Awesome technology which when combined with a skilled operator makes the task of creating grades to a specific slope easy. Again, we use the video in our Heavy Equipment Operators' course to demonstrate to students how the technology works. Cheers Rick
one hell of an operator, just don't forget to maintain the tools that feed you. Hate hearing the dry pins on such a new machine - like nails on a chalkboard.
Nice grading with the excavator! I post a video of the type I use. It has an indicator that lets you know if the arm is straight up and down or not. The in cab remote allow me to mount the reciever anywhere.
haha thanks man! I do hardscaping... paver patios, walkways, driveways, walls, steps. Head over to my facebook page (link in description), I post photos of completed projects and that's the best place to request videos. So if you want to see something specific let me know!
Nice video I have a topcon as well only u mount mine on a pole fixed to the boom Wouldn't want to b without it as iv used it for foundations, drainage an even leveling a sports pitch
Great video! I wish that when I'm running a skidsteer, we had one of the grade control systems... Would make things so much easier rather than using the float all the time.
good day i would like to invest on a laser level that can do slope for draining and also take levels for lot i would like to purchase a boom mount receiver for my excavator can i get any assistance on what should i buy and a link to amazon please.
What are you using for a laser level? also what is the model of that remote? I just bought a topcon rl-h4c i am wondering if i can get a remove that will stick to the boom
I have that same laser and receiver and have used it with very good results grading with it on cat d5 but haven't had super accurate results using it on excavator or 580m. How do you make sure that your boom, stick, and bucket orrentation stay consistent with your positioning at benchmark? I tried doing that a few times but after being 1 or two inches off on a 1% sloped swell i went back to story pole.
Its all about what it looks like to you in the cab and keeping it constant. It took me a while to really master it. Keep trying it when you can, maybe on not a such precise project.
@@DirtNinja what model of a laser is this? I’m trying to find something easy to work with that will also do slopes… too many choices out there and I’m new to this
I would say yes, own a Spectra and as I work alone a good share of the time it saves me a lot of climbing on and off. Really a great system for cutting a long grade in to lay culvert, rock, etc. for drainage.

+Rick August Very cool. Thanks for watching!
@@DirtNinja the receiver is not on the boom

wow. i have never seen someone operate with so much control!! great work!!

You are a perfect leveler on the excavator
The lasers make things a lot easier now, saves time on landscapre labourers with the rakes and goon spoons.
Have you found a good inclinometer type level to mount in the cab to make sure your house/undercarriage is level?
Nice dirt ninja . Quick question can u use any tips of laser on your excavator?
Nicely done. Like the alice in chains on the radio. Good station.
thats so aewsome chris

No i have never had it move at all. The magnet is very strong.

Do you Still use this or only the GPS equipment you have now?
Do you think those topcon receivers would work with spectra lasers?
@Landscapeguy16 Were building a small retaining wall
Thanks man I appreciate it!

Hey Ninja..whats the model of receiver? Thanks
@SotaEngineering Thanks!
NIce make work easy we do the same thing just without the TopCon attached to the boom.
That's so cool! Can I have one of these for Christmas?
what is going on over in the back round?
BobcatNinja2124 why do you always work with closed window ?
I dont. I have it open sometimes. But I have heat and A/C in this machine so I usually keep the windows closed
BobcatNinja2124
takeuchi tb016 in my cabin is quieter when everything is closed, the bobcat is like?

@hammerdwn20 haha, or me. Now I don't have to get out! It just broke 300 today actually
Hi
I'm thinking about buying a receiver like this for my mini excavator.
Do you still use this much... is it worth it.
Cheers
Matthew Sorensen Use it on every job. Well worth the money. I dont think the receiver was more than $500.
+Dirt Ninja is that the same set up used on the cat mini?
+Dylan Chalmers No not at all

How much for this exact laser setup
@2001yz250rider1 haha, thanks!
@TjMerrigan11 Thanks!
Sounds like you need to grease
@awesome12345ish Nice!
