    Just a quick question, if we're driving on a road with yellow marked lines and there's parked up cars on the left side, are we able to indicate to pass the yellow line slightly to pass the parked cars, and indicate back?

      If you have to overtake parked vehicle on the left, then you may cross (only as much as necessary) the yellow lines to pass the parked cars. You would indicate, and check your mirrors and blindspots before you do.

    Hi. Was wondering if we're allowed a blind spot mirror attached to our side mirrors during restricted test?

    Just wondering with stop signs, are you required to stop at/before the line, or can you stop after the yellow line?
    For example, if I stop at the line, however can not get a good view of oncoming traffic can I inch forward till I get a better view? And if so, am I required to stop again, or is the stop done prior to inching forward count towards stopping at the stop sign?

      I just went for my restricted, I stopped before the line and inched forward abit because I couldn't see around the curb so should be fine

      Great question. @Laysharne’s answer below is correct and I too would recommend slowing to stop before the stop line and then inch forward if you can not see clearly. You mustn’t however stop too far forward past the stop line so that you obstruct conflicting traffic :)

    Bro, can I use my own car to do my restricted license driving test?
    And um am I allow to have someone with me like (wife/husband) in the car while I am doing my restricted license driving test?

      Yes to both. You must provide the vehicle for the actual driving test and you are allowed to have a support person to join you during the test. You just need to let the testing officer know.

    Hi, my restricted test has suddenly been rescheduled a month from now, so I am hoping to make a booking at Pukekohe instead. For someone who is unfamiliar with that route, and has not done open country road driving, is this feasible?

      @SocialDrivingAcademy  Рік тому +1

      Hi @keiramulgrew3269, I wouldn’t be worried so much about not knowing the route but you would definitely want to have experienced driving in a wide range of experiences including open road, particularly there, before attempting the test. I’d recommend also a mock test with an instructor.

    Are we allowed to use reversing cameras in our restricted test?

    • @SocialDrivingAcademy
      @SocialDrivingAcademy  Рік тому +1

      Hi @Bbeeccca884, yes so long as you aren’t solely relying on your camera. Remember to keep checking the blind spots , use your mirrors and keep a watch of the front as well.
