So if you think about the evolution in gameplay from Risk to Axis and Allies, an equal jump in gameplay is going from Axis and Allies to Global War 1936. It's 3-sided instead of 2-sided, starts in 1936 so you can build up your forces just the way you want, has better tech, better objectives, better game mechanics.

In v4.2, Radar only grants a +1 to the defending convoy line. It is no longer +2. So you took 3 IPP off the British on the West African Line.

Global War 1936 by Historical Board Games, very fun but very expensive.
