In case of the he Gepard is equipped with independent search and tracking radars, the search radar S and the tracking radar Ku band. Hi Phly. Just a FYI, regarding radar. There is a type of missile called an "Anti-radiation Missile", (ARM). ARMs, such as the AGM-45 Shrike, were introduced as early as 1965 over Vietnam. That's earlier than many of the radar guided AAs in the game. (And LONG before many of the MBTs). Radar operators learned to turn their systems off when a missile was fired at them. IF Gaijin introduces guided missiles to the game, and I understand that they are working on it, radar guided missiles and ARMs are almost guaranteed to be, (eventually), part of that package. At that point, I expect that being able to turn your system on and off at will, will be very desirable. A side note is that Surface to Air missile vehicles will almost certainly be on the table as well.
if I'm not wrong, that APFSDS round was developed into M735 shot for the M68/L7 gun. Even though they weigh the same, more charge would probably give it more kinetic energy, resulting in that penetration increase.

New game mode idea entrenchment team A is stuck in an urban area surrounded by rural areas where team B is. Team B gets unlimited respawns and team a gets limited spawns in order to prevent camping if the capturing team has 3 tanks for every 1 defending tank inside the town the defenders will automatically be forced to surrender or have a timer and when the timer runs out the game ends the teams would play two games who ever holds the city/objective in said city the longest wins this game would be mixed with airforce ground and sea as the game could be played in a port town or have a river going through a city and the boats could gain positions where there team could respawn instead allowing the tanks to get back into battle faster. how do i get gaigins attention Attempt 24

I think that the radar reticle should be massive, like bigger than the normal camera reticle, that way you should still have to aim instead of giving you a direct “point and shoot” reticle
Radar on spaas is great. Planes used to rule the game at top tier even if i did get a ton of kills in my my gepard before radar. Planes have their own arena they can play in, and radar has made the grab-a-cheap-fast-tank-to-cap-spawn and get in plane style of play go away mostly. Now its alot more tank on tank fights and less just dodging bombs. my two cents.
If Gaijin ever implements Anti-Rad missiles (missiles so probably not likely) they could make Radar toggle with a key bind, to allow AA to hide from Anti-Rad missile bearing planes and then switch back on when they're gone. Not the best implementation of the mechanic but at the same time, it does create a use for it, not to mention Radar AA would be an excellent counter to missile bearing aircraft in Ground RB. Just my 2 cents on Radar in general for War Thunder
That Radar advantage could be easily fixed if the planes could get a loadout of let`s say, a set of (H)ARM missiles (Highspeed Anti Radiation Missile). The planes then would have the ability, to take care of those radar guided ground defenese systems. To make it fair, the missiles should only work and track targets (after lock on) as long as those targets have their radar system active - if they switch it off, the rocket flys to the last known position so the AA is forced to move even after switching the radar off. On the other side, those air defense systems should have a manually set radar (on/off) to be able to sneak to a good position and then use a good chance to down one or two planes.

You DO know that APFSDSs diameter is not directly corellated with gun caliber, right? That 152mm APFSDS can have same rod diameter than 105mm one, for example.
Radar should be a keyed on /off ability, and they should implement radar seeking missiles. Turning radar on exposes your position when on , to planes that have the ability to detect radars . I think that would balance the whole radar issue.
I believe there should be ground radar for airplanes that have the ability to spot enemy ground targets by pinging off their radars. For example the m163 will activate it's radar and aircraft with ground radar can track it until the m163 deactivates his radar.
Hey Phly I've got a idea for a new Format: Suffer it Stock (Just play a requested tank stock(all modifications taken out dont use parts or FPE and use stock ammo) for example the Ru251)
They could keep that radar but add something like antiradar missile for planes. Like you fly, get alert of enemy radar somewhere and just pop the rocket. It guides itself and boom. AA have easy kills with radar but also planes can have easy kill. They should also add option to turn off radar so you cannot be targeted by antiradar missile. It's like in Wargame, you have radar AA that can devastate aircrafts in seconds but to counter that you can send an antiradar plane and it just anihilates radar AA.
You could also do what the real world did, and get anti-radar detection and perhaps even weapons? So perhaps the planes could eventually come to see where people are using radars?
Terrain not been equal on both sides is ok but they need to make the maps big enough that you are not forced to fight an uphill battle and can flank around.
I feel like the radar should possibly be a sort of pulse. Either constantly mark where the plane's going like it does currently and only appear 1/2 or 1/3 of the time. Or have a dot appear where the plane is traveling but have it not move and fade away, with multiple appearing every second or so. That way it doesn't give you an easy button with essentially homing rounds that are guaranteed to kill. But that being said, screw all aircraft in the "Ground Battles" :} The low tiers with early war planes and ordnance are just a joke. Their bombs and missiles are way more effective than anything was in WW2, can't imagine how broken high tier planes would be.

imo, they should have never added the lead indicator. If you cant hit the plane with that insane fire rate, learn how to. Keep the indicator around the plane,and get rid of the lead indicator. It really puts a damper on 8.0+ CAS.

For the SPAA in high tier, radar on, you are marked on the map. Maybe just to the acft, but marked just the same. Just a thought.

In the future they should add SEAD aircraft, and allow you to turn radar on and off. Doing so will effect accuracy.
