Hi Angela😊, thanks to you, I been using this product since I watched this video a few years back. Love this brand, so now I bought the WEIMAN for glass cooktops, and for stainless Steel. For all other cleaning I use Mrs. Meyers, this is the only product that has remove grease from the kitchen cupboards. ( you recommended this product in another video. Thank you so much for all your help😊
When we bought our house it had granite and corts counters. I'm just learning how to take care of the good stuff never had this expensive stuff before. Angela I will let u know how Weiman works for me.thanks!
Hi Angela, very detailed review. I wish you could address this: right on the directions it says: "NON-FOOD CONTACT SURFACE SANITIZING: Pre-clean heavily soiled surfaces. Apply product to hard, non-porous surfaces". Makes no sense to me. Non-food contact surface... non-porous!? Wouldn't that automatically leave out kitchen granite countertops since they come in contact with food and granite is porous?
I know right? Super confusing instructions. Think cutting boards for the food contact surface. You won't be cutting raw meat on a surface used with granite cleaner & polish. And most granite counters in homes have been sealed so while they are porous the sealant will keep the polish from seeping into the cracks and fissures of the stone. If you are not sure if you have sealed granite, drop a teaspoon of water on granite, if it sits there for a minute your counter is sealed. If it seeps into the stone it's not sealed. Thanks for your question and thanks for reading the label instructions. You just made my day. :-)
@@AskAngelaBrown thank you. I just had my granite countertops installed and will seal them this weekend. Then and only then will I use this product on a regular basis.
If your shower is granite or marble yes. The key with stone showers is to use acid-free cleaners and clean them often and squeegee them down to avoid water spotting.
Tell me more about your floors. Where are the natural stone floors (restaurant, kitchen, bathroom, patio, entrance, spa) and what kind of foot traffic (or organic load, water, soap scum, food, etc.) is on the floors.
Weiman is an excellent product. I use the one for stainless steel refrigerator and stove, and the cream they have for glass cooktops, also use it for the glass part of the microwave. My appliances look as if they had just arrived from the store! And they are already 5 years old! Absolutely beautiful. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT Product 👏👏👏👏👏👏 So water is not good for granite? I always have water and soap over the counter when I wash dishes. You know, I soap the dishes and put them over the counter for a little bit until I finish and than put them back in the sink to be rinsed. Thank you for the tip to use protectors under toasters and instan pot. I have the product you’re using in the video, will try it tomorrow. Thank you Angela!!🌷🌷
Hello, first and foremost, THANK YOU!! I just bought a home 2 months ago, & it has granite. I LOVE IT!! However no one has educated me on how to care for it. Each time I clean and wipe off my counter tops they are still GRITTY! 😩😩 no matter how many times I wipe it down. How do I get rid of the GRIT?? Will this product do the trick? Also how do I maintain it on a daily basis? Please HELP!! I don’t want to ruin my counter tops. Thanks Deanna 😉
Hi Deanna, I don't know why it's gritty. Is the countertop sealed? If it isn't, that may explain the grit. To maintain it, a damp microfiber cloth will do the trick.
Hi Angela, THANK YOU!! For your reply!! So what I’m use to doing is using bleach in my dish water & when I clean my granite counter tops I use my dish towel to wipe down! Should I NOT use bleach in my water now?
Black Diamond Stoneworks has a limestone and travertine stone wash that's really good for natural stone amzn.to/32UiqJ1 it's pH neutral and biodegradable.
I typically use a gentle granite cleaner or mild soap and water. Avoid using acidic or abrasive cleaners to protect the granite surface. Happy cleaning!😊
Thank you so much for the advice Usually i use just soap and water and after that just wipe it with clean towel But I will definitely try the weiman quartz cleaner And yes it is Cambria quartz ,and very expensive one and that is why i wanted to make sure that whatever i use is not going to damage it Thank you very much again ☺️🙏
JoAnn, Did the stone warehouse or countertop installers (fabricator) tell you this? If they suggested sealing the counter then you probably should follow their recommendations. Reach out to them for more details including what sealer to use.
I tried this product but the instructions say you must rinse the surface for food contact. I saw on your video you cleaned the kitchen table and counters. Don't you consider these as food contact surfaces?
No. A cutting board would be. I don't prep food on a granite countertop. The items used for food that sit on the countertop are on plates, in bowls etc.
Angela, thank you for the videos. I have a very important question I'm sure many women would also like advice on. In the past two months or so, one of my female employees has been sexually harassed during estimates. Is there a way to prevent this? Steps you would take after it happens? ANY other advice. Thanks so much.
@@AskAngelaBrown Thanks Angela. Both estimates were from well known national online lead generation companies, khakis and a polo (loose fit), etc. They tend to make comments first, I told her to say "thanks for the compliment but I'm here to provide you with an estimate for house cleaning and I need you to not make further comments like that." They were both a certain "type" of male, she is young and has tattoos, maybe that's a sign to them? Maybe she wears longer sleeves? Anyway, thanks again. You can compare the safety data sheets to see the similarities or differences in the product. I don't know the chemical composition off the top of my head to compare both products. They are both good products though. Fun Fact: When Covid-19 arrived, they changed this product to include a sanitization version that kills 99.99% germs and bacteria.
If they are scuff marks you can remove them with a tennis ball or a wet magic eraser. And if they are scratches, depending on the color of the planks you may be able to use the Guardsman repair markers, amzn.to/3brudnS In either case, use your tool of choice on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it is agreeable with the surface in question.
Hi Angela, we recently bought a house and are now doing the renovation. The house has a granite kitchen countertop and we replaced the bathroom wall tiles with marble. As you can imagine, all these surfaces will be quite messy and dusty post-renovation. I am wondering what steps I should take sequentially. I am thinking about 1. basic cleaning with just water; 2. applying stone sealer; 3. deep clean and polish with weiman cleaner and polish. Any suggestions? Thank you so much.
An inexperienced cleaner used acid to clean the terrazzo marble floor. We managed to stop it half way through. There are now streaks on the terrazzo marble floor. Can this be rectified ? Thanks.
😱😱😱 I don't know because I don't know what was used and the scope of the damage. My best suggestion is to call a flooring company and have a chemical specialist do a zoom walkthrough with you where you use your phone or tablet and show them the actual damage and have them recommend a solution. I am so sorry this happened to you.
Here is the newest version of it with a coronavirus disinfectant built in weiman.com/daily-granite-cleaner-polish-spray. No ammonia is listed on the SDS sheet and the pH is 8.2
Does the Weiman leave streaks? I get those all the time after cleaning and it drives me crazy. I wipe and wipe and wipe but no success. My granite is Uba Tuba, very dark so it shows every streak.
I understand your frustration! I've found that Weiman granite cleaner usually does a good job in preventing streaks if I apply it sparingly and use a microfiber cloth in a circular motion. It might be worth giving it a try on a small area to see if it works well with your specific granite type.
I bought the same identical product and at the back it says .......... Apply this product to hard, non-porous, non-food contact surfaces ...... I bought it for my bathroom granite. But, in your video you are using it in your kitchen on surfaces that may came into contact with food. I'm sure you are using it correctly. But, I'm wondering .... Weiman is a USA company and I'm in the UK, legislation is different and standards are different.
Thank you for your question! I suggest rinsing the countertop after using any cleaning product, including the Weiman cleaner. This way, you'll make sure there's no cleaning residue before preparing food on the countertop
Does this polish build up on the surface? Like furniture polish tends to do. Also, how do you get water spots and build up from the faucet handles and not get the acid cleaner on the granite. I struggle with that. I saw to use a razor blade to scrape the water deposit build up from the granite, but can't do that on the metal faucets. If I put a cleaner on the faucet handles, near the granite, how can I not get that on the granite. I find granite counter tops to be a pain to deal with.

When granite stains what has happened is that liquid has seeped into the stone. Removing that from the cracks and fissures is nearly impossible. The best method moving forward is to seal the granite so other spills (wine, grease, carrot juice, blueberry juice, orange juice, etc.) don't do any more damage. Can I use Dawn PowerWash to clean granite & quartz?
It's best to avoid using Dawn PowerWash on these surfaces because it can strip away the protective sealant
