My little Steve Richie contribution: At a pinball con here in CA, I was outside for a smoke break when this chubby, short, grey spiked haird man walks up to me and asks if he could have a cigarette. We yapped about pinball, had a fun little smoke break and headed back inside. My buddy noticed me not making a big deal about the encounter and bewilderly mentions, "DUDE YOU JUST HAD A SMOKE WITH THE BLACK KNIGHT!!!" I had no idea... ;)
Brian Schmidt Thanks a lot! Yeah we went completely nuts with this one, the song really deserved the extra love. After 30 years the work of you, Dan and Steve is still very much alive!
Heard Ed Boon say this was the best Pinball song ever made, possibly best arcade game song of all time. I completely agree, this track will NEVER get old.
Wow, what a trip of nostalgia! Black Knight 2000 is by far my all time favourite pinball machine. And I'm sure the song is a great part of the reason. Such a shame that there is no version of it for Pinball FX. Thank you very much for this great video!!!
This just made my day complete! Amazingly directed and executed! Thank you for doing this...what a tribute to the genius of composers Brian Schmidt, Dan Forden, and Steve Ritchie! They will be so pleased!
Happy to hear! Thanks a lot for the compliments! Yeah I really hope they like it. It was really fun the arrange the track, and shooting the videoclip was teven better in the Museum. :)
Not sure how I got here, typo? misclick? I don't know. But as a long time fan of pinball and good music, my comment would get deleted I told you how awesome I think this was =) Made my day.
I also like that a good proportion of the games in the background are Steve Ritchie games. The fact you used a Yamaha synth to honor the legendary Yamaha FM audio chips used in this game is also a lovely nerdy touch. You really did "get the motorboat to 80 knots" with this version. I can see this being heavily requested as a background music pack for the PinSound board.
I have owned my Black Knight 2000 pinball since around 2001. It remains just as fun to play today as it was for me when I first saw one so many years ago at an arcade. Best music in any pinball ever and you guys killed it with this version!
P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L !! This is the sort of party we all would like to be at just once - and you all just had waaaaaaaaaay toooo much fun with it! I will show this to anyone I know who's ever been near the game and many who have not.! Rock on Sector 8 and Thank you even more to @Brian Schmidt and @Steve Ritchie for the chops that went into this in the first place.
This Soundtrack is just so awesome. Its by far THE best theme any pinball machine ever had. I love rockin the black knight. Thank you for making this awesome video!!!
This video blows me away every time I watch and listen to it. The sheer amount of dedication you've put into the audio, video and editing is unparraleled. Thanks for providing such amazing entertainment.
The music of this pinball game was epic. My mall had it cranked. I loved how it goaded the player into playing "GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!" HAHAH. It was so loud and so rockin' you just couldn't ignore it. It overpowered the arcade.
This is an awesome cover. :) question. Are you guys saying "He's the black knight" or "beat the black knight". That is what I thought the lyrics were in the game.
No. It lacks a lot of what was desired. Dull AF, hardly any dynamic range (plz stop compressing everything to a prerequisite - leave some things to shine). Could have been a lot better. And I reckon you could revisit the recording and do a better job.
@@Sector8 It's just a bit over engineered, the concept was good, great in fact, it's an iconic tune after all! Sorry for being a downer, I do mean well.
@@Neffers_UK It's ok, we understand. It's honest feedback and we value that. I rather have that, then nothing at all, this way we can look at our work from a different perspective and try to improve on it.
@@Sector8 it's great to know that there's peeps out there that don't get all antsy / butthurt over stuff like this. Thanks for being humble instead of drama whores lol. I wish you the best of luck with future productions :) Have a good day to you and all involved.

@@Sector8 Oh yes, we sure had a lot of fun playing this :) Thank you Brian for creating it !
I hope Steve Ritchie gets to see it.
Brian, can I just say how amazingly endearing it is that you pop up on all these postings of your incredible music and comment? ♥
Rewatching this and realizing it's already been 5 years since we shot it !
Such great memories :)
Time has past so fast, Can't bellieve its has already been that long. Was an amazing shoot!

I have long held the opinion that Black Knight 2000 has the best music of any pinball game ever. Now I know for sure.
Black Knight 2000 and TX-Sector are the top tier pinball music scores.
Though not to say it's better, I highly recommend you check out the Devil Crash theme

One of the greatest pieces of music ever written for a game
Just picked up a Black knight 2000 last week. Theme music is stuck in my head.
It's a really addictive soundtrack :)
This needs a million views

Suddenly felt like rewatching this badass video 😎
Glad you still like it! 😊
Absolute rendition. Cheers from Quebec.
The filming of this video is outstanding, alongside the great music.
Can’t believe this video exists. So happy it does though. Quality content right here

Damn you guys put a lot of efforts in this video, fantastic work!
Ofc music production is spot on too :D Really well done!
Thanks a lot! its a lot of fun doing a big production :D
This video is perfect! The music, the chorus and the pinball scene! Very good job! 🤘
Gezien de credits zijn jullie medelanders. Bedankt. Door dit soort video’s wordt 2020 weer een stukje draaglijker. Chapeau.
Dankjewel! Ben blij dat te horen! :)

Increible !!!!

Awesome stuff! Great tribute to a classic pinball game!
THANK YOU for playing the lead on a synth and not guitar. as gods Brian Schmit and Dan Forden intended.
My dad used to have this pinball machine, back when I was a kid in the 90's. This is just absolutely great to hear now. Epicly performed
Thanks a lot man! Yeah the music is very iconic :D
Awesome seeing Marc! This turned out great!
Levi Bechtold thanks dude! Always fun creating stuff with Marc! :)
Awesome.. had no idea you could rock so much with a French horn!
There are so many things you can do with a french horn ^^
Very epic
Thank go I'm not he only one that thinks this rocks.
Was praying for. R A N S O M …. Everything is lit, friends.
Geweldig!
3:07 Whoever "Sam Badass" is, he really dominated The Hobbit! :-D
KGB Mockba isn't doing that bad either.
Awesome!
Awesome cover !!!
Still my favorite pinball game of all time! Well done on this cover like whoa!
Well done! You make my day!
Loved it! my only complaint is with "give me your money" sounded more liked "give me your monay!"
Epic!!!!
Franco Iturraspe thanks man! 😃
Love this. My only two cents would be to increase the volume of the choir. :)
i like this !! video is well cool
THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING.
This is pretty cool :D
psycosulu thanks, :)
Should have let the bass shine in at the bass part instead of doubling the part with the guitar
This has a Weezer vibe to it, and that is 400% a good thing.
This is an awesome cover. :) question. Are you guys saying "He's the black knight" or "beat the black knight". That is what I thought the lyrics were in the game.
Edward D'Arcangelo He’s the Black Knight....
Artistic Freedom (-;
@@PinballmuseumNL fair enough:) love the saxophone btw
@@Pickle-Larry Saxophone player Jordy De Lat is also the mastermind behind all this ! He rocks 😎
Haha, Yeah, we are saying "He's the Black Knight". Let's say it was a design choice ;)
@@Sector8 Too bad "You've got the might!" was changed into "You've got the mice!" kinda ruined the song with the lyrics. Still a great video & cover
That was amazing!!! I love it better than the version of the sword of vengeance!!!
Esto es increíble, solo quiero tocar heavy para hacer está canción. Las más lindas de todas los pinballs
G I V E M E Y O U R M O N E Y
People bet on Black Knight 2000 games?! How can I get in on this action?
This is awesome but it would have been even better if you had the sound clip saying "STAND UP AND FIGHT!"
😮
Give Me Your Money :D
Great and awesome!!! Please add R-A-N-S-O-M theme!!
