Hey there! Sub 681 here. That looked like an awesome yet thrilling ride. Love the TW. Your tires are definitely “all that”… I’ve got a 2020 Honda Monkey and have been kicking around the idea of TW200. Gonna watch some more of your videos now, good video Bud!!
Thanks for being 681, but I have to tell you a few days ago 667 became my hero. I've tested a few tires, going to continue doing that. Thanks for the sub and comment. DSA
@@dualsportapocalypse yep, I can see that being a “nail biter” until the next subscriber… If I ever make it that far, I’ll probably be feeling the same way. 😃
I rode my TW in snow like this in Jan 2022 in North Carolina, no studs, and it was an absolute pain the whole time, all it wanted to do was go down… my buddies riding 4 wheelers were having a lot more fun. These bikes are great without snow on the ground though!
Thanks for the comment and watching DSA! My studs are about 3/4"..not for ice, but work great on ice. I mostly ride snow and sometimes they work great, can hit 50, other times it's a bucking bull...depends on conditions..100% it's always fun!
i have studs on my klx too but i find the same issue in deeper snow. if its hard packed or solid ice its perfect. I normally don't ride in that deep on snow for the reason you experienced
It's funny in the spring time of Michigan after a long brutal winter of negative 30s as soon as it gets to 30s + people are outside with their shirts off mowing the yard and barbequing 🤣 . Now go ride to a sled head bar with the TW and act like it's normal lol
It's true.. 30 or 40 feels warm. Trail was soft on this ride, borderline un- rideable. If I find it right I'll open it up, see if I can find some speed. Thanks DD..
Holy**** in Florida if it's under 70°F we are shaking lol we are used to 80-100°F and high humidity. Humidity is the killer though it'll sweat you to death
Looks like fun to me. I looked in your Details in the About section and it said you are in the United States. That doesn’t tell me much but I assume it’s United State of America. What part of the US? Colorado, Main, Washington, where? It would be nice to know who’s getting such nice snow. Thanks for putting the vid out there.
Lol! Your crazy bud! Pretty sure you aren’t supposed to ride a dual sport on a snowmobile trails in MI. I with ya, can’t handle seeing a 666 sub count anyway! 😂👌🏼✌🏼
I saw that 666, was hoping someone would quickly end that, thanks! I studied the trail rules, I'm good on many trails here, but it's in sections that make it difficult.
@@dualsportapocalypse lol! I got you! I was unaware about thoses traiI rules always thought snowmobile trails were dedicated for only sleds. Who knew?! 🤷🏻♂️
Ya duck taped the vents on yer helmet? Don't the feathers tickle? 😁 BTW it's not the snow that's 'crazy' ... it's the rider. 😉
Lots of likes on your comment, must be the consensus.
Nice hdb bars too
I love them! Thanks
Wintrish up yonder, shiver me timbers N-stuff.
All the above... Thanks for the comment and watching DSA!
You are an inspiration, sir.
Thank you!!
Snow is definitely a lot easier on a Rokon. But ya got out there and gave it all ya could! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks..
You should probably make a ski attachment for the front wheel

@@dualsportapocalypse So who is 667 and what made them your hero?
Subtract one... I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with a TDUB, it'll ride beyond my abilities.
Fixbuildplay was 667, he saw my subcriber count at 666. Hit subcride then sent me a message.

I really enjoyed this one! Love all the snow!!!
Thank you!
That was cool as heck. 🤘
Thanks! The trail was terrible, loose snow on top of crap snow. Zero traction. On paved it wasn't an issue.. I appreciate your comment!
Bro I rode in snow for the first time today and almost had my first drop somehow saved it
It's fun and you'll do lots of saves in snow. It's a huge skill builder! Thanks

Great ride!
Thank you.. Sketchest ride I've had in awhile. Road was perfect, trail was ridiculous...
Man I think a quad would be better here
Worst snow since November, un-rideable! I hit 45 same trail a few days prior. Cold ride video. Thanks for wstching!
Oklahoma and Michigan definitely are opposites. I won't ride below 50, and you ride 50 below.
50 is 100* warmer... give it a try. You could do it easy... Thanks for the comment!
Hippo hands brother….
I appreciate the idea, but I need my hands free. I do have a set on my Yamaha VK540 and love them. Thanks

Normally it'll go anywhere under 2.5ft, this was strange... I hit 45 on it a few days prior. Not sure how I didn't dump it... pure luck!!

A handful of hot humid days a year up here. 60f is a really good temp for hard riding.
No snow in Tennessee but it’s a little cold 🥶 not like you guys 👍🏼
Winter is just as fun as summer, but less mosquitoes. Thanks for the comment and watching DSA!

U.P. of Michigan... I'm a Yooper. Thanks...
You've got to let a whole lot of air our of your tires and go slow. Your tires can't be in the least bit hard on snow or sand.
I ride snow pretty often, nothing would work on that ride. Base was nonexistent mush...
how do you clean up your bike after playing in the snow / salt? heated garage or something?
No salt on these side roads, just sand.. it won't be pavement for awhile. Thanks..

Is there any danger of getting your pants caught up in the studs and scraping your leg or getting pulled off the bike?
It's possible, but for some reason I never worry or think about it. Thanks for watching DSA! I appreciate the comment..
He’s not even close to being able to touch the tires. He’s good
How is the skid-plate-reflected noise in the snow? ; )
Unchanged... highly recommend that mod. 👌
I just found your channel.
I look forward to seeing more.
