This video doesn't even feel like a performance, just a couple guys jamming. That's what I've always loved about both The Refreshments and the Peacemakers
Really? LOVE Banditos (even play it with my buddies in a cover band) and the KOTH theme, but honestly, I'm not sure I've ever listened to the album. What's another good song? I have some money in my iTunes account.
@@gablesguitars can confirm this is one of the best albums to come out of the 90’s. Great top to bottom. I’m jealous that you can hear it from beginning to the end for the first time. Please do enjoy it and have yourself a wonderful life!!
I didn't know this band but from the King of the Hill theme, and listening to them now has led me to realize they're so much more than that. Rock on you guys!
Very underrated. I heard this song for the first time in 96 I believe. It was such a great song I loved it the first time I heard it. Bought the album, amazing all the way through. I'm hoping to go to Atlanta when they come there.
This is a great song , great band, great version the only thing that is missing is the deep tom tom drum grove from the chorus.... I always like how that made the song sound.
Bad news: the name "The Refreshments" had to go. Good news: Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers have now been together than the original lineup, and put out more albums.
This is what happens when you give musical instruments to a group of people who don't give a sh*t about computers....amen great job! This is so underrated. My favorite version 😎👍💯
He may be referring to Steve Larson, who was one of the original guitarists for the Peacemakers and always wore a cowboy hat. Great lineup! Steve from "Dead Hot Workshop", Scotty Johnson from the "Gin Blossoms", and Danny White!
Actually, only Roger and P.H. were in the Refreshments. The Peacemakers band was formed in 1998. Read the story here. It appears to be accurate from what I know of the band. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Clyne_and_the_Peacemakers
This band is criminally underrated.
Patrick Martin for real, Alice Coopers club shut down, time for some refreshments
That's what happens when you give the finger to Big Label.
Underrated ? LMFAO compared to who?
Roger Clyne's voice is remarkable. These guys deserve a lot more credit than they have earned.
Every once in a while I look up Roger Clyne/Refreshments/Peacemakers just to remind myself that's there's excellent talent and great music out there.
One of the best bands most people have never heard of. Let's help change that....Arriba!
Wow, never thought this song would have sounded good acoustically. These guys were awesome and way underrated!

Hands down one of the best albums ever.

totally agree! the whole album is full of rippers!
@@SelfEvident Woah, I did not. Thanks for the reminder! There's a few things I need to get back around to. Going to start with this one.
I didn't know this band but from the King of the Hill theme, and listening to them now has led me to realize they're so much more than that. Rock on you guys!
I'm old, but I love this Tempe (Az) band, what great sound!!
I like the tone of this guys voice.. Great sound..Yeah, I love it.. They are underrated. I never heard of them..
great versions.. still sounds amazing
One of my absolute all time favorite bands (Refreshments - Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers)
love this killer version. it rocks but emphasizes all the light heartedness of the lyrics
I had completely forgotten about this song until a binge of TNG reminded me of the chorus.
This is the song that got me started on them. I love this band!
This is a great performance! Reminds me of the long ago days of the Yucca Tap Room. Thanks Roger and P.H. for all the memories!
Those were the days! Were you at the Green Room for "Reel to Reel"?
@@GirlWithAnOpinion I remember seeing Authority Zero and MPX at the Green Room back in probably ‘02 or ‘03. Good times.
That was awesome!!!
Great cut, I've had the Big and Bouncey since before 2000 and love every dang song.
Bought it on a whim. Still listening today
Dont you mean Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy
Absolute awesomeness
Used to run rides for a carnival, in Montana the Memenites were singing to Roger Clyne's songs that I was playing on the speakers!!!
Fantastic! Thanks for the great music

Arizona not Atlanta!!
have not heard this in a while great job Jessie!!!!
Rog & P.H Naffah [drummer] were BOTH in the Refreshments who recorded the song. Roger, of course, was the main song-writer, as still...
Jim Dalton is absolute sick! But. Love all the guys! Top band. Roger is definitely second to none and that’s just a fact!
DAMN I miss these dude's!!!
This is a great song , great band, great version the only thing that is missing is the deep tom tom drum grove from the chorus.... I always like how that made the song sound.
this song kicks ass.
got to love the king of the hill rif at the end.
AZ budski I hate it. because it is sick
I tell you what!
@@bunkyman8097 Dammit, Bobby!
This ain't no cover, brother. This is a Roger Clyne original...
They gad to change names because of another band called the "Refreshments"
Wow I like the songs better live, that's rare 💜 props.
Always loved this great song
So, no more The Refreshments?

and WRITER!!
Is that the same guitarist who used to wear those cowboy hats?
Jim wears cowboy hats, but he is not the original Refreshments guitarist. That would have been Brian Blush.
He may be referring to Steve Larson, who was one of the original guitarists for the Peacemakers and always wore a cowboy hat. Great lineup! Steve from "Dead Hot Workshop", Scotty Johnson from the "Gin Blossoms", and Danny White!
Niice
Yep Roger was the lead singer for the Refreshments.
I've loved this song since the very first time I heard it.

Awesome! Could use more cowbell tho.
22 dislikes TF ? Ya'll have no soul
Second part needs more triangles. Just the right amount of yahoos, though.
I sell propane and propane accessories
that seems fair
That's a fine band ill tell you what heh heh
