Idk why ppl say this could be LBJ’s last year. Absolutely no shot. Why would he leave $52.627M on the table? He’s at least playing one more year. And it’s really gonna be like $54.1M, since the cap will go up 10%…35% of the cap is $54.126M. I guess it’s possible he just opts in to save them some $ and make sure he keeps his NTC. Went on stupid tangent here, Cliffnotes at bottom lol Or if LAL would give him another year, maybe he’d opt out and take x$ less if it gave them more flexibility in return for another year of $. Without LBJ, they’ll have 10 guys and $129.36M. Vincent will be on an expiring, so he’d be way easier to move if they wanted to. The tax threshold is $187.897M, 1st apron is $195.946M. So they’re $66.585M under the 1A w/o LBJ. His PO is 52.627M. If he took like $45M and they gave him a second year (with a PO) at the max 8% raise…that’s $48.6M in Y2. He’d prolly end up opting out of that and taking the max assuming their roster is in place, it should be, bc by taking less he’s giving them a ton of flexibility to make moves. $21.585M under the 1A with LBJ and 10 others. So they need at least 3 more guys. They’d have the $ to use the full MLE or close. It’ll be around $14.1M. Let’s say they use $13M of the MLE. So they’d have 12 guys and they’d be $8.585M under 1A. The BAE is $5.135M. So they could use $5M of that, then sign a minimum guy. They’d still be $1.385M under the 1st apron or so and have 14 guys. So even if LeBron only took a few mill less, let’s say 48,080,000 that way his deal is 2/100 with a player option. 4.5M less or so, but guarantees himself another 52M. They’d be 18,505,000 under with LBJ and 10 others, so need 3 more. Minimum is around 2.3M for a veteran, or if they sign a 2nd round pick or UDFA, it’s 1.273M. They do have a 2nd so I could see that. So if they sign a vet they’re 13.905M and if they sign a rookie min they’re 14.932M under with 12 guys. Let’s say they use it on a rookie and have the 14.932M. At that point it’s tough to use MLE & BAE. They could use like 11M of the MLE, then a vet min for 2.3M. That’d put them 1.632M under 1A with 14 guys. With an 11M MLE, they could offer 1/11, 2/22.55, 3/34.65, or 4/47.3M. Thats still a ton, they might only need to use like 9-10M of it tbh. If they didn’t wanna hard cap themselves at 1A, they could use the 5.685M TMLE, then sign two vet mins, and even offer 1+1 vet mins. If they went that route, they’d be 8.2-8.3M under the 1st apron and not hard capped at it either. If they offered a 1+1 min to one guy, still 7M or so under. AD LBJ Rui Reaves Vando Vincent Christie JHS Knecht Max Lewis Bronny MLE 2nd round pick Veteran minimum Then assuming they don’t use any 1sts this season, they’d have their 2029/2031 1sts, ‘28, ‘30, and ‘32 swaps, then Gabe’s 11.5M expiring, JHS 4M, Christie’s 7.7M, Rui’s 18.26M expiring also. Gabe + Rui would be 29.76M, toss in JHS and they’re at 33.8M or so. Cliffnotes: LeBron is gonna play in 25-26 barring something catastrophic bc of that $. And if they don’t add a multi yr contract to the books in a trade this year, they’d be able to use the MLE next season. Maybe even the MLE & BAE if LBJ will take a few million less prolly getting another gtd year in return. 52.6M PO, if he took say 46M they’d have enough for the MLE/BAE which is huge, MLE is like 14M and BAE 5.1M. He would sign a 1+1 for around 2y/$95.xM. They’d be able to sign a PG w the MLE, ideally a good backup C w part or all of the BAE, then make a big trade for a F using say Rui+JHS+Vincent. Thats 33.8M in salary, and they’d have assets. Two 1sts (2029/2031) and three swaps (2028/2030/2032) as well as some 2nds. If I were them I’d be calling Utah about Sexton and Kessler. I think sexton is a solid upgrade on DLo, his 3P volume isn’t much lower and I think it’d be higher on LAL. Hes a little better on DEF, younger, good contract, and he provides infinitely more rim pressure than DLo. Utah drafted a C, signed a C, and they have Collins, Hendricks, etc. So if they could get Sexton and Kessler for DLo, JHS, and Reddish that’d free up a bit of $ for them to be able to sign a minimum guy, and they’d finally have a real backup C. If they can get that done without giving up a 1st you gotta do it. DLo is expiring so it saves UTA like 18-20M or w/e 25-26, JHS is an ok flier, they may be able to send DLo to a 3rd team for a second or two also. But if they could do it for a 2028 unprotected swap, a cpl 2nds, JHS, and then unprotecting the 2027 1st they owe them that’s T4 protected? That seems like a fair trade for both teams.

I hate how people talk about the lakers you want them to not make trades and just keep the same team with hood chemistry but then you want them to sign and trade everyone this is becoming sad nothing they do matters. To me signing a new coaching staff, bringing a top 5 ready nba prospect in the 2024 draft, resigning dlo who had a great season with the lakers, Max who has been improving every year, and adding Bronny who add additional value because he can boost Lebron morale
Yall are losers for the offseason if the goal is to win a ring this year which it always is with a lebron led team. Nobody got added in the offseason except rookies that will need time. Did nothing to help win now.
@@Yallhottakesaregarbage Tell me the move that would save the Lakers' offseason. We saw the last offseason the lakers added 4 new players to lose in the first round. The Lakers could only be losers if they lost valuable pieces in free agency or trades which they didn't. The Cavs is also a team he basically did little improvement but you would still call them winners right.
@@YpcVixy bro the lakers are losers solely for the way the roster is constructed. Remember when yall "won the offseason" last year for resigning guys and now yall are trying to trade half of them cause they aren't enough... Yall also couldn't make any trades cause your gm won't give any picks and the horrible dlo contract your team decided to give him. But yall were still in every trade rumor begging teams to take dlo and were astonished that no one wanted to trade with LA. Yall also let prince walk for nothing who was probably the most consistent player out of the ones yall signed last year anyway. The only reasons yall aren't losers is because yall hopefully won't be stupid enough to prematurely fire a coach a 3rd time so JJ will actually get time to develop and become a good coach.
@@Yallhottakesaregarbage It’s stupid to call the lakers losers for making moves and trading players but then call them losers for keeping the same team. Losing prince doesn’t matter he was playing decent because he got consistent minutes and was playing a role which was not deserved. We couldn’t make trades because teams wanted Reaves which the lakers wasn’t trying to give up and the picks was never the problem
Lol i thought the point was this offseason for the lakers to get bron and ad some help and yall didn't do that at all. They had their most healthy seasons since their championship year and it didn't even lead to anything. The team itself maybe didn't get that much worse but other teams in the west got alot better where below the lakers stayed basically the same. This is why yall are losers. And yall gotta stop overrating AR like he some top 30 player . Yall are going to have to give up someone good to get something good back no team is stupid enough to believe a player dlo or rui is worth trading for after how much yall paid them. This is why people keep targeting ar in trades.

I can't blame teams for not wanting Brandon Ingram. He is a damn good player and can impact a team trying to move up. However, he has this 1 year before free agency. Why as a team if I am not already at the top of the standings, would I trade big time assets away for him when I could have the cap space to get him in the off season? If you are teams like the Hornets, Wizards, Pistons, Jazz, Spurs, Blazers, Bulls, Nets or Clippers...I wouldn't want to give up draft picks for him right now. If I am Milwaukee or Golden State or the Lakers, do you have the assets for him? The Celtics, Knicks, Thunder, Wolves... don't need him. Philadelphia might, but the cost would be too high. Denver might...but again...the cost. It is better to wait for him to become a free agent and sign him or do a sign and trade to get him.
I've yet to see anyone give real reasons for Denver other than not having an easy narrative to push. KCP had a trash season, he's overrated. Ant destroyed his defense.
The reason people are down on Denver is because they loss one of their best perimeter defenders you can think he overrated but he still one of Denver best who plays big minutes and one of the their better offensive options Also Denver had very questions 3pt shooting and KPC was one of their better shooters now relying on Braun and Peyton Watson who are bad shooters to make huge improvements is a huge hope but is possibly and they need guys who haven’t played much to drastically improved like Julian or Daron Holmes etc

Heat got ware the magic got kcp....i don't love the magic and i love ware...neither are winners or losers
This dude doesn't know ball imagine not mentioning Dallas😭 go cover hockey or something
dallas: lost their best defender (djj) and replaced him with a terrible defender lmao. You think pj and gafford can carry kyrie, klay, luka on defense?? most overrated offseason lol
woooooo dub upload
What about the bucks
OKC is so overrated. Dallas will sweep them this year.

@@crax-55 you’ll be living off that series your whole life because you barely beat the youngest team to ever win a playoff series and it will be the last time you beat them 😂
@@BestShootermanUbz Luka was literally injured the whole series and we still beat them. And we got much better this offseason. OKC is a 2nd round exit at best.

lol no they aren’t lmao 😂
The reason people are down on Denver is because they loss one of their best perimeter defenders you can think he overrated but he still one of Denver best who plays big minutes and one of the their better offensive options
Also Denver had very questions 3pt shooting and KPC was one of their better shooters now relying on Braun and Peyton Watson who are bad shooters to make huge improvements is a huge hope but is possibly and they need guys who haven’t played much to drastically improved like Julian or Daron Holmes etc
@@Wrestle_Kingdom Totally with you. Also just look at the other teams in the West, Minnesota, Dallas, and OKC has great offseasons and could all beat the Nuggets.

HOT TAKE
What if
Heat aren’t doing too well at the trade deadline
But the rookie from the lakers is having an outstanding year
I could see the lakers trading the rookie with other salaries and picks for Jimmy Butler
If the heat are not doing too well, I could see Butler on the move during the trade deadline
Very hot take because the Heat are not letting Jimmy go for a rookie there going to want rookies plus picks
the heat literally had a chance to pick dalton and already passed on him lmao
