^^
Would be fun to see the guys shout out in the video's comment and concluding by "Nothing toxic but get cancer !"
Great video as always !
i kinda disagree with the fact that he maxes w second, what everyone should do on ap twitch is to put at least 3 points into q for the long invisibility, and then max w for the insane slow, having a lot of invisibility as twitch is really important because you have more time to set up good really good fights ganks baits and a lot more. (putting 1 point on r is also really important so you can get points for your basic abilities really early)
I'm starting to see why we always see this idea from top and not mid. The 2 outer turrets topside are far less important than the 2 outer turrets mid. If both your mid towers are gone, the enemies have control over both sides of the jungle, whereas with top, not only do they have less control over jungle, but they are much further from dragons, which these roam type players prioritize, and Baron doesn't spawn until 20 mins into the game, when the game at high ranks are often already decided so giving them baron control means nothing.
great video, thx :)
the problem is that you need to have a teammate for this strategy, which most people dont have. like how i was playing malzahar mid and the enemy kept overextending and i didnt get ganked once in 20 min
After like 5 or 6 games they decided that the Shen we were playing with didn't deserve to win and intentionally threw and left the group lol.
i mained full ap twitch top for about a month but never thought to roam
the amount of toplane roaming champions that doesn't give a shit about top towers really says how much impact toplane has.
aaay you daddy haha, i dunno if you saw my comment on your last video but you delivered and added the ap twitch big thumbs up
Its been aprox 2 hrs since
HappyChimeNoises uploaded their video, yet someone already played this champ with this exact tactic against me.
did you win?
This is what i've been saying about invis/camo,this guy's tactic works because he has camouflage,it should have longer range like akshan or an indicator like pyke those two are the only acceptable ones lol
I mean, Janna and Rakan seem to do the tactic just fine and they don't have stealth
@@Mekcstriker Pretty sure you can ward against those two and they dont just pop out of nowhere
@@marcuscortez6186 ik I'm just saying that they're doing the same strats as this guy without stealth, and doing good as well. You don't need stealth to do this. Just good map awareness 👍
@@Mekcstriker Yeah you're saying something completely different to what i'm saying. I'm not talking about that strat i'm talking about having indicators like pyke or a larger "see" range like akshan
I wonder if Riot will ever officially support these river-esque playstyles (i.e. prioritize roam over lane). It's awesome that players are are already pulling it off, but what if more runes and items were built around river instead of just laning? Sounds like a nightmare to balance, but would certainly shake up the game (for better or worse).
i remember when i started playing lol at the end of 2017 i used to known twitch as a top player
its only a matter of time until he makes a vid of alistar top
When you show the build... please give me a second to take a screenshot at the end ;-;
Just tried this, my whole team was 0/2 by the time i hit lvl 4. Could we have more clear instructions?
i have had 3 games now with twtich top, 2 times i almost one, but all 3 startet with firtblood bot lane for enemys on minute 2 or 3 and second kill in mid lane after i started there (enemy had no flash , kata vs tf, tf won lane after my gank) so yeah this "method" require a team that have more than 1 IQ. Funniest shit, u get pinged for playing twitch top after ur botlane dies lv 2 and mid lane loses with flash
first game with this i went 14/2/13. 10/10 would recommend
i’ve tried it in low elo and i honestly wouldn’t recommend it. people keep going top even if you spam them not to and it ruins the whole thing. EDIT: looks like i got a bit unlucky it’s fine but it gaps your team mentally sometimes
Wait, this isn't RATIRL? I'm pretty sure this is everyone's favourite rat streaming from an scandinvian jail cell.
