Nearly 4 years later and still hits me like it’s the first time I’m hearing it
Truth
Me to man
7 years later, still an absolute banger
So true
4 years after and you are telling truth
How my algorithm knew I needed this baffles me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️
In my opinion this is the best track Seth ever did. The lyrics run so deep on so many levels. I listen to this about 3 times in a row every morning. Gives me goosebumps ❤️🔥
This and Strange Lot
Both super metaphorical and poetic
So special
"Daddy, when I grow up I want to extort people. "
"Get a real job."
Respect ✊
Is he naming the track after the city where Chernobyl happened because it best describes what his mind is like or due to the isolation for a long while?
I don’t see why it can’t be both but curious what others think?
This album was sooo good. Seth’s slept on. Violin gets me every time.
Lots of love all
Pretty much bro also how the people where told everything was fine and perfectly save when infact it was far worse. Then next min evacuation of the hole place. The people felt abandoned and un cared for. His dad did the same thing but just like the forest taking back the city Seth took back his self worth and reclaimed his life
i pirate the shit outta everything. bought this though.
Amen!
Same with me.
As soon as it started, with the lyrics to Strange Lot, I fell in love with this song, don't understand why it was split into 2 tracks, but I don't give a shit, its fucking incredible!

My favourite song from the album too.. I feel like the first part tells the story of what Pripyat is, part 2 is about when he phases out in to pripyat, the alternate place inside his thoughts.
I may be wrong but I feel that is why it was split into the two parts, you need to know what pripyat is to seth, before knowing what sparks the transition from reality into pripyat, and he wouldn't have been able to condense that in to a song short enough for radio.
I love that Seth is not afraid to experiment with different styles and sounds. So many artists just stick to what they know, where every song sounds the same.
This song deserves a beautiful music video.
man i can relate to this song every now and then i gotta crank this and run the words with seth hes got a grab on life that fits me perfectly
Also, if 3:33 doesn't make you shut your eyes and nod along then you have no soul.
***** WORD.
+Samuel Dillinger bruh i started doing that at 0:00 XD
+Samuel Dillinger thats the moment i got goosebumps haha
6 years on and still hits the goosebumps
Love the images painted thru the words.
When I read the title I wondered what a song about a radioactive ghost town would sound like, yeh I think this covered it.
Its haunting and a perfect phisical representation of a shattered mind scape.
Love the work.
Would be sick to hear you do a track with Hermitude. Just sayin.
John Clark
So much this.
Still one of my favourites December 2021
After watching the Chernobyl nuclear disaster documentary this song has so much more meaning gives me shivers. By far my favourite song In Seths recent album
Favourite seth sentry song. I still remember listening to this on repeat for three hours straight, not bothered to turn the light on, pretending to do homework and sitting in darkness. This song really helped.....
That "Where Was You" reference though.
Jack Thorp He references many of his songs in this one
Jax Hammer A lot of strange lot references. This whole song is about how he becomes more and more disconnected from the real world.
Jack Thorp Also noticed the Ferris wheel in the video, he uses it in "where was you" as well!!
Wandaiyalle Kirkbright Well no, I think they're unrelated. In Pripyat, Seth is talking about the ferris wheel still left standing in the actual Pripyat (www.travazzle.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Pripyat-Ferris-Wheel.jpg).
While in where was you I'm pretty sure that's just a ferris wheel, not an uncommon sight in cities. Could still be a reference to the town Pripyat, a terrible accident has happened in the city that video takes place in and now there is ferris wheel standing amidst the destruction.
+Wandaiyalle Kirkbright also the moon in 1969
This song just hits different right now
I don't even know how to put the feeling I get from this song into words. This was incredible beyond belief.
Still listening this masterpiece
8 years on hits the same as the first time i heard it
The state the world's in, I revisit this tune so much. I've actually started working on a graphic novel which was inspired by a few things, this song being one of them.
"The state the world's in" oh boy do i have some news for you buddy
This song speaks to me on a whole other level.
Omg i love this soing
Love all the references to older songs. Pt. 1 is soooo good.
This is your best song ever!
i agree with u man seth sentry has had so many good songs but none have been reconised
Oh wow, I missed this so much.
this albums hit and miss last albulm every song i could feel, but keep doing your thing, much love.
When you started on Strange Lot it became really easy to feel your evolution. This is beautiful.
I wish I could write whats inside like you did in part 2
this is the first ive heard of the new album that i reckon is worth another listen. too me this has nothing on this was tomorrow, every song when i heard it for the first time i was grinning ear to ear. they are worlds apart.
Ridiculous track 🔥🔥🔥 probably one of my fave Oz hip hop tracks.
This song always takes me so deep inside my own head when I close my eyes and listen to this song
Holy fucking shit Seth, This is without a doubt your dopest track. I loved in the beginning how it has a few lines from Strange Lots, That's my favorite song from you!
5 years.
This songs still my go to when im feeling low.
Killing it
Can you please play like your favorite 15 seconds of this at your Marg River Concert in aug? :'( Would die to hear this live.
Or freo!!
I always, come back to this song when i feel down.
I hope people understand hes actually talking about Call of Duty and the pripyat mission he absolutely nails the references in this song it will forver stay timeless
fug these songs are sooo good. gives a man goose bumps.
Part 2 (1:26) is my night skating song of the month.
This and Strange Lot still my favourite tracks from ya seffa. Poetic and imagery af
This is why I love listening to Seth, learning new things alllllll the time.
I always come back to this. Still relate.
This beat is fire
Such an awesome track! I'm starting to become a fan. Any chance of Seth Sentry coming to The Netherlands?
Hey why isn't this on UA-cam music? You can listen to part 1 and part 2 separate but not together like this.
And the air is still as a Ferris Wheel.
goddamn.
YES! Seth Sentry. Ludicrous.Best tracks by far
I love how in Aussie Hip-Hop we have the 3 main people (of at least that's how I see them) being Seth, Hilltop and BnE
Bliss n Eso sing about drugs, sex and all the other good stuff more than the others do (pigs in the porn trough being a prime example)
Hilltop sings more about family matters and relationships (pyramid building as an example)
Seth sings about current events and the human mind-state (this song or "Where Was You?" being the best example)
I know I'm missing people like 360 and PEZ but I'm just using this 3 for now
+Jack Simsen Tune in that Pale Rider man
+Jack Simsen Bliss N Eso! Fuck yeah man those guys kill it on Walking on Clouds
A very intelligent & interesting statement. Even by discarding other influential & relatable Aussie artists you still acknowledged them. Its a very good feeling knowing other people out there truly appreciate the artists you admire
I admire 60 the most, but enjoy Seth's music the most out of them all, Hilltop's coming in a close second after Seth.
Dad wheres the thundamentals?
Fuck yeah got the new album today. Pumped the whole thing twice in the car the sub-woofer was bangin. Album of the year for sure.
Daniel Lowe haha yeah, G- up
Hell yea, no fucking doubt! This is the best thing I've heard in a very long time!
Your work is priceless Mr Sentry. Amazing lyricist!
Part 1 is my jam
Pure poetry man..
Cool stuff bro, come and play in Munich already!!
I love this song, it reminds me of "The Thirst" by Hilltop Hoods, speaking of which, why haven't you worked with Pressure, Suffa, and Debris, Seth? Make it happen man.
Respectfully,
9-Volt
seth you’re far too underrated it’s sad that you don’t dominate the aus hip hop scene
even now it's still like your new shit came out a week ago.
Never stop Seth ❤
So glad I discovered you such a talent
My favorite song from the album. This is a sort of redo to Strange Lot thought, right?
Ohh yeah Seth come to the states!
still dying to see this man in concert.
awesome lyrics and beat!
Bro i fucking love this album
Pre ordered ages ago loving them all, see ya in Brissy :) xx
Cathy Moore See ya there :)
will be pumping this album in boston in november!
I'm really feeling this! Seth is killing it! Can't wait for my Cd to finally get here!
bloody love this
***** While I have been a long time youtube stalker of your music and said music's progression, I took the leap to purchasing this album. Best $8.99 I've spent in a few years. Thank you sir. Your music, your story, and your masterful grasp of the art of spoken word is truly incredible. Pulled me through many a hopeless nights and happy days.
Forever a fan,
One of your best, Seth
Mad....I love this song. Fuckin love part 1. Best Aussie rapper. Go Mr Sentry.
Holy balls this is good. And I am freaking loving hearing you sing. Ugh. Yes.
Forgetting this song would be a crime.
Tied with campfire for my favorite track.
Take care of your mental health people, don't underestimate it.
This aged like fine wine.
Yeah Seth smooth as usual
8 gone by and still shaven
Genius mate, keep getting better and better
I'm in Pripyat right now. I go there also. I need to find peace. They just won't let me. I'm twisted and tormented. I created this heaven and hell. Let me just escape a while longer and not think about anything at all. Spit.
That was dope bro
This one!
Man.. Such a way with words. I aspire to be a rapper but hear this and think why even try. Anyway props big dawg! Really fuckin' cool music.
I'm loving the aesthetic of these new videos, i'm enjoying the album so far mate but hell boy seems to stick out like a sore thumb in this one, it's also my favourite and i have 90% of the lyrics memorised, keep up the good work man!
I love your music! :D
Thank you Seth :D
Hey, he can sing too. Sorta. :D
Great guest vocal on Pt 2... just a great track generally.
Killing it Seth.
Imagine how hype it would be if the new Cod MW had this song.
I'm wondering if the shattered moon is at all related to the song 1969...
Can hear a bit of El-P circa RTJ flow in a few of the lines
🍻🍁👽
Does anyone else love the autotuned 'traded it for a day dream' ??? Bliss.
ive heard this song tones of times before but i never new you where the one who made it
fucking nice bro your a beast !!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there any way to get just the music from this song? Just so I have the baseline?
just remake it yourself
is that kucka on vocals?
GEELONG BRO
This is some real shit homie~ Keep up the inspiration.
Annoyed that the top comment to this awesome vid is still, at the top, filled with unintelligent ramblings discussing the "main 3" of Oz hip hop.... First off combining these two tracks (my fav off the album) together with the visual backing is just awesome Seth! But addressing my previous annoyance can I get a shout out to the pioneers and current heavyweights of Oz hip hop ; Hilltop Hoods, Downsyde, Drapht, Bias B, , Horrowshow, Dylan Joel, Hunter (RIP), Urthboy, Thundamentals, Philly, Layla, Beckon, Pez, 360(first album only, so fake?), Dialectrix, Muph and Plutonic, the mighty M-Phazes, Mantra, The Herd, BnE, Tomahawk, Solo, Briggs, Tuka... there are soooo many more, just need to search, oz hip hop is the truest and best and shouldn't be so easily defined as they are all individual!
I wanted to comment on that too. I'm loving Horrorshow and Thundamentals, Illy and Tukas solo stuff is amazing. I'm proud of Australian HipHop, the progression took a few years but it's come into its own and we should be proud of all our talented artists not just the ones who get radio play and sell heaps.
GameBattleing the homies on the block
Fuck dude best song out fuck keep up the good work man. 😍
2023
Dopest shit Seth fuckin love it man 👌🤘
