Yes like unmusical ones ... Like srsly i respect these guys and their capabilities ...but i cannot appreciate this musicaly incoherent stuff .. it sounds like bunch of sounds ... I just don't like it. Where's the focus on the form
Mr.Jasaw it’s just that you enjoy musicality which is totally okay because yes musicality awesome but you can’t say there’s no form just because YOU don’t comprehend it. If you listen closely you can hear that even though they’re going fast those “bunch of sounds” are working together perfectly in a set rhythm. Changing it then going back to the original rhythm is what’s impressive. I respect your opinion though
This musicality "term" is such nonsense. There's no such thing and never was. What you mean is that u just want to hear a melody. Doesn't mean it's not music if it's not melodic. Even drummers have sheets. Would u call all the drummers not "musical"?
@@SycoxD lol, no you don't respect my opinion ... which is why you patronise me thinking that you, somehow, can hear something that I can't.. while not assuming that your brain is justifying something just to fit in your image of villain. I've been in this for quite some time ...so I'm very confident in my opinion and if I had to I could exactly break it down why I described it the way I did. I will never glorify something which I don't find up to the level ..otherwise it'll give legitimacy to the beatbox "authorities" to artificially push for what/who they want to be popular like they are doing in the wider music industry ..where untalented industry puppets get to be the popular ones and not talented, cus we messed up our quality standards and settle for the rubbish.. when someone's subjective standard becomes the objective one ..
The thing is, u just see something in there when there's nothing. It's like modern art. Why ridiculously simple paintings cost millions of dollars? Villain is talented and and he's a bbx beast. Imo opinion he was free styling here and that's why it was so messy. Somehow you think that you see patterns in his beats and there sure are patterns obviously but the rest is just messy stuff popping up in his head as he goes. That's all that is into it. Don't search for hidden "out of the box" brilliance when there's none. It's all in your head.
Villain has always been one of the more unique beatboxers that I never get tired of hearing. Big up to him.

Ashplume the audio was corrupted and they worked really hard just to get it to where it is now

DahRii they had a lot of battles back about 3 years ago and just seemed to really get into battle mode against each other BUT you can tell they appreciate each other’s beats. There’s a Midwest battle from about 3 years ago and napom dropped an early, less refined version of you can’t roll like this and villain was nodding to the beat whilst you could see the cogs physically turning in his brain thinking “I need to come big next round.” I’ll put a link in the next comment. I honestly don't get Villain's style. It's all over the place. No rhythm or musicality. I have no idea why the judges thought he was better.
I think that u have no idea what rhythm or musicality actually is. You're way too simple to hear the rhythm and you don't understand that absence of melody doesn't make it less musical. True, i think that he was free styling and a bit messy when it comes to switches, but saying that he had no rhythm is honestly bullshit statement.
Music is more than 4/4 with the kick on the 1 and snare on the 3.
