- In today's video, my friends and I go netting in a tiny creek in search for freshwater pufferfish! We ended up catching tons of pufferfish and baby turtles, plecos, crawfish AND MORE! And we also brought back the puffers to put into our backyard pond!

The turtle is a baby Common Musk Turtle. As babies, they have that characteristic snapping turtle type ridge. As they get older, the ridge flattens out, and they look like rounded stones. They stay very small. It is actually quite hard to find babies of this species in the wild.

I think living in Florida is the closest thing to being in a pokemon game, there's so many little wild animals to catch laying around almost everywhere and you just gotta catch em all and there's so much diversity

@@GoodLifeFilmz I tried keeping figure8s in fresh, twice, they both died within a few weeks. Even though they can be found in fresh in the wild, for some reason theyre way more resilient in brackish

the turtle isn't a snapping turtle its actually called sternotheros odoratus, they're small turtles with great personality I love them. they're very easy to keep, I love youuuuuuuuuu

You should put the pufferfish in the micro tank and you should make a brand new enclosure for the turtle and for the baby plecos put them with the other baby plecos

Bobby that isn't a snapper, that's an eastern musk turtle (Stenothernus odoratus) They are very different things. These fellas will stay under a foot long, and are perfect for small ponds/large aquariums. That pond is far from ideal for a turtle (and even less ideal for a puffer.) I love you videos, but please do a bit more research into the fish before you get them. Stress is a slow killer, and you may lose fish much earlier than you anticipate (if you put them in less than ideal setups).

I love pufferfish! Be careful what other fish you put in the pond, those puffers will attack anything. They're called "murder beans" for a very good reason lol. I'd love to see an all puffer pond!
I was about to say more as less the same. Pufferfish are definite fin nippers. They will attack other fish. They will eat snails.

Some Amazon Puffers are fine to have in a community tank. They called the community puffer for that reason.
Idk If I've just gotten lucky or what but I have multiple species of puffers mixed in with other fish that are all not supposed to be together and I have zero problems

the puffer that is different is an amazon or south American puffer. true freshwater puffer. the other 2 look like figure 8 puffers. once they are bigger need brackish water to do well. Figure 8 puffers are aggressive. Amazon puffer can be placed with other fast swimming fish. They will need to eat snails to keep their beaks trimmed.
Surprisingly I have a big tank setup for Amazon puffers and I got some big ones also they aren’t aggressive if you have more then 6 and also I feed them daily ramshorn snails and trumpet snails and pest snails and nothing trims their beaks they just keep growing you have to trim the teeth regardless it’s really a pain to do

Those are pea puffers… not sure what they are doing in Florida but they are very territorial and very mean to any fish other than more pea puffers, they require at least a ten gallon tank for one and add 3 every time you add another. As you can see by my pfp I love them :p
Edit: I would really recommend taking them out of the pond they will tear up the koi fins :/

Thanks for this, I was very skeptical seeing the puffers in the tank with the gouramis. Bobby, if you read this, please heed this guy's advice, pea puffers will stress out your other fish, even if you can't tell. There is no question about it.

@@bengaltiger1667 I HAVE pea puffers and they most certainly do NOT get that big. A pea puffer will only get around one inch long.

the stripped puffer is an amazon puffer the other 2 are figure 8 puffers found in fresh brackish an salt starting in fresh ending in salt through there life...turtle is a yellow eared slider...I enjoy the videos keep up the good work...

The spotted puffers are green spotted puffers born freshwater migrate to brackish then eventually to saltwater, the other puffer that was striped is very very special! The striped puffer is an Amazon puffer. The amazon puffers are awesome in a community

Those puffers the two that look the same are either figure 8s or green spotted they need brackish water. The other one looks like an asselus puffer it’s fully fresh.
