I think the only recent RBs ahead of Jeanty as prospects are Bijan and Saquon. Gibbs…obviously unbelievably explosive but he wasn’t all that special between the tackles coming out of Alabama. Now, he’s gotten A TON better in that area since his rookie year. I mean a ton. I mean it’s truly incredible how good that guy has gotten between the tackles but he absolutely was NOT that coming out of ‘Bama.
I think Jeanty really is the best of both Bijon (Contact balance & tough running) and Saquon (Elite athleticism and explosiveness). You are just scared to think he is even better than then because of where he went to school (Even though they have been churning out NFL backs as good as just about any school in the country for the last 15 years)

I think Jeanty is absolutely a better prospect than Bijon. Bijon’s main “knock” was actually that he was not a super elite athlete or explosive runner. I think that has shown in the league, given that his longest run in 2 years is 35 yards. Bijon’s best trait was his ability to force missed tackles, and Jeanty has a higher forced missed tackle rate than Bijon. Jeanty, meanwhile, had like 4 more 50+ yard TDs this year by himself than any team (Through the regular season at least). If you look past who they played for? What key RB traits was Bijon actually better at than Jeanty? I think people just assume he’s better cuz he went to Texas

I think Nic Singleton absolutely deserves to be in that conversation for tier 2 RBs. Size-speed freak. A weapon out of the backfield. Can destroy angles and is a threat for a house call every time he touches it. There are some issues at times with his vision/feel…some impatience and questionable decision making. There are other minor nitpicks I have as well. But the guy is dripping with traits and I absolutely believe he has the potential to be a quality starter in the league. And…I just read that he’s headed back to PSU. 😂 But anyway, yeah, he’s a dude.
Singleton is the perfect example of a guy that looks the part but will not be great at the next level. You catch Jeanty’s forced missed tackles at 151? Singleton was in like the 30’s after the Boise State game. If you equalize per carry, Jeanty (40%) was still over double Singleton (~18%), who’s rate is below average in college. His vision and patience is actually fine, he just does not make guys miss, which is the most important trait for an RB
@ young player with a ton of physical ability. I wouldn’t write him off yet. But yes, his vision and patience are absolutely a work in progress. I can show you numerous instances on tape where he doesn’t let the block develop, or where he prematurely or erroneously bounces it outside, or where he flat out takes the wrong crease. It is indeed the mental part of his game in need of the most growth.
@ Then that’s even worse. He has issues with vision/patience, and he can’t force missed tackles! I’ve more watched him the last few games this year, where maybe you would say he improved in that department. But forcing missed tackles isn’t really a skill one “Develops,” you kinda have it or you don’t, and he doesn’t
Milroe should have gone back and gained more experience but my goodness, that talent is VERY tantalizing. Definitely a developmental type right now - needs to develop better and more consistent touch on certain throws; needs to develop the ability to process faster and trust what he’s seeing as well - and he may never get there. But if he does…look out. There are superstar tools there.
Any chance Genty falls in the draft if he isn’t as big as his listed weight? Let’s say he measures in 5’7.5 and 208. Or is he locked in as a top 15 pick
Anyone else concerned about Jeanty getting 374 carries in 2024? I know he's young, but historically that type of workload isn't beneficial for RBs. Thanks, Pros
Your call. Depends if you think highly of TMac. If you do, then do the swap so you can get your hands on him at 1.02. If not, for me, I’ve got the guys from 1.03 to 1.05 in the same tier. Actually, I have TMac in the 1.02 to 1.05 tier, but most people have Jeanty at 1.01 and TMac at 1.02. Good luck!
this rookie class isnt as deep as the last 2. i usually fix issues via the draft in my dynasty , but i might have to make a trade (for a vet) to fix my team next szn,

Can’t believe the guy who was in a conversation relative to Barry might be underrated, but he might actually be. That dude is slippery like an eel.

agreed, throwing gibbs up there is a lot of recency bias and I actually had him 1b to bijan

Always forgetting to give skatteboo his well earned recognition
What do we think of Giles Jackson?
just not sure why everyone is saying ebuka is bust proof. NFL is different. Being a solid college wr doesn't always translate!

Qb one in this draft is Cam ward not S Sanders
All depends!
If you have the 1.01 and need a QB, why not just trade that pick for a QB, rather than trying to draft one?
