sobriety has always been cool, its just media and entertainment that made it otherwise uncool.

@Jake24 exactly. But one of the reasons I also got sober, the first being cuz my daughter was born, but also bcuz I couldn't stand bein around idiots who couldn't handle their drugs and started acting like a complete mental patient haha
Stevo did beat some serious odds. It's a miracle that he had the support system around him to guide him towards the right path. Can't imagine how hard it was from him to get where he is right now. Respect 💯 If you're in a place he once was, know that there's always a way out. If Stevo can, you definitely can. 🙌

@@jackwalls7474 point being that having money helps in getting the support you need to get clean. Rehab isn't cheap. Counselling and therapy isn't cheap.

Steve-O's drug addiction story is the gnarliest of them all, in my opinion. The insanely bizarre and dillusional drugs of choice - and quantities and mixtures of them... not to mention his very *approach* to abuse, was pretty insane. He's had lucky stepping stones all along the way, and it's a miracle he managed to land on each of them along the way. That's one in a million. Do yourself a favour and read his biography, it's riddled with stories like this. And just leaves you in shock and awe. And reverence.

well he's lucky he didn't get deeply into opiates or I doubt he'd be the sober guy he is today, or would at the least be on suboxone/buprenorphine, etc. And plus, nothing is 'gnarlier' than the horrific effects of withdrawals from opiates, benzos, and even 'gaba-related' drugs like pregabalin. There's a world of difference.

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband.He is 59& has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE& a TBI that left him in a coma for 8 days

Psilocybin is an ancient and powerful medicine. It is amusing that “modern” medicine is only now trying to understand what Indigenous people have know for a millennia.
Psychedelic therapy is just one of those great leaps in the mental health space. It’s wonderful and the fact they serve recreational use and health as well. Can’t say I don’t trip once in a while.

Breaking through on DMT was the craziest experience I’ve ever had. Truly an astonishing 15 minutes.
SteveO is literally the king himself of overcoming overwhelming drug addiction and he actually listened to the advise that was given. Very powerful transformation, he's a cool dude man 🤟🏿🤟🏿
I don't know if people really understand what an inspiration Steve-O is. To see him reborn from the pile of ashes he once was is incredible! Thank you so much for surviving through the long dark tunnel and sharing your road to and along recovery with everyone.
Psilocybin containing mushrooms save my life. The drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit
One of the uses of psychedelics is administering psilocybin to cancer patients, it allowed them to confron their mortality, remove fear and anxiety and to die with peace and equanimity. What a gift this is.

I just recently met Steve o at my job at goodwill and I’m still so hype that I got to meet him, he was so sweet in person let me keep his change and let me take a selfie with him 😭😭❤️
I've done acid 3 or 4 times now and everytime was quite different from the last. I think everyone should try LSD at least once in their lives it's the most relaxing and self exploring thing you can do. It made me understand what's important to me, when I started having my 1st bad trip the 2nd time I used it, all I wanted to do was hear my GFs voice I legit thought she was in major danger, ditched my mates and started rushing home because all I could think was she was in danger. Then I got home and hugged her for like 10 mins asking if she was ok while all the writing on the books spines on the bookshelfs where dancing behind her lol

It’s believed that it’s better to do it when fearless but I’ve committed to it in some of the hardest times of my life and walked out clear minded. Never had a bad trip, but that’s just me.

Ive had a similar life and lost over 40 close friends, at one point i was afraid to make new ones because they always died,
but now im sober for 15 months and are looking forward to healthy relationships, Steve-O is a huge inspiration.
@ 3:00 I had this after being taken in by EMTs for mushrooms. I saw a Dr walking outside my room through the door but the entire hospital was on an walkway like at a airport he was just walking in place while the hospital was moving around him. Like how the Planet Express ship beats light speed by moving the entire universe instead of actually traveling it self.

Its probably my favorite hes super genuine with his guests and he has some pretty awesome guests on the podcast
Definitely know what he’s talking about when he says he has a spiritual entity watch over him, I was on five hits of acid one night and coke and molly and I felt like I was going to die, I couldn’t breathe and all of a sudden I felt a Devine angelic force or energy come into my room, like I could just feel it, it was undeniable that it was heaven sent to help me get through that night and see some things in my life in a different perspective. Definitely an enlightening experience I’ll always remember. Even my electronics were going on and off in my room by them selves and my dog was tripping out too lol
The one time I did coke and molly I thought I was gonna die I can’t even imagine acid in the mix geez. Sounds pretty dark hope you’re in a better place now. Cool bit about the angel I totally believe it
I'd def wigged out for a sec on dmt and my dog could feel it 100% after a few minutes which felt like forever I got thru and laughed it off. I guess all I'm saying is your dog is highly attuned to you, way more than you realize. Love your pups people :)

From what I know about occultism, that was probably your own spiritual higher self; it can act as a guardian angel if karmically allowed. I don't think we have any clear idea how often (or not) that immortal part of us intervenes to get us out of a jam.

Stevie ain't lying when he said he beat some serious odds. I lived a parallel life to steve and every single one of my friends I grew up with are dead or in prison. Every. Single. One.
Sober now for close to a decade and I realize how blessed I am. My higher power is Jesus.
Lucas: I have had plenty, and I mean plenty of people I know who did a lot of drugs die from them. And some went to prison, too. And drugs caused me some very serious health problems decades after I had stopped using them that I barely survived. I mean straight up seriously I could have died many times. I also got to save a friend's life when he overdosed on my floor. But I could not save them all.
That jesus is a helluva drug
