- Sabbath School lesson is one of the world-wide lessons studied by Seventh-day Adventist Church members for quarter two of 2024. The adult Bible study lesson for this second quarter was written by Pastor Mark Finley. I call pastor mark Finley my father in Christ ,because the first time I watched his sermons 2 years ago, I was converted to SDA from Anglican and was baptised. Now I'm following Chris and I've found the true worship from the holy bible. Be blessed pastor.

Love these lesson. What I have noticed in history people might have been more cohesive and a team and sharing and caring therefore it was clear what the idols were overall during the post cross period. The christians made incredible sacrifices out of love and the truth. However today we have a Canadian/USA culture of individual rights, me first and profound wide loneliness. The Devil has moved in our culture and encouraged this self implodeness. When self is the idol individuals look for ways to fill that hole that is void of love. Until the church (I am sure some churches that have a close unit of love) loves well people and individuals love well; truth will not penetrate the heart. The key is love that opens the door to truth; spirit of God. There are people looking for truth. Over all we need a movement of love coupled with truth.
Books like The Great Controversy (and others) will be irreplaceable when and if computers go down and books are all we have to strengthen our walk with God
Thank you for these lessons, Pastor Finley. I am being convicted to study scripture with greater dedication. God continue guiding and blessing your steps.

Yes after the apostles was the prophet Paul who prophecied about the rapture for those of us that have the free gifts to be born in the Spirit as commanded in John 3:5
Where in the Bible do you see the rapture friend? EVERY eye shall see him, we shall all be changed, the dead in Christ will rise...prayerfully go to the Word and read carefully again ❤

I am blessed by Pr. Mark and the book he authored entitled: " Let's study together" - in my language. I only pray for the Church to stand in a way more discerning and discernable than when the pandemic struck us and much to our surprise, the Church virtually yielded and submitted to all manner of creed verbatim virtually overnight, where for example, references for - medical exemptions - were denied stating simply "The Seventh-day Adventist Church does not advocate for religious exemptions to vaccination on either a global or national basis, based on its understanding of both the Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White"
Much to the surprise of many, a significant amount of Church hospital workers were 72 hours away from loosing their jobs in the North America Division. They were to be fired by the Church for adopting a non-inoculation stance. This was subsequent to the incumbent US Government threatened to levy a fine of near 10K USD for each uncompliant worker.
The church offered no reasoned push back. That is why this lesson strikes a chord, when proved, the reformers were willing to lay down their lives for what was evidently true and of manifest importance. It was only when the government was taken to court and defeated in a law-suit brought in the 11th hour by a secular coalition of business interests and protestant church entities that God's church workers were in effect spared from being fired by God's own body - The Church . It has taken me four years to "heal" from the disappointment that the body of God in which I thought I would be able to seek and find divine refuge in temporal crisis, proved otherwise.
But I still love its leaders, they are God's human instruments and I seek to see God in the good that they are able to do. Not in their faltering in the hour of trial. I have though concluded through this experience: Depend on God and pray for all members (including our dear leaders) to stand in the trials once more to come, when all else falls. Look Up. Psalms 188:8

Early Writings by Ellen White also a good book.
There are two versions of the book The Great Controversy. The 1888 version has 691 pages and the 1911 version has 694 pages.
