The South African star is known for his fusion of afro-house and electronic, seamlessly blending sounds from these vast genres with elements of alternative pop and soul. He rose to international fame after his debut album 'Africa To The World' was certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).
For his hit track 'Akanamali' with Samthing Soweto, Into Ingawe with Ami Faku, and his 'Africa to the World' album, Sun-EL Musician has also been nominated for and won multiple SAMAs (South African Music Awards). With a whopping 31 tracks, Sun-EL Musician's second album was released in December 2020. My theory is, the reason South Africa has such diversity and richness in house genre, it's because if you listen to house music, you can sample instruments, melodies and rhythms used in different cultures and tribes of Southern Culture, and interesting enough, they all have base drum that resonant with our ancestors, the drum hits everyone spiritual, what connects Africans.
