i completely relate to feelings of disconnect to art. it happens to me every couple of weeks and i just accept it's going to happen. i try not to put any pressure on myself but if i want to draw i'll doodle or draw someone else. if it turns out bad, it's practice. if it turns out good, they're flattered! also i'm starting to recognise that with every 'crisis' i usually learn something new afterwards and my art improves.
I really resonate with what you're saying about feeling disconnected with your art as time goes on, I feel this often but I try to see it now as a sign of growth as an artist and I def think your art grows and improves all the time 🌸 Also hearing that you're watching parks and rec made my day I love that show so much ❤
I love these kinds of vlogs. I'm obsessed with watching people organize aesthetic stuff... Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you put into your vids!!
This is so cute! 😍I've found your channel recently and I love how calm and chill your videos are! About hitting a wall and not feeling so confident or identifiying with your art I think it really helps taking a little break, going for a walk (if possible) and watching content that inspires you (movies, vlogs, etc.). It's definitely important to be able to identify mistakes or things to improve but It's equally important to not be too harsh on yourself! We're always learning and improving ^^ Even though I don't sell art at the moment, one thing I've always heard and that made total sense to me is that you should make artworks that you personally like and enjoy doing and people that like that will eventually come around and want to buy your stuff! I think it's important to have confidence in yourself and your abilites. If people have to wait a little more for new stickers and shop content I personally feel everyone will understand that you need more time to create something you actually feel proud of and want to share. It's very brave of you to recognize that and it's really good to put it out there because I'm sure many people feel the same and can Identify with what you're feeling ^^ Inspiration will come! 😄 If you don't mind me asking, do you like that round corner cutter? I've been looking around for one that can take heavy paper like watercolor paper. I don't know If you ever tried yours on that but does it work nicely?
Wow it happens to me all the time. I start a lot of illustrations and then look at them and hate them but come back a fee weeks/months later and most of the time I get excited to work on them and most of the time they end up super cute! Also I have the same problem with my art style when I come across or compare myself to artists I find much better. But in the end it helps my art evolve. 😉
I feel the same every single month and every single week. I start a new illustration and then, in the middle of the process I dont feel comfortable with the result. I am illustrator since five years ago and I think feeling complitly good with your work is not possible because, if you are a creative person, you can see so many posibilities that your drawing or your proyect can be. The most important think is don´t stop. Continue creating and doing that you most enjoy !
There is a quote I heard along time ago. “You imagine art that you will have the skill to do in 5 years.” I have that problem with constantly imagining this amazing work of art but my skills are to lacking now to be able to create it ALL THE TIME!!!
your new plant friend is beautiful! also the way you organized your cart is so smart c: i took a note and started hanging stuff of the sides as well! thanks for the inspo
I completely relate to that feeling where you feel like your skill level isn't reaching the expectations in your head of what you're trying to draw. Two weeks ago it was eating me up so I took a 1-2 day break of drawing and came back and got back into the groove of things! That voice is literally in my head 24/7 but I try not to let it dominate or else I'll continue being too anxious of drawing something I hate :{ just have to trust the process! Also in our eyes your art is AMAZING and we love it so much so don't be too hard on yourself
I really feel the looking back at your art and disliking it thing, I've been really trying to work on just letting myself do art rather than worrying about it being technically perfect and that seems to be helping a little
be patient with yourself, allow yourself to go through these processes because it’s part of both making art and being human. forgive yourself and move forward 🍃 trust me, it’s going to be okay 🌞
hi paloma! i had a few questions about stickers 😌 so uhm since i’m a terrible listener, when i was watching your video on how to make stickers i didn’t understand how the printing and stuff worked. after you make your stickers on procreate and export them and stuff and add them to cricut, what do you do? i think i sorta understand, like you have to print from you ipad, but like how do you add them to a sticker sheet and make them sticky?? i’m gonna go rewatch the video and try to understand, but it would be great if you replied! :)
Hi! I’m not Paloma but ima try to help you out. So she doesn’t print them from her iPad. She draws them on procreate then she uploads them to the Design Space software that comes with the Cricut. On Design Space is where you arrange the sheet how you want it to look then you send it to your printer. When you print from design space it has a black border that tells your cricut where to cut. So then you go back to Design Space and tell the Cricut machine to cut it. Hope that helped! If you have more questions there are a lot of great videos on how to make stickers using procreate and a cricut to make stickers.
I know how it feels to not like your art and to not be happy for what you have made but it happens to me and I’m here for you.i know it hard I’m with you but what I am understanding from this is not everyone is perfect and it takes practice to like something.all you need to know is your putting hard work into this and practice gets payed off really well and I love all your creations just know that it happens and not everyone can get what they hope for. And know not everyone is perfect.snd never givenup🌟💕🙃
Your art style is literally so adorable 🧡✨ I can relate to your artist block, it’s the reason why I stopped drawing :(where platform did you watch studio ghibli movies on? Theyre not on Netflix!
If I may ask what filter do you use in your videos! I love it and I’ve seen other you tubers who use this kind of filter and I’m not sure if it’s all the same but I really like it! I want to start my own channel and getting inspirations ☺️
hey! I hope this isn't weird to ask but I was wondering what manufacturer you use for your key chains... I've been looking into making some of my own :P
that cart is awesome!! now i want one to store my stationery bc i think i’ll be running out of desk space soon...maybe i should stop buying so much stationery but i just can’t, it makes me happy. 😭 also, i love those thank you cards you’re cutting at the end, so cute! ❤️🍓
It’s been years for me and I still don’t have an art style the only thing I know I love to make is detailed flowers but, with watercolor/sketching ... still haven’t found my style in general. Hopefully at some point I do :) quick question what e-commerce do you recommend getting for square space? I am trying to research what possible platform I can use to sell items .... I know a lot of people also choose Etsy ... so still looking around.
Oh forgot to mentioned there’s another artist on YT that sells her B class items (don’t remember what she called them but, basically items that don’t 100% come out how you want them) she says people still buy them and not gonna I would too hahaha
Hi Paloma, I loved your channel, I wish you a lot of success in everything you are achieving, I have two questions, do you speak Spanish? And what model is your printer?
we honestly NEED to get a podcast by paloma!

I love your stickers, I'm glad you went with animal crossing that's your style rather then exactly like Nintendo's style.
I love these kinds of vlogs. I'm obsessed with watching people organize aesthetic stuff... Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you put into your vids!!
I just started binge-watching your vlogs, and I feel that not-good-enough feeling all the time. You will always be good enough, so keep making art!

I love the cart idea! carts are so versatile! unfortunately i have kiddos so the cart wouldn't work for my office, but i LOVE the idea.
