Lovely. Cafe Liegeois is a favorite. It all looked delicious. I made a Cafe Liegeois as the final dessert for an afternoon tea and it was a huge hit. I used Baileys Irish Cream flavor ice cream as it was near Christmas. Simple but different for my friends and so good. I love Paris and have been fortunate to have many trips and a few longer term stays. I enjoyed this video. Thank you.

All of the food at this place looked fabulous, especially the duck and the generous serving of potatoes! I have wanted to eat at this restaurant for years and somehow have never made it there on my visits. This video has absolutely moved it to the top of my list next time. Went there one night with a group of Charley Girls (dancers at the Casino de Paris; I was one of the chorus boys) after the show in 1963. Les Halles was still the late-night central market spot for all of Paris at the time. A very uniquely Parisian experience.

When I married in the early 80, this was the first place where I dinner with my wife , not only because I used to live very close to this place , but also because this used to be a pretty cheap place compared to the majoity of restaurants in Paris. My brother and I where not economically very healthy in the 60, when we lived in Paris and we used to come to Au pied the cochon and ask for “ Les temptations de Saint Antoine” for the simple reason that you dont need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. I dont know if the plate still exists , but I can assure you that it was a kind of monstruous plate that hardly can be eaten . This , and a couple of beeres and you were done for the day. Good old times, thank you for the video, I jumped almost 60 years back in my life.

I first dined at "au pied de cochon" in 1974. At the time the go to dishes were the "Soupe a l'onion gratinee" and the pigs trotters (Pied de Cochon). I still remember how good they both were!

Those little pig meringues were so cute! My town is known for it’s barbecued and smoked pork. There are statues of pigs everywhere, decorated appropriate to the shop they stand in front of. One is painted with peppermint stripes and is in front of the candy shop. One with wig and long robes standing on back legs by a law office, etc. I just saw the Christmas tree in the center of town has 3 pigs in Victorian clothes singing Christmas carols. Ha. The duck with potatoes looked delicious and I’m happy to see desserts are back. That coffee cream concoction!!! Oh my, how decadent!🥰😍

Some 30 yrs ago I introduced my now husband to the restaurant on his first visit to Paris and, jet-lagged, we'd checked into our hotel and slept from mid-day 'til nearly midnight. Awakening hungry, I suggested we go out to eat - he thought it would be impossible to find a place - I said I thought I knew just the place. We had a wonderful meal after standing in queue for a table. Years later, we moved to Paris and made a tradition of Christmas Eve shopping for copper kitchen cookware at Dehillerin, steps away from Au Pied du Cochon, and then moving on to the restaurant for oysters and pigs feet and/or Cassoulet

In 1870 a renovation will see the construction of modern iron halls (for 1870 ). They were demolished in 1970 to make way for the Forum des Halles, when the market was moved to Rungis in 1969. The catering establishments around like "le pied de cochon", serving the staff of the market and their delivery men, had the same rhythm as the market (24/24). as for the name of the street (coquilère ~"shells") it refers to the fact that on this side was placed the market for fish and seafood

今回のブラッスリーは豚肉料理推しで、室内の至る所が🐷模様でした。
料理はとてもボリューミーで完食するころにはお腹がはちきれそうでしたよ。
予想していたので前菜は省略したのですが、なぜかデザートは欲しくなるという…😂
赤いじゅうたんの階段のあるアパート、これならエレベーターなくてもこの階段を上り下りする生活自体が素敵だなぁって思いました🎵

今回のレストランは24時間営業だと知らなかったんですよ、パリにもあるなんて驚きました。
私たちが退店する時にその時間から入店するお客さんも多数いましたよ！
店内の装飾がさりげなく？🐷模様だったりして、それが本格的であり洒落っ気もありで素敵でしたね。
料理も親しみのあるものでありつつ美味しくてさすがでした。

約10年前、19歳の頃、専門学校の研修旅行でパリへ行った時にピエドコションへ行った記憶が蘇ってきました。あの日に食べたオニオングラタンスープの香ばしく濃厚な味、拙いフランス語で『トイレはどこですか?』とサーヴィスの方に聞いたら3人揃ってあっち！と指をさして教えてくださったこと、今でも忘れません…(笑)いつも動画を拝見させて頂いております、ありがとうございます。これからもフランスの素敵な景色、文化、お食事を楽しみにしております。

メレンゲは可愛いサプライズでした💗しっかり食べましたけど😁
モエルーショコラは溶けたアイスやソースに埋もれていてどこ？状態でしたね😄
アミガサダケのソースは見た感じ濃そうですが、甘みよりも塩味がして良い意味でそんなに濃厚過ぎず食べ進められましたよ。
教会の鐘の音っていいですよね、鳴ってるとつい足を止めて聞き入ってしまいますよね。

前回、パリ観光はどの季節が良いか、お尋ねし春夏が良いとの返事を頂いたお礼の返信メールもせず失礼しました。今回24時間営業のレストランの紹介、びっくりしました。パリに24時間営業のレストラン（豚の足）があるんですね。オープニングのバック音楽（クリスマス？）はちょっと切なかったです。食事のバック音楽（ジャズ）はいつものように素晴らしい。カモ肉のコンフィはヨダレがでました。デザート（マスカルポーネ＆ショコラ、ババロア？）もパリはいつも豪華で食べたいです。豚のメレンゲ菓子はおしゃれで可愛いですね。日本は新たなコロナ変異株「オミクロン株」が世界で発生した為、今日から約一か月、世界からの入国禁止となりました。いつパリに行けるのやら（愚痴）。なお、おまけ映像でジャックレモンさんのUFO揺らすは楽しかったです。

マスカルポーネってあまりクセがないので実際に食べてみても「これか！」とはっきりわからなかったんですけどね😆
日本への入国が禁止となり、私たちはかれこれ二年半日本へ行けてません😭
そうそう、しばいぬゲンさんが夫の事をジャックレモンさんをイメージしているとコメントして下さっていたのを夫に伝えたら「イメージダウンになるから絶対顔出しは出来ないな」と申しておりました😂

Went there one night with a group of Charley Girls (dancers at the Casino de Paris; I was one of the chorus boys) after the show in 1963. Les Halles was still the late-night central market spot for all of Paris at the time. A very uniquely Parisian experience.

このデザートはお店のオリジナルかどうかはわからないんですが、こちらで初めていただきました。
アッフォガードみたいな感じでしたね。お腹いっぱいでも冷たくてカフェの苦味がアイスの甘さを抑えてあり、あっという間に完食してしまうぐらい美味しかったです💗

そういえば私が日本からこちらへ移住して驚いた事を思い出しました。
日本はいろんな国のものが簡単に手に入ったのでフランスへ来たらイギリス、イタリア、ドイツのものも日本で買うより安くて入手しやすいと思っていたのです。
ところが、想像以上に近隣国の商品がなかった事！
こんなに生クリームの種類が置いてあるのに、クロテッドクリームはないし
イギリスの紅茶も専門店に行かなければスーパーにはあまり置いてませんでした。
マスカルポーネは今はスーパーでたいてい販売されてますが後藤さんがお過ごしだった頃は珍しかったのですね。
When I married in the early 80, this was the first place where I dinner with my wife , not only because I used to live very close to this place , but also because this used to be a pretty cheap place compared to the majoity of restaurants in Paris.
My brother and I where not economically very healthy in the 60, when we lived in Paris and we used to come to Au pied the cochon and ask for “ Les temptations de Saint Antoine” for the simple reason that you dont need to eat anything else for the rest of the day.
I dont know if the plate still exists , but I can assure you that it was a kind of monstruous plate that hardly can be eaten .
This , and a couple of beeres and you were done for the day.

I first dined at "au pied de cochon" in 1974. At the time the go to dishes were the "Soupe a l'onion gratinee" and the pigs trotters (Pied de Cochon). I still remember how good they both were!

We missed having an onion soup but the dishes are copious and we had to choose between the starter or the dessert... I'm a gourmet so I went for the dessert.😀

Those little pig meringues were so cute! My town is known for it’s barbecued and smoked pork. There are statues of pigs everywhere, decorated appropriate to the shop they stand in front of. One is painted with peppermint stripes and is in front of the candy shop. One with wig and long robes standing on back legs by a law office, etc. I just saw the Christmas tree in the center of town has 3 pigs in Victorian clothes singing Christmas carols. Ha. The duck with potatoes looked delicious and I’m happy to see desserts are back. That coffee cream concoction!!! Oh my, how decadent!🥰😍

Some 30 yrs ago I introduced my now husband to the restaurant on his first visit to Paris and, jet-lagged, we'd checked into our hotel and slept from mid-day 'til nearly midnight. Awakening hungry, I suggested we go out to eat - he thought it would be impossible to find a place - I said I thought I knew just the place. We had a wonderful meal after standing in queue for a table. Years later, we moved to Paris and made a tradition of Christmas Eve shopping for copper kitchen cookware at Dehillerin, steps away from Au Pied du Cochon, and then moving on to the restaurant for oysters and pigs feet and/or Cassoulet
