Great video! I learned these were called afformations/askfirmations but I like this terminology too! I love a ‘how’ lofty question like ‘how did my life get to be so perfect?’ It feels more natural to my way of speaking, and gets my mind working on figuring out the method, rather than an explanation of why.

I like this. I don't know if you have listened to Mike Sweet's NLP podcast. (I have zero expertise here!) but he was also talking about powerful questions. I thought of and wrote a list of questions of things I wanted to happen but I had deemed impossible. Like, "I wonder when I am going to make _________laugh really hard today. " It worked! So surprising! Thanks for reminding me to do this more

Hi Berna, the questions are posed in such a way that they will encourage helpful answers, insights or solutions. So often an answer will come naturally. However, never try to force an answer. Asking the questions will help shift your mindset, regardless of whether answers come or not. Hope this helps. Paul

    • @SelfHelpforLife

Hi Soroush, Yes removing "always" could help. Other lofty questions could be "Why am I always learning ways to become more healthy?" or "Why do I always put in the effort to be as healthy as I can be?" Turning some of the affirmation statements in this video blog into Lofty Questions could be another option. selfhelpforlife.com/affirmations-that-work/ The most important thing is that your mind can accept the idea.

Great question and sorry for not answering it until now. Yes that's the inner critic at play! We all have that at times, including me! What I would suggest is to make your questions more believable. For example, "why is it easy for me to make all the money I need", or "how can I notice the universe helping me to be successful and lucky?"
I would also check out my video blog on creating believable affirmations, as the language suggested in this article could be adapted for lofty questions. Here is the link - selfhelpforlife.com/affirmations-that-work. hope this helps.
