So in CoD WW II you can upgrade your M1 Garand in to a M14

Winchester made prototype Detachable Magazine Garands in 1944, which is what it was based off of.

@ROENS no it isn't, the M1A1 carbine shoots .30 carbine, whereas this magazine fed M1 Garand shoots .30-06 Springfield.
I heard that soldiers in WW2 called M1Garand "The finger breaker". Is it true?
Thompson: doesn't pull the bolt back on the empty reload
M1 Garand: pushes the bolt forward when it slides forward automatically
Lee Enfield: has 10 round magazine, only loads 5
All sniper rifles: loaded with a stripper clip through the scope when in reality the scope would obstruct the clip meaning the rounds have to be inserted individually as seen in even ps2 cod games.
Type 100: Japanese weapon in Europe for some reason.
Thomson is actually an open bolt weapon so, it doesn't need that.
Everything else is true though.
Actually the garand is pretty realistic since the bolt does get stuck up a lot during actual combat
The only thing they got wrong about the Thompson is that it says it's an M1928 but actually it's an M1A1
CoDmaster 7000 The only thing that would actually justify that would be if it was captured off of a Russian but still
@@Awesomenessgaminglebrony the M1A1 also couldn't accept a drum mag or a suppresser even still on the earlier models the bolt hold open didn't work with the drum mag and to top it all off the drum mag holds 45 instead of 50.
15:05 I remember never giving the M1 Garand the extended mag cause I wanted to hear the ping
I still remember the stories my Grandpa (rest his soul) told me of the time he stormed the beaches of Normandy with an automatic shotgun with extended mags and incendiary shells.
He used to show me the SS badge he took from a black, female, transgender SS officer.
Don't forget the black female transgender ss officer is also jewish :]
Games made by Sledgehammer in a nutshell (look at Advance Warfare for example)
20:42 - The brazilian soldiers from the Brazilian Expeditionary Force used to call the MG 42 "Lurdinha", after the name of a soldier´s girlfriend. The rate of fire was too high, and they compared the sound to a laugh, so they used to say: "Lurdinha is laughing"
*Gun Sins of COD WWII*
*1.* The M1911A1’s 20- round magazine only holds half.
*2.* The Machine Pistol is not an authentic M712 Schnellfeuer due to the lack of a fire selecter.
*3.* The nearly empty reload on the M1897 or Combat Shotgun would make the player lose a shell.
*4.* The M1918 Walther tubular shotgun or the “Toggle Action” never accepted detachable magazines.
*5.* Suppressors could never be as easy to be mounted on the M3A1, since it requires for the whole barrel assembly to be swapped out.
*6.* Suppressors at the time were never that easy to mount.
*7.* Every SMG erroneously accepts the TM 31-round drum magazine (a magazine unique to the MP18) when Extended Mags is selected.
*8.* The “M1928”is not really an M1928 but an M1A1, made obvious by its smooth barrel, lack of compensator, and charging handle being relocated to the right side of the weapon. Also, the M1A1 cannot accept drum magazines.
*9.* The PPSh-41 has an early version of iron sights, not a typical sight in WWII. Pun intended
*10.* The PPSh-41 has the magwell of a PPS-43, although Extended Mags fixes this issue by removing it entirely.
*11.* The Waffe 28 or MP28/II, has an obscene fire rate of 1000, 500 more than its real-life counterpart.
*12.* The M1941 Johnson MG’s standard magazine is way too small in appearance. Extended Mags fixes this issue but incorrectly holds 37 rounds instead of 25.
*13.* The M1941 Johnson MG could never accept a bayonet since it lacked a bayonet lug.
*14.* The M1918A2 BAR’s charging handle has to be manually charged forward to chamber a round.
*15.* The M1918A2 BAR cannot accept bayonets.
*16.* The FG42 in real life could only accept a spike bayonet, not the sword bayonet portrayed in game.
*17.* The M1 Garand’s charging handle should automatically go forward when inserting the en-bloc clip.
*18.* The M1 Carbine is still wrongly labeled as the M1A1 Carbine, a post war model.
*19.* The M1 Carbine was never issued with hooded sights.
*20.* The adjustable rear sight found on the M1 Carbine is anachronistic since it was only found on post war models.
*21.* The charging handle incorrectly locks back on the M1 Carbine.
*22.* Oddly enough, the Lewis gun is an outdated WWI aerial model, which did see combat in WWII, but with the British Home Guard.
*23.* The Bren MKII’s firerate is 200 RPM slower than its real life’s counterpart.
*24.* The MG15’s standard magazine is missing the other half. Extended Mags fixes this issue.
*25.* When reloading the MG15, the character incorrectly operates the magazine locking lever.
*26.* The MG42 has an absurdly slow fire rate. Probably done for balancing.
*27.* The Karabin or Kbsp wz.38M’s magazine is non detachable.
*28.* The reload animations for the scoped sniper rifles are beyond fucking lazy.
*29.* How can one 5-round stripper clip replenish a 10-round internal magazine of a SMLE No.4 MK I?
*30.* The extended mag option modeled on all available sniper rifles are non detachable.
*31.* The player doesn’t not use the rear sights when aiming the Panzerschreck
*32.* The British No. 69 Grenade is incorrectly depicted as a flash bang while the real life one behaved as a normal lethal grenade.
PIRATE -The Thompsons charging handle never gets pulled back on the empty reload
-The Type 100 is a Japanese weapon being used in Europe for some reason
-Sniper rifles load with a stripper clip when in reality the scope would prevent this meaning the rounds have to be inserted individually, something even the oldest CoDs got right.
-Half of these guns were barely used at all in the war
-Kar98k had hooded sights
-While in WaW only submachine guns could have extended mags, here even snipers from the early 1900s get extended mags
Eh, what more can you expect from the creators of Infinite Warfare?
Did the M1Garand ever have a detachable magazine variant or did accept detachable magazines?
Neil Hardie Thompson is a open bolt and the bolt never close when the bullets run out

Benji yes I'm aware, it was a re-design of the 10 year old garand. Just with an actual box magazine and a revamped action
3:31 Wait 44 Magnum?
Dont you mean the double barreled shotgun (M30 Luftwaffe Drilling)
The Thompson model used makes so sense. The in-game model is the m1a1 Thompson and couldn't use the m1928 fifty round drums.
patrick Sassaman yeah but people will complain that the game doesn’t have attachments but then complain about how it isn’t realistic enough I mean come on the practically put the m 14 in the game and that wasn’t made till after the war
Evil Gopher m1 grande with extended mag that’s pretty much the m14 at this point
Lol, All they had to do was actually model the M1928, because it did actually see use in WW2. That's what Medal of Honor did.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that, despite a big ol scope in the way, the bolt action rifles are still loaded with stripper clips?
How about how the hammer on the colt pistols never moves, or that the empty shot gun shell doesn’t leave the barrel before a new one is put in....
The STG44 reload looks suspiciously like the AK reload from MW1-2
It's actually a copy paste of advanced warfares stg reload animation
because the stg44 is literally a german ak, infact it’s basically the dad of the ak as it inspired it.
Except the charging handle is on the left side
But judging by the design they both look very similar and produced 3 years apart
No one mentions that the reload animation for the stg 44 originally came from the MW 2007 mp44....
@@frazza5503 actually mikhail kalashnikov had a lot more insperation from the M1 Garand

The Machine Pistol could be an automatic modified version of the C96 pistol.
The C96 had a full auto variant (I think it was the C96 Schnellfeuer, sorry if I wrote the name wrong)
The M-1 Garand Extended mag looks like a M-14
@Velasquez Lance Christopher I think you got them mixed up. The M14 was meant to replace the M1 as a select fire rifle.
looks like M1-A man they were experimented by Winchester. Another lesson from Forgotten Weapons by Ian.
The real Lewis gun had a 97 round pan magazine instead of a modified MG15 magazine. The Bren gun did have a 100 round drum that you don't get to see a lot of. Look up forgotten weapons video on the Bren drum if you want to see what it looks like.
Wow Polish rifle "Wz. 38M" named simply "Karabin" which in Polish means "rifle". Well done Sledgehammer...
They named the mosin "3 line rifle"
Guess they're really afraid of copyright
Funny I’m watching him shoot the karabin right now as I read this comment
There's actual tons of detail in these reload animations! I'm having a blast watching them. They've made the guns feel so weighty. One thing i noticed, the Garand's "ping" noise silences as soon as the new magazine of bullets touches the part of the gun that's vibrating. (dunno what it's called) thought that was a nice touch indeed :))))
When you look carefuly at the Mauser Karabiner 98 Kurz, you can see how the bolt when pulled back is much thicker than when in forward position XD
M1928 with an M1A1 body... Yeah I can see they did their research...
I see they also did lots of research on the MG42. Absolutely nailed the fire rate
The gun model doesn't even need that much fixing. Remove the blowback mechanism bolt on the right side of the gun and put a Blish lock bolt on top. Put a Cutts Compensator on the barrel. Add a few details to the stock to make it look removable. And what do you get? An M1928A1 Thompson. And hey, it works with the drum mag too. : >
the 44.magnum Looks like a Shotgun
It's actually the M30 Luftwaffe drilling, which could hold two 12g shotgun shells and a 9.3×74mmR cartridge underneath (the gun was mainly used by Luftwaffe pilots)
*M30 Luftwaffe Drilling
It was an error, the correct name shows up a bit after that.
.44 magnum is the round, there is no such thing as a gun called ".44 magnum"
Welcome to unsatisfying reloads instead of the usual satisfying reloads
The firerites went down drastically.
The mg42 shoots more like a cauchat than an actual mg42
the mg42 fires like a mg34, the chauchat shot around 230 rounds per minute, just over twice as fast as a semi automatic rifles average fire rate
They have to sacrifice some accurate stuffs for the sake of balancing the multiplayer
😴These videos gets me sleepy and its not because these videos are boring NO,is because maybe gunshots are very relaxed to me😴
I know I'm 5 months late but, the trench gun looks so slim, the one from WaW and bf1 look and sound beefy, ww2's looks like a starving African
The Pie different holding positions. BF1 has most of the guns shoved in your face and WaW is the same sort of deal. View on them is just closer so they look larger.
Most guns in this game are held farther away from the character's face.
The Pie I dislike the fact you made fun of hungry Africa ( especially since I am one SA)
All I love about COD are reload animations and gun details. They look so great.
Some of the guns sound like air soft toys, but man. The clicks and clacks of their internals is always a nice addition to CoD
That constant breathing really makes me uncomfortable...
Yes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Seriously though, I cant think of any game where you can hear your character's constant breathing at all times. The closest thing I can think of is Metro 2033/Last light when you're wearing a gas mask, but it makes sense in that case because you have a limited amount of air when you're wearing one. I don't even know why this guy is breathing so loud. He's literally just standing in one spot and shooting a gun, yet hes breathing like he just ran the fucking mile. Is he obese? I'm starting to worry about this guys physical health.
I only ever noticed Ethan's breathing during intense situations (being chased, fighting, running for extended periods of time etc). All this guy is doing is standing in one spot. He's not fighting, sprinting, or being shot at. He's just standing in one spot and shooting a gun. I'm all for immersion, but the constant loud breathing is just distracting to me. It doesn't ruin the game or anything, its just kinda odd.
zeubersandvitch
I agree. It's just as if you were to add blinking to a game. Humans already do it and react themselves, so there is no need for the game to do it.
zeubersandvitch yes but he's in the war, might not be anyone else there, but probably from the running and stuff
Po8 with drum mag holds about 12 rounds -_- cod logic
I shot one myself a long time ago which held over 42 rounds, was a 22. calibre though

The M3 with a charging handle just makes me cringe. All the Submachine guns sound exactly the same, minus the MP28. ramming the charging handle forward on the M1 garand is wrong (and i didn't know we had the M14 in 1944). the MG42 sounds like every other gun and the rate of fire is the same as the BAR. the 1919 is about half the rate of fire its supposed to be. sniper rifles being fed with stripper clips though a scope, and a Moltov cocktail with a cork in the bottle. Really? I mean i appreciate the game and what it's trying to do, but it's been like 10 years since WAW, and they managed to mess up weapons they have already created right. come on guys
Jacob ._. Not really. They were both made by Activision and both WaW and WWII should both share similar weapon design and details, although they were made by different dev teams.
BuhLakeh Ontop of that, the M1919 Browning doesn’t even exist in MP.
There's different ways to make Molotov cocktails, you know. All that matters is that the fluid inside is ignited
Now after almost 5 years,i can say that WW2 was definitely better than Vanguard

Yeah. Don't you know COD is a well known historical source for weapons? Just look at that MG42 fire rate :D

I don't like these gun sounds, all of them pop when they should boom.
ive fired thousands of rounds in my life and he's right. They make a deafened popping noise when they should have more of an echoing effec to them. Instead they sound like you just threw a baseball into a sack of flour.
Fotoken a boom would be much closer to real life then the sounds you're getting now. Sounds are much better in battlefield. The sounds here should really echo. Instead it just sounds like you dug the barrel into the dirt. It's extremely evident in the D Day level

Joshwist55 I know. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a bf game with the guns listed here, and BF4s weapon arsenal. TOO MANY GUNS
“We did the research to make this as accurate as we can” the devs said or something like that, the attachment aren’t realistic the sounds are off, the fire rate of some guns are off, and the weapons featured were used in different areas not where the campaign took place
It's incredible how almost no ww2 videogame mention the Panzerfaust! It was a really good anti tank gun, it was even the best in my opinion.
Tyrannis Metum Not really, the Panzerfaust was awful, very little range and highly inaccurate, the only thing it was good for was hitting close targets and as a last ditch AT weapon
the panzerfaust was a very good weapon for what it was; a single shot anti tank weapon designed for mass production and issued to regular soldiers without relying specialized bazooka/launcher units to take out armor
The Panzerfaust was there. The Panzerfaust was used.
The Panzerfaust Killed About 50 to 60 Tanks in the entire war...
Sad, I know
at 01:48 it's a Mauser M712 Schnellfeurer actually.. it's the Full auto version of the M711 (C96 Mauser)
also at 04:37 it's a Winchester M1897 or M97 Trench Gun.
Hell, that's a big .44
8:34 Look how they massacred my boy..
the p08 extended mag. is actually called p08 artillerie or artillery luger and it holds 32 rounds
What happened to the firerate of the mg42?
The Legion Is Yudistira No sledgehammer logic my friend treyarch got them right.
xX_GamExperience_Xx 69 Too slow for my taste. Seriously, how could they fucked it up?
Jakob Fricke Its literally not that hard to get the fire rate correct while making the gun balanced. World at War was able to do it, Bad Company 2 was able to do it (granted it was an MG3 but nearly the same thing).

The semi-automatic shotgun is really called "Toggle Action"?From my knowledge of weapons that seems to be a Browning Auto-5 semi-automatic shotgun. The first of the kind.It had box magazines like that one,but they were a bit rare.
Okay why the hell does the MG42 shoot slow as fuck?
Trevor Leach Because reasons we can't possibly comprehend.
The Hopeful Idiot that was a shotgun?
William Richendollar Yes.
