I am from Bethesda originally. I saw the video about the history of Rockville Pike. At one point, Rockville Pike was re-named Wisconsin Avenue from D.C. into Bethesda before becoming Rockville Pike. The highway number was U.S. 240, later to become Md. 355. When did these changes take place?
I’m sorry, but being a resident of Twinbrook since 1971… the library was still underneath the shopping center on the opposite side of where the library was built in 1976!
Carl Sandburg School looks just like the former Congressional Shool in Rockville (now the Ring House stands in its place) Who was the architectural firm?
Wow this used to be such a wholesome neighborhood.
Great place to grow up wouldn’t live there for free today

It still is, I've lived or had family in Twinbrook for 69 years, I still think it is a great place to raise children and have a family.❤
