- I paid $50 for over 200 packs of sports cards from Goodwill’s online auction platform Shopgoodwill. The reason I bought this lot of packs of sports cards (primarily baseball cards, football cards, & basketball cards) was because I saw l saw some pretty nice packs of sports trading cards on the listing. I kinda made a risky purchase here with not a lot of info to go on before making this sports card purchase…Let me know if you think it was worth the cost?!

You said you were taking a risk. 200 packs for $49 isn't a risk. That's about 25 cents per pack. Great Video!
Why were the packs already opened?
There is no way these packs would still have autos in them after being opened. Why even open if your not taking the hits out?

Enjoyed the unpacking loved the Orlando Pace card. My favorite NBA player right now is Victor Wembanyama.

The best about that box was no yuck gum. Not a huge hit but ripping pack is always fun.
Always like watching the jackpot finds of people getting rid of stuff that still has value. Being a card buyer and seller collector for over 30+ years you can find some steals out there on lots for sure. A few years back I bought a lot from my mom's friend for $25. It had 60 Jordan's in it Kobe rookies and lots of cool and rare cards best find ever! Like watching the videos keep up the good work! 🙂

I often find when getting searched boxes and binders there's sometimes a card they clearly forgot to take out, say a rookie Jeter or Wade Boggs. So, for cheap, i'd take it.
@@stereomois I have some like that where I’ve gone back through years later and found a few good cards after they got good. Just seems odd they would leave such good hits in the packs. Or are the packs new and he just opened them ahead of the video to save time so he could just grab them and look through.
What's left to claim? Lol. Hey how you sort your cards? I dont have that much sports, but my tcg collection is by sets. I was thinking of doing alphabetical order by sport.

how do easter eggs work?
You actually did quite well but be careful not be taken in with junk wax from the late '80s and early '90s or you will definitely get burned. So, yes continue to keep an eye out for packs in late '90s and early 2000's and current releases are your best bet and thanks for sharing.
So the all these packs come already open or you're just skipping that part

I’ve gotten a signed cd from my favorite band on accident from a online goodwill, thought it was a normal copy and it was actually signed by the entire band some goodwills have decent stuff

Anything with any real value that comes into local Goodwill stores is sold on the national Goodwill auction website. Said website is likely where he got this lot.

Something like this would go for well over 200 on that site. Rumor is goodwill has bots that run up prices. The whole site is pretty sketch from experiences I have read.

Goodwill and thrift stores like hospice, can hold some treasures. Some donations don't make it to the shelf, and those that do, you got to be an early lucky bird, there is earnest competition out on the hunt. Hell, about a year ago, I was holding a strangely sealed box of. 88 Topps baseball, i think it mentioned premium? It didn't state.much in details... It was a cool green color. 15 maybe 20 bucks. I thought, I have the set, no super rookies, love bo Jackson, but set it down. Later that night, by some coincidence,i saw a 87 Topps set box,in a fancy purple shade, online. I learned then, that's how Tiffany sets roll. Getting there, first in the store the next morning, was the soonest I could learn, it was bought the evening prior, just after I set it down.,just before closing. Strike them worms, fellow birdies!

Those fleer 91' baseball and score 91' football were sweet easter egg. And also the hockey 91' and soccer.

I don't think the cards in the sacks were all from goodwill especially the fact that he knew what year the player was already and if its a rc or not.
But it's entertainment and the guy must know what he is doing a little to have that many views and whatnot. Lol

Cool packs. I've never won a SG card auction. In fact once I was watching a auction and saw something valued at $25 sell for $700+ The last auction I won I had to overpay by $35 just to win anything.
