One of the best short walk routes in the Peak District | English Countryside Woodland Walk

- Starting at the beautiful village of Grindleford we made our way along through fields, woodland and bridleways to the village of Froggatt. From there we headed up the steep path to the top of Froggatt Edge, where we walked across to the end of the Edge and back down through woodland and fields to where we began in Grindleford.
What you might see on the walk...
Wildflowers, meadows, old bridlepaths, villages, woodland, the river Derwent, amazing views from the top of FroggattEdge, and awesome array of birds and wildlife! And only 3.7 miles altogether (could be made much longer if needed!) Although if you're after a shorter walk like me, this is a belter!!
For me, this is up there with the best walks in the Peak District! Absolutely loved this one. 😀

That brought back some memories of walks I did with my long lost soul mate in the 60s and later.
This is a wonderful area to walk. First climbed on the Edges about 55 years ago and have been back so many times since. The paths never get old, unfortunately I do.
