Nice video Jen!!! I live in WV and the humidity is no joke. I’ve travelled to many places and the humidity is what makes the heat so suffocating and hard to bear! Glad to see the kiddos running and thriving despite that.

I’m from Jackson,MS! I most definitely recommend the children’s museum for an activity and Brent’s Drugstore for lunch! It’s a cute 50’s diner with old fashioned hamburgers and shakes!
I just went to the Silos with my best friend in September 2018. It was my first actual vacation without my husband and children and it was lovely. My favorite BBQ joint is in the my husband's town of less than 1,000 people. I forgot what it is called but it is a must every time we visit Cross Plains, TX.

We used to love in Texas! Roscoes in burelson was really good! While we never made it we heard great things about Hard 8! As far as chains went, Rudy’s and Sugar Creek were other good ones!

I was so excited to see you in Shreveport! I’m from Louisiana about an hour away from there. If you drive through Shreveport again on your way back, SciPort is a great experience for kids. it’s a science museum off the river and is so much fun! I’ve gone so many times as a kid always have an amazing time.

We visited Texas from Australia and we loved The Saltlick BBQ, yum!!
100 degree weather here in Texas is pretty typical this time of year, and with the humidity it makes it feel worse! Sweet tea is a must! A local bbq joint is your best bet, but Rudys is always a good alternative if your not sure where else to go.
