Pre-emptively bending the knee to Nimrod and allowing him to become a dominion makes no sense. All that will do is ensure everyone dies. . . .I guess that is the whole reason they had Nimrod question his future. Professor Xavier is like that Politician who believes he's doing things for the greater good . Even if that means doing things that are wrong . I believe this has actually been happening since the X-Men began .
I already enjoyed Apocalypse as a villain but the Krakoan era has pushed him the same way Magneto was in AoE. He’s easily my favorite X character now with Sabertooth in his place even though the power scales differently.
I don’t understand how these recent X-Men comics can have so much filler with so much unanswered and incomplete story to wrap up in a few comics. Disappointing considering how amazing the first half of the Krakoan era was.
So in another words the sentinels are about to go full Skynet on humanity and will probably blame the mutants if their plans fails which would be really crazy
I never liked the idea of professor Xavier using a machine to track and monitor every mutant's thoughts. And I always wanted to know just how Xavier made his money to fund his schools.
Charles was from a rich family, his father was a nuclear scientist who made a fortune with his research. Bankrolled in part, as we find out much later, by Sinister.
I love it when villains or former villains are well written. It’s always been the treatment I wanted for Aizen in Bleach, but Kubo very specifically doesn’t want to give him significant backstory or character. A damn shame and waste of potential
I don't like this trend of Professor X becoming more and more like Magneto, and Magneto becoming more and more like X. Changing shit around for no real purpose rhyme or reason
Rob is still my favorite of comic reviewers. This wrapping up of the Fall of Krakoa has been disappointing. Part of it, from other reviewer's evaluations and other part is how Marvel seems to be rushing. all the crumbs that Marvel's dropped since the start of Krakoa and how they are rushing to make it fit in. This issue has some interesting moments. Xavier's deal with Omega Sentinel, Cyclops frustration/anger at Xavier's actions is justified given the number of times, Cyclops has disappointed with all of Charles's decisions that are unliked the Xavier that he followed in his younger self. Cyclops idolized Xavier up on the pedestal for his vision, only to be let down time & time again. Yet, Cyclops has forgotten about his own direction when he received the Phoenix force power or his own direction when he worked with Magneto. This issue with the revival of Krakoa, sacrifice of wrongside and Arakko mutant was interesting, as it leaves questions on what happens to Krakoa and Arakko mutants after Orchis is defeated. We know there will be 3 new titles in June and 3 more later on, but none so far hinted about Krakoa & Arakko mutants future. The titles coming out, seem situated on Earth/U.S. There are still Doom's mutants, Savage land mutants and others still around and occurring.
My question is what is Nimrod’s powers? I feel like he’s always a threat but like could someone just warp his reality away or something?…or Hulk just rip him apart? 😂
Basically his power is a leser slower version of darwins power (adaptation) but his adaptions are permanent. That + the fact he rebuilds himself whenever he dies and you can see him as basically marvel version of doomsday except unlike doomsday nimrod is quite smart.
He's A.I. He can adapt to any mutant powers to beat them. Even if he dies, he is rebuilt to fight again. Even Storm might not even be enough to defeat him.
Here's a question - who wins, Darwin with powers active, or Nimrod? Their powers are that they're both capable of adapting to whatever situation or opponent they face. Would it be an endless stalemate? Or would Nimrod generate a countermeasure that just couldn't be adapted to?
It would be a hilarious (and poor writing) way to end the whole, "Machines are going to kill everyone," perpetual threat. Just pit the two against each other and drop them in a dead timeline. Instead of "deus ex machina" it would be "machina removere a deo."
Fall keeps getting better.... But the writers are wildly inconsistent with character's powers & abilities. Nimrod, Magneto, and Juggernaut are all way off.
again it's Apocalypse who is taking care of the "Broken Land" and attempting heal and take care of the land. What was laid down in Ewing X-men Red is becoming more and more important and I think Apocalypse and Magneto both saw that in Storm but Storm HAD to go through a proving of sorts. We will see how this plays out but very clearly Charles at the end of day is a coward and has never really been fit to lead. He left the land "Kraoka" to die while he went and cut a deal. I love Apocalypses and Storms arcs through out all of because it ties directly because the true meaning of the word. "a revelation"
I like the idea of Dominions. Basically if God were real he’d be a junior novice god, and the reason you have multiple universes-dominating gods. Once you understand everything you understand you’re in a comic you understand how “magic” of the matrix works, you can step outside of time and space and become a writer (competing with other gods/writers)
It's less of, "Becoming a writer," and more of, "Becoming a host for a writer," or, more accurately, "Their plot device." Otherwise Deadpool would be a god.
Another example would be Gwen Pool. Not only does she see the comic as an actual thing she exists on, she can manipulate it to some degree by jumping in and out of the "gutter." But that still doesn't mean she can change the story. (She tried this by tossing Doom into the void between panels and he climbed out through some by explaining it away with some Star-Trek-esque techno-babble.)
I don't think Charles was betraying mutantkind, it's that he feels he failed krakoa and only want to save all mutants, but in failing to save mutant paradise, he's grieving and he feels his dream is dead, but that's grief and guilt over sending most of the mutants into limbo! Sadness and guilt can make you react without care and you make rash decisions you normally don't make! Cyclopse see's this as betrayal! If only Rogue could mind meld with Charles and remember that promise she made to him and now he's breaking that promise! She promised to use her abilities to serve the purpose of universal peace and co-existence between all people mutants and humans! She meant this and instead of Cyclopse arguing with Charles, just let Rogue mind meld with him and remember her promise! She wouldn't even want the humans to be destroyed because of her promise to help mutants and humans! This whole thing could be solved just on Rogue giving her word and now she could reignite that memory into Charles, once again inspiring his peaceful dream and saving the day just like she's been doing all along, but those writers aren't thinking like me because they didn't share the same premonition I had in 1981!
Oh yea! Beyond omega level storm lets gooooo. Also rob did you see, Did You Seeeee how storm got her powers back in xmen 97? Omg honestly one of the most epic and powerful animated scenes ive ever seen. It was brilliant, it was beautiful, it was storm in her element and natural state. A true transformation. Amazing.
I found the episode pretty rushed and all over the place. Like, Forge is going to die and we got Storm flying with horses laughing and joking with her powers back. Bit strange considering the stakes.
I was already a cyclops fan but... Cyclops: "I've removed my emergency ruby contacts. which leaves me blind, but I know exactly where you are, and so help me, I'll gut you with a blink of my eyes if you try to hurt anyone else." I got chills.
I don't know, I think everyone deserves to be blamed and can't take responsibility for it, so they pin it on Xavier as the fall guy for everything goingwrong. It's not like there weren't times when any other x men took it upon themselves for the world.
It's so weird, as someone who doesnt keep up with the comics, to see Xavier has morphed into a character with almost inverse morality. Every human dying is not something earlier versions of Charles would have considered acceptable, now he'll happily allow it if the genocidal robot whose programming is based in killing mutants pinky swears to leave Krakoa alone. He isn't just amoral, he's stupid
I think that Magneto is going to come back and kill Prof X. Now that he is balanced for both the dark and the light, he is going to understand why Prof X has been the problem all along and why it can't be fixed as long as Prof X is around.
I enjoyed it. There's a bigger picture to what Charles is doing imo. And wrongslide is technically a different wrongslide from another universe if I'm not mistaken. Aka rockslide. So his demise is more significant because theres a chance the real one can come back. I'm sooo digging hickmans POX/HOX is not being forgotten. I'm pretty sure this is the Omega sentinel from that era.
Proteus, Legion, Nate Grey/X Man 👨, Vulcan 🖖, Rachel Summers and Sun ☀️ spot are some of the most powerful mutants in the marvel universe and basically Omega
Throughout the entirety of “Fall of x”, “fall of the house of x”, “x-men: Red”, etc. Storm has been getting her flowers all over the place. Once again good Comic book writers are showing her love. And letting people know that what they think they may know about Storm they really don’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if they need to come up with a new mutant classification for her. Because she is beyond omega level. Her powers are just as effective in space AND on other planets as they are on earth. She’s highly intelligent, skilled, an amazing fighter and tactician, fast on her feet and versatile, has a shear force of Will that could be compared to that of Wonder Woman. She’s been leveling up all over the place while others have been standing still. She is the alpha and the omega. And with magic in her blood and ancestry there is no telling just how powerful she could actually become. Godhood could be on the board. She’s already an elemental. I would love for her to become, more or less, near universal pantheon of God level. Not that she uses that kind of power. Just that she has it. I mean, look what they did with Ajax. She’s pretty much an eternal/celestial hybrid now. Who knows what could happen next.
i feel like the establishment of dominions goes against what we know of in the mcu. for example- like ultron in what if. i wonder if they will introduce this concept in a similar fashion
He's been doing this since forever. Scott is basically talking about all the times he had family waved away with telepathy-induced amnesia and the first X-men team that died on Krakoa, which Xavier also hand-waved away with telepathy-induced amnesia.
I kind of hope that the mutants in the mcu end up living on groot or at some point groot somehow splits into two through some means, and the groot on earth grows into an island for them. A world tree.
For the first 5 minutes I thought T'Challa was teaming up with Ulyssus Klaue. I thought. "Wow, this is actually pretty cool, no one would have expected this." Kilmonger is cool, too. My tired Brain just didn't register. 😅
I think everyone forgets the machines eventually win over mutants over mankind, Chrales is the only one not forgetting this is not a winnable fight, he knows the Enigma is out there, the Phalanx is on its way alone with Nimrod in the future structuring a future for machines. Scott will do the last stand of mutant kind and push you on a sword to save Jean it's his life focus he does not see the image to come just what he sees in the current struggle. Storm has a good run but in this adventure, she is all in the moment of the battle does not see who else is a threat, I thought she learned in this timeline with her encounter with Thor there are other things that can befall this world and you don't want to pay attention. At that time all she focused on was Genesis, she belittles Thor as if he was in her way and her own struggle was of greater meaning. There was an older ancient god coming to that end Thor needed five minutes of her attention it god smacked her. If the writers don't three sixty on Charles, has real clarity to what's going on to not make the same mistakes that always enslave mutants into extinction, only Wolverine and cable remain somewhere so does Bishiop running for his life. Charles seems to have the better prospective.
@@chrisleaf the films only went with days of future past for time travel stuff; i don't think that was a bad call. most of the animated shows, didn't come out during the time the full story of Hope summers was completed. 90s shows was adapting the Claremont era, evolution was taking it back to teenagers, nor wolverine and the x-men. wolverine and the x-men came out in a time, where the hope summers story wasn't completed yet. now i would agree that there were missed opportunities during the bendis era of x-men - the rosenberg uncanny x-men era with hope summers.

Kind of wondering if Krakoa is a mutant of Groot's species that made it to Earth.
Krakoa is a mutant from the Threshold a society of mutants which existed millions of years ago.
@@asssassyn oh.
I already enjoyed Apocalypse as a villain but the Krakoan era has pushed him the same way Magneto was in AoE. He’s easily my favorite X character now with Sabertooth in his place even though the power scales differently.
Ugh, cliffhanger!
love it, keep up the great content!

So Rob's two favorite things are Black Bolt and Twitter comments
I don’t understand how these recent X-Men comics can have so much filler with so much unanswered and incomplete story to wrap up in a few comics. Disappointing considering how amazing the first half of the Krakoan era was.
Love the Lighting effects from storm
So in another words the sentinels are about to go full Skynet on humanity and will probably blame the mutants if their plans fails which would be really crazy
I never liked the idea of professor Xavier using a machine to track and monitor every mutant's thoughts. And I always wanted to know just how Xavier made his money to fund his schools.
Charles was from a rich family, his father was a nuclear scientist who made a fortune with his research. Bankrolled in part, as we find out much later, by Sinister.
He was poor
I love it when villains or former villains are well written. It’s always been the treatment I wanted for Aizen in Bleach, but Kubo very specifically doesn’t want to give him significant backstory or character. A damn shame and waste of potential
Cyclops is a self righteous fool, he always think he knows best, o wait a mini Charles Xavier, wonder who taught him to behave like this 🤔😂
I knew this would happen. There were so many tell tale signs of Xavier’s descent into a darker path in House/Powers of X
The heel turn we’ve been waiting for.
I don't like this trend of Professor X becoming more and more like Magneto, and Magneto becoming more and more like X. Changing shit around for no real purpose rhyme or reason
Professor X does often show a shadier side to him in the comics.
Depends on the version is also kind of a nerfed Amazo but for mutants but in this era is a adaptation sentinel
So he’s Ultron, but better powers
The added effects are 🔥🔥
Rob, you made me love comics again.
Before I press play I expect Rob to start with *"Man Professor X IS A DXXK..."* That's all I heard when reading the title.
Its (clever writing) a miracle Ultron never met Nimrod!!! "Do you want to play a game?"
I gotta say, im *LOVING* what Marvel has been doing with Storm as a character these past few years 🤩🤩
I swear, whenever I hear those words. "But with that being said guys" I always yell out "NOOOOO" with a fiery passion. Hahaha
Loki God of Stories is a Dominion, as is Kang, or they could be a step below and still bound by stories and plot.
@@ClockworkGearhead you’re right. I think of it as cartoon logic (“because comics”)
10:01 | rob always on the wrong side bruh🤦🏾♂️ like always.
Cyclops: "I've removed my emergency ruby contacts. which leaves me blind, but I know exactly where you are, and so help me, I'll gut you with a blink of my eyes if you try to hurt anyone else."
I got chills.
Wolverine and cyc make suck a good team when they get along.
@@badyoutuber1986 for real though!
I don't know, I think everyone deserves to be blamed and can't take responsibility for it, so they pin it on Xavier as the fall guy for everything goingwrong. It's not like there weren't times when any other x men took it upon themselves for the world.
Full power storm & Magento Vs Nimrod? LET'S GO!!
I've always loved Storm since her introduction. sigh. Charles has always been a sniveling weasel.
Are we finally gonna get an explanation as to why The Librarian looked so much like Xaiver in HOX/POX?
It's so weird, as someone who doesnt keep up with the comics, to see Xavier has morphed into a character with almost inverse morality. Every human dying is not something earlier versions of Charles would have considered acceptable, now he'll happily allow it if the genocidal robot whose programming is based in killing mutants pinky swears to leave Krakoa alone.
He isn't just amoral, he's stupid
Only time ive ever agreed with Professor X. I've never hated apocalypse i think hes vital to the mutant population.
I love all the writing storm is getting
Facts. I wanna see more of her and Magneto too
As much as I love it, I’d like her nerfed slightly and the love that’s been shown to her spread out the X Men a little bit more.
I think that Magneto is going to come back and kill Prof X. Now that he is balanced for both the dark and the light, he is going to understand why Prof X has been the problem all along and why it can't be fixed as long as Prof X is around.
Basically Nimrod is very similar to the AMAZO character from DC. Oooh, that would make an interesting Death Battle!
I got chills reading Storm's last statements
Between this and Xmen 97, Storm has been my favorite
I enjoyed it. There's a bigger picture to what Charles is doing imo. And wrongslide is technically a different wrongslide from another universe if I'm not mistaken. Aka rockslide. So his demise is more significant because theres a chance the real one can come back. I'm sooo digging hickmans POX/HOX is not being forgotten. I'm pretty sure this is the Omega sentinel from that era.
Love your channel. You share the same love for X-men as I do.
Crazy we never got to see a meeting between Ultron and Nimrod🤖
It’s make sense that Xavier had a dark side that SINISTER I guess saw and would attempt to exploit, REMEMBER ONSLAUGHT
i feel like the establishment of dominions goes against what we know of in the mcu. for example- like ultron in what if. i wonder if they will introduce this concept in a similar fashion
Xavier really did that? Sacrifice humans to save mutants? Sounds like something Magneto would do and Xavier would be against it.
Well nimrod wanting to advance is a reference back to the phalanx’s in house of x isn’t it?
Ok, I know Storm's been getting hella powerups but this feat is a bit too wild even for her I feel.
Hold on im a little confused. What was the previous "backroom deal" that scott is talking about? Where hes "choosing who lives and dies"
He's been doing this since forever. Scott is basically talking about all the times he had family waved away with telepathy-induced amnesia and the first X-men team that died on Krakoa, which Xavier also hand-waved away with telepathy-induced amnesia.
The X-Men writers never disappoint with Storm
Wait! Wasn't Rockslide the guy that didn't resurrect correctly at the beginning of 'X of Swords'?
@Send.an.sms.to.claims8 Nice try scammer
Storm's so dope now. ⚡ 🌧️
Also Prof X casually murdering ppl. 😂
*@ComicsExplained:* It will be interesting to see what Captain America thinks about what Xavier did.
I kind of hope that the mutants in the mcu end up living on groot or at some point groot somehow splits into two through some means, and the groot on earth grows into an island for them. A world tree.
For the first 5 minutes I thought T'Challa was teaming up with Ulyssus Klaue. I thought. "Wow, this is actually pretty cool, no one would have expected this."
Kilmonger is cool, too.
Marvel write a good x-men comic challenge: impossible
Hope Summers should be the future of the X-Men.
i mean she was; she was the one to repopulate the mutant kind.
@@johnthai6188 She's not shown in any films, no animated series for Hope Summers and her roles in the comics after AVX are small.
It's not right.
