I love this. If I may make a tiny suggestion, would you consider adding more percussion parts? The beginning sounds a little empty and I was thinking some subtle sus. cymbal might be able to fill in the gaps a little. Some mallet percussion might provide some support to the flutes and oboes. I was thinking bells, but xylophone could be nice. They'd really be nice on the fourth bar of page three, having somebody doing those quarter notes on bells would be heavenly. Maybe having a part doing 16ths on the crescendo on page 3 would be nice, but not at all necessary. Probably another job of a mallet percussionist, though. Not at all necessary adaptations, I love it as it is! I'm not a professional by any means, but I thought you might appreciate some feedback. Cheers!
Just wanna say that im still a newbie... Being a good conducter, composer and arranger is one of my big dreams - so please feel free to tell me what i can do better and things i may have to stop doing and things i may have to START doing.. Appreciate the love :)
I love this sm! It's so good. I think one thing you can add is more percussion parts, like pit instruments (ex: timpani, marimba, xylophone, etc) and auxiliary! Keep up the good work, you have a great chance of becoming a composer, arranger, and conductor!
i dont know what to call in musical terms but I REALLY LOVE the first part before the drum came in. i feel sad listening to it. i love both but i dont know what instruments are those during opening and 0:29. i just i dont know i really love it. AND THE FLUTE AFTER THE DRUM CAME IN THEYRE SO BEAUTIFUL
@@bastida7615 There's almost no instance in which a 3rd and 4th bassoon part are utilized. 2nd and 3rd clarinet should generally stay beneath the 1st clarinet range wise (Same comment for 1st and 2nd Alto sax). Not a fan of writing the Eb clarinet part for modern music, it's rare that you find an ensemble that would play this that also has an Eb clarinet player. (Also since it's doubled in the tenor sax and horn for the most part anyway) I like the woodwind runs at 32, maybe try experimenting with some lines going down to the next root of the chord for the low brass stuff to make it a little more interesting. Whole notes get the job done, but it can be more interesting if for instance, you take the first bar of make the C in the tuba part 3 beats, and on 4, include a G as a walk down to the F, or maybe walk in from beneath the F? Just as something to make the support have life when there isn't much going on. No need to write octaves for the Bass Cl and B Sax, they'll pick the lower option every time. Overall I quite like it, but there's just some tweaks you can make to improve it for generally playability and interest.
I believe at 2:12 there is a tiny mistake... mb
