RM doesn't need to be on anyone's album, he has more fans than them all combined. San Yawn was an artistic director on rpwp, he's a force in Balming Tiger, the big guy walking into the sauna in Sexy Nukim. I forget if you've done it already but if not you should check out RM's collab on Smoke Sprite
I think you misunderstood a bit their point... If you knew the artists they are mentioning Thundercat or Tyler the Creator, you'd know it's not about popularity... it's about the sound and artistic connection! Thundercat plays the bass and is very funky/hip hop and hes leading this type of sound in the industry this is totally the vibe it reminded me of too on first listen! And the whole rpwp could fit Tyler's sound also on the forefront to produce music blending lots of jazz, hip hop, storytelling and experimenting.. So I also think they'd have amazing artistic chemistry and i would love to hear what Namjoon would come up with, with these people! Also I would love for Namjoon to be a recognizable name for these types of audiences who would totally understand and love the sound of rpwp! Hope I made sense😊💜 Totally agree with the rest of your comment and yes Smoke Sprite is so good!!!
RM doesn't need more recognition, as part of BTS & also it's leader they have earned their dues & then some!!! RM made this album not for recognition but to showcase his individual style, his poetic way with lyrics, not concerned whether he would get censored for being explicit. This album is a masterpiece & a genuine self reflection of Mr. Kim Namjoon❣👏👍💜💜
I have to disagree... He's successful but not recognized enough by peers and hip hop fans in my opinion! Not that he NEEDS it ofc, but I think he aims for this
@@mae__ Your entitled to ur opinion, but ur wrong, he's well respected by his hip hop peers, he's even collaborative with some. Did u ever watch his one on one interview with Pharrell? Look it up👍
@GloryB-xv4ro not saying he's not recognized at all!! And ofc I know about his Pharrell interview, PDD produced bu Warren G, Wale, krizz, the recent Cole shout out etc.... I'm not baby ARMY at all but I think he aims for even more and his recent feat with Meg I think also shows what type of audience he wants to reach out to and to what type of conversations he wants to be included in😊 He's already accomplished everything and doesnt need more but I still think his artistry should get even more recognition! And I'm so glad for example about his documentary being short listed at BIFF or Berlin film festival which are ppl from the industry 💜
@@mae__ RM's laying the groundwork for BTS' return and his own development. He IS recognized and IS included in the conversation. All the comments were great, just next time, maybe not start off with 'I disagree' when there was nothing to disagree with in the comment, just add to it.
@Sherluck93 I mean it's sane to have a disagreements when it doesn'tcome from a malicious place ofc! OP was also reacting in disagreement with the reactors, and i would tend to agree more with them on this specific point compared to OP's rebuttal in the 1st place.. that's what I didn't agree wth Because i also think their perspective was more a nuance brought maybe to the reactors than an opposition... True that Namjoon has some peer and industry recognition but also true that he deserves even more when considering his contributions and what he actually brings to the game😊💜
You are not the first who noticed that. Many industry professionals noticed that it feels like the project he always wanted to do but was constrained by the label of K-pop. If you look at all the Bangtan solos, that's what they all aim to do. South Korea is too small for them. Their label just acquired a US PR company Tag which handles some big names so it will be really interesting to see what will happen with all future releases. For me this album is chef's kiss it's sooo good! It matches his sharp mind and quirkiness. 💜💜💜
He wasnt constrained. He has always done what he wants to do, hence all his albums. This is where he is at the moment. And anyone who knows anything about BTS, knows they are not K-Pop. Yoongi said you can call them BTS Pop. Kpop is just noise
And you need to listen to the transition from nuts to the next song (out of love)…is so smooth. Yesterday I he displayed for a festival his documentary where he recorded the whole process of this album…la going to be on cinemas in December sk yea I could say you’ll need to listen the whole album and then go to see his documentary
RPWP is actually as korean as it is global...but an alternative sound....more sonically experimental and expressive....but i dont think he was targeting the western or english speaking audience....unlike JK that was clearly targeting the american pop music market....RM is unapologetically korean and his global fans love him for that...
The album is considered by critics as a big contender for album of the year. I don't know what it is sometimes with listeners/the audience, but I often feel that RM doesn't get the recognition he really deserves (some call the music on his latest album weird, they don't get it). Critics, and even other artists in the music Industry, always speak highly about him. His album is quite experimental (diferent genres, different flows, sometimes the use of strange sounds, videos that are very cinematic). I hope you will react to even more songs of the album. By the way, there's a documentary coming out about the 8 months before he enlisted into the military, the period in wich he was recording this album. It has been selected for the International filmfestival in Seoul. (I read that tickets sold out in 3 minutes). Later on it will be played in theaters all over the world (dates and places are not anounced yet)...
No disrespect or anything but actually it's the opposite he even said the latest album he knew it wouldn't be popular or as popular as other stuff but he did say in a video that maybe you should react to because it might give you a little bit of insight called the minimoni album exchange conversation part 1 but he did say that this was an album that he had to put out it wasn't for the billboards or anything else it was something that he had to do or else he would probably had not been here which is deep because we know that he was suffering from depression before he went to the military in as soon as this album came out in people from the side of him and he got to say what he wanted to say without caring he seemed lighter somehow
It wasn’t everyone in Balming Tiger that was involved with this album. San Yawn is the main BT member involved - with the writing and producing (and creative direction). Unsinkable from BT was on “out of bound,” “heaven,” and “Lost!” As far as I can tell, none of the other 8 BT members were involved.
You are wrong with that, Nam is the most underrated member in bts, bts fans prefer pop and the boys dancing with few clothes, Nam knew army wouldnt support this album as they do with Indigo, Nam say it, this album is to express his feelings, what is on his mind, he is more than the leader of bts, and thanks to the people in "Team Rm" make that possible, he is happier with them also he shows the freedom, you neeeed to react to minimoni exchanging music to understand what he was passing trhow...
Also they just do their thing after being unnecessarily snubbed. Namjoon has a lot of western fans, he doesn't need to beg anyone. They loved him while he sang in Korean, English and Japanese. One of the guys, San Yawn, from Balming Tiger produced. He is the big guy he riffs off of on Sexy Nukim video. BT is a group. His team had many people and you can check the credits.
Wahoo. My donation recommendation. This and domodachi are my two favorite songs on the album. Billboard has named #RM's 'Right Place, Wrong Person' as one of the best albums this year!
Im glad you recommended this song it seriously took us for a ride, we didn't know what to expect but honestly RM never disappoints this album has me very excited, and thank you so much for being part of the fam - Big Z
@TheAfterPartyReacts you are welcome. The album is very interesting. You never know what you are going to get with bts or any of the solos so it never is predictable or boring.
@@alifc1082 yes RM never said that so I said "imo"(in my opinion). But he did wear a mastermind shirt in mic drop 😉. And like many things, somethings didn't need to be said out loud like RM is also hella sick bar that is also in mic drop.
It sounds like it has western roots because he listens to western music like probably a lot of the people in the world and it is part of his influence. So he is yes tapping into western music but also tapping ino his own influences.
This album is genius. Creativity on high level. He is a very humble and simple guy outside, but his mind is so complex... I live him as a person and his work so much you can't imagine....
Great reaction. I enjoyed hearing your mixtape as well. I like the style🤗 I highly recommend you guys watch RM and Jimin chat about RM'S album. He spoke a bit about the songwriting process. Alsooooo hoping you guys do Jhope at Lollapalooza 💜
He also had an interview with Pharell Williams by the way. This was in 2022 when he was about to release his first solo album Indigo. The interview is very interesting: they talk about the process of making music and their career (RM considers Pharell as one of his idols and he was quite nervous during the interview).
@@TheAfterPartyReacts cool....just a small recommendation..I think you guys should react to bts songs from the Starting of their career like from 2013 to 2024...I think then you guys will know more about their progress and the success they have had over the years...including their solos according the series of release.....😇😇
