I always hated that 2nd home of Gabrielle's at 24:19. It was red and ugly. It looked cheap and I hated the staircase too. Her first home was much more "Gabrielle" with all of those crazy fabrics and cheetah blinds.
Wow this was a great episode. Can't remember Alex losing it like this. She did a great job playing psycho. Can't wait to see more. Tina knew darn well Cord could have been coming to get in that shower. Lol
It's awful and fits terribly. Wardrobe was being way too on-the-nose in trying to paint a picture for specific scenes. In this case, put Cassie in whatever sky blue thing they can find on the rack, pull her hair back prim & proper with a big bow for good measure - to depict the conservative good girl. Put Alex in green, the color of envy, tease her hair to evoke Glenn Close's Alex from Fatal Attraction. With a production team largely in transition, there was no vision to adhere to, nor a particular point person to reel anything in creatively.
Alex goes villain to the point of no return and was a great villain for years. Next the plot to try and kill Cassie begins or in the coming episodes. Won't spoil the story if you haven't seen it, but it's on UA-cam if you want to look it up.
This isn't gottlieb/malone yet? They did a great job of keeping alex crazy but not scary murderous obsessed dead serious but funny & had her mob stuff that I have only seen bits & pieces of but it's classic her & Carlo than mortimer. Anyway alex pretending she's pregnant is crazy since she & bo never slept together. If they did I can see her lying but this is silly. I missed some ep. Thank god they ditched kevin & Stephanie. She was so annoying. This kevin was better w/ leeannn , the next kevin was better. Geez thank god for the spring fling story b/c in most opinions that saved the show. It hit no 1 for the climax of the trial plus all those emmys. Seeing cain I roll my eyes b/c they tried so hard to make him the next big man. Tina alex & Angela in 93 all had the hots for him & they trued to make him asas rigjt hand man like Chuck Wilson or Brad vernon . I always thought cain was a gottlieb/malone creation. I guess this is the end of rauch where he had by this time been really burned out & the show & he were parting amicably. Man they trued hard for make akex literally into Glenn close the wild blonde hair the desperate loneliness many know what she does very very soon w/ cassie given its still summer as they filmed in ny & all are in the lake plus joey & kess are in sunny summer clothes. Stephanie is so boring. Why kill off Johnny & send Charlotte off only to bring on thos annoying girl. Theirs a scene I never forgot where she turns vicious on poor leeann saying how pretty she is than rips her up than smugly says " so jealous" of her. Please ! Kevin I think started his little romance. I'd always wished they kept leeann or recast & had her & viki as foes. Esp given she has vikis first grandchild for many years plus some poor Texan, I love viki but every character knew she was a snob. Asa & dorian were the only 2 w/ the guts to constantly call her pompous or snob. Todd loved her but he also took shots at her wealth b4 & after they knew they were related. Watching this time in 91 u can feel the golden era is in severe trouble & I get gottlieb was polarizing but she made many great moves casting etc that really picked things up. I really see how the marty/todd saga saved the show in the 90s. Poor megan is a lost soul w/o jake.

@romanseano I know for certain when it's gottlieb in full control. Jdp returning waa considered a major coop at the time as max. Sadly they had no clue what to do w/ him the next 12 years before they fired him. He was lucky he came on when rauch was still at the top of his game. Max got hooked up w/ the late great andrea evans. He was sent off to Argentina for a great location shoot that s story had actual ramifications for years. He also immediately had brand new fiona as gabs pregnant w/ his child & maria Kate cord Jamie were all great characters ( well Kate was not really liked I hear but a short spoiler for cord/tina the whole tina bringing al back after the waterfalls her having had cj w/o knowing. Anyway max again hit the jackpot when they hooked him up w/ another great new character megan. When max returned all the 3 actresses were gone andy was gone steve gone & they had jdp in a weird quad w/ pregnant leeann teen kevin & jason was added. Then they tried the pairing w/ mia's blair that fans were not in love w/ esp her marrying asa. Then they pushed the whole mystical max luna pairing that always had troubles til the actress left. Malone did write some great stuff w/ gottlieb & co writer josh griffith doing the breakdowns. Only moved from 11th place ( yikes ) to 5th when they did that wonderful heartbreaking story of megans death while Andrew fell for megan but ran off to rescue the very missed jake so megan could see her husband a p.o.w for almost a year again. Very smart they had all the long time vets tells her stories which introduced new fans to the rich history of the show. I also e joyed megan

Charlotte Weil is acting EP, but her job is to keep things afloat and implement any directives given by ABC Daytime. At this point, Cain isn't Cain yet. It's a bit murky where then-head writer Craig Carlson was going with this. Only clear in its intention as a story for Tina. And I'm sure at this point John Loprieno was at least talking about leaving.
Gosh, Tonja was flawless in this storyline. Epic ending and Glenn Close would be proud. Very excited for the next few weeks till Loon Lake!
