The War Report was haaaaaard as fuck when it dropped

Too bad CNN fell off after
This is staple, we still celebrate CNN
Kķķ
.
One of the greatest hip hop beats ever produced.
For a pea sized brain.
@@sleepyfribble Fuck is wrong with you clown?
Who produced it?
And why he's street rapper
Agreed
Legendary album. 40 years old and still bump like I'm 16
Dead ass! And the fact biggie wanted to spit a verse to this makes my soul cry
Same here. Was in HS from 96-00 and all I listen to is shit from that era
Hell yeah
Same, 40 as well this is my ish right here.
40 also 82 babies forever

(C.N.N.) C.N.N. say it proud yo
Facts this album is an underground classic
*On God & dem*
In hindsight it's because of Tragedy Khadafi.
Capone packed pure lingo into the verse. Scientists are still decoding it.
I see him round my way every now and then. He's He's doing better than me per say
His barz are actually tuff.
🥳
Scientist are working and almost decoded it as we speak
I'm talmbout top shelf over year head verse jus being released as the norm to commercial street ppl ..
Not us from gen x doe¡!!
The fact that biggie was supposed to be on this track before he passed is just straight sadness 😪
damn
Yup
I know biggie would've kill this beat
Technically, he kinda is.. apparently this beat was made for him to use on Life After Death but he passed on it. Nashiem Myrick then gave the beat to CNN. After they recorded it, Nash felt the record was missing something. So he showed the track to Diddy and BIG when they were in LA and asked them what he should do to it. Apparently both of them gave their insight on the track and told him what little nuances to add. While they were working on it, BIG called Nore and told him when he came home, he was gonna lay his verse down for the remix. This is why this song spiritually FEELS like a Biggie song because it was made for him and he kinda co-produced it..
@@clarktownsend8991 would have torched this track
I miss this era, I took it for granted :(
I never thought it would end
You and me both bro!!!
Me too. Now I hate life 🥴
........💯😔
Facts
As always Trag killed it.
This track is magical. Tragedy Khadafi, Capone and Nore, Nature... that era was truly magical. 90s I miss you.
💯
Rest In Peace Ghaddafi!!

💯😎🤗
I'm from GA but I grew up on this NYC real shit classic right here. NYC real rap
Tragedy murdered this yo!!!
This was the street soundtrack. The courtroom building background was a lot of kids familiarity’s scenario.
Capone voice is class love from Liverpool England 🏴🔥🔥
Tragedy lines always been 🔥🔥🔥
He was the best rapper on that tape
The war report is one of the greatest albums of all time!!
Not only the rap songs was better in the 90s. But the rap videos back then were worth watching too, especially if you watched rap city, had all the greatest rap videos on there.
BIGGIE CALLED NOREAGA just before he died in LA, he wanted to be on track too !!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Just imagine how EPIC IT WOULD HAVE BEEN, oh my G*D !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the Illest ‘What If’ ever 😢😢
#RIPBIGGIE
Would have been crazy big on this best doe
brh why you post this shit now im mad will never get to hear BIG on this shit
Biggie would've killed this beat
That woulda been hard as fuck
This was one of the best albums ever dropped in hip hop. Every song on this album is a straight banger. NORE had that sick style but Capone was on another level.
Fax
Without the street crédibility and the Connections from Nore , capone was nothing ....
@@raulalves580 street cred?? What was he locked up for?
@@RentalShowplace pone without nore is nothing more than a Mc
Nore was charisma. Capone was the lyricist.
Love that T.O.N.Y. beat. Bump’n this in high school. Great times!!
People forget that These Guys changed the way the music was heard........different beats & colder Bars!
FALSE! Mobb deep established the 90s queen sound. So knock it offf
Biggie wanted to spit on this but met his unfortunate demise before that could ever happen. RIP GOAT
I could imagine Big Pun on this song. But Biggie Smalls would've tore this beat up
NORE said "Kid you on Pluto, homoed out just like Menudo!" You can't say this no more in mainstream Hip Hop. Crazy how times changed. The question is, is it better or not?
Not
anyone who evens knows what rap is would say no. "Rap" today is just pop music masquerading as rap
But he was rite through
I'd say dat "wut da game tolerates" has changed! Used 2b da game didn't tolerate alot of "sexual acts" n videos & "sexual content" on ya albums, look wtf happened 2 "Luke" & his "band n the USA" controversy, "but" u could say shit on ya record like "homo'd out jus like menudo" & nobody really tripped. Nowadays u can show "more sex" & b more explicit, but u can't "say" da words homo/fag or go@ gays n "anyway" 4 "any reason" witout be,n attacked on social media, + having ya music protested on a major level 2make sure they stop,n ya bag!
It got worse way worse it not even hip hop it just straight the only real true hip hop is in the underground but it been like that since the mid-90's
This album is a classic. Queens was putting out the real hip hop in the 90s.
Late 90s all of New York was spitting that real. Golden Age of Rap if you ask me, with New York on top.
Shout out nore rocking the blue and white polo bear joint even back in 97
It's 2020and this song still going strong

Play Nore
Nore made the war report album he held it down as well as Tragedy in the absence of caponeo but nore is very underrated
@@E_MoneyBags tragedy made that album in reality but I hear you..
One of my favorite songs to come out in 96/97.
That opening N.O.R.E. verse was always one of my favorites. Had it memorized.
Classic 90 banger
Tragedy ripped this, his swag and the way he spit
made the west coast take a step back!!!!!
Should have 100 million views.

“I stand in front the judge bout to lie plus I’m high too” l was 10 years old wit my Walkman one of my first cassette tapes.
Important hymn to NYC. This was HipHop history.
This IS hip hop history, not was.
@@chrismccabe1795 No, it happened in the past!
@@hanzo3381 yah.., that is the definition of history....
It took me almost 3 decades to realize that the singing vocals in the background is actually "Allahu Akbar" harmonized! This whole song was on another level went above many people's heads.
From Iraq to Kuwait, word-up!!!
See, i knew I wasn’t the only person who thought the intro was the dopest part of this banger😭😭
Nore drink champs with pharrell, Nore said biggie called him when CNN was in the studio asking nore if he could be on this song. I fucking passed out lol
I saw that too….Since he said that I can hear bigs voice and cadence on this beat would’ve matched perfectly
That’s what brought me here. Biggie would have went stupid on this. RIP the great 👑
@@MrMessyb Oh yeah can you amagen Biggie in late 97 going into 1998 .
Those are some big jeans N.O.R.E was wearing!
Dope.
This verison of N.O.R.E would never apologize for nothing. Stand on what you say
Facts.
So Nore is not this way anymore???
He still would have apologized 😂bruh never stood for anything like Nas, Tradgedy etc etc
He protecting his assets yo he was shook as fuck on The Breakfast Club! He didn't wanna get any type of backlash with everyone that could jeopardize Drink Champs. Btw this is not Noreaga not even NORE this N.O.R.E. Still one of the realistic War Report the realistic grimiest album out of NY imo #Slime
Then he bragged about bringing reggaeton to America. BUT this album still bang.
Trag's verse is legendary
BIG FACTS
When Tragedy come on it’s like a snowstorm it so ice cold lol 😂😂
Tommy boy is the luckiest label in the world to have this album on there label.
tommy Boy had a GANG of Classic drops!
Tragedy n Capone are serious mc's Khadafi gotta be the most slept on in Queens
R.i.p Big!!!!!! What could have been.
Puffy's fault.
Album genuinely changed my life at the age of 14 may not have been in the era it came out but this album opened my teenage eyes to a new world and went along with all my graffiti i did real nyc shit ya dig
One the hardest NY cuts I heard around that era 🎵🎶🎼🎙💣💥
They say that Biggie Smalls was originally slated to be on this song
Nore recently said BIG was supposed to be on this. I can hear Bigs voice on this beat ,would’ve been crazy if that happened
2021 and I still can't put this track down!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You not the only one this song brings back great memories. 💎💜🌹 🌹 🌹
YA HERD 🦆🍾❄️👑
It's March 2023.. n I still get chills over this..the chorus..that singing..omg
This song and album is a masterpiece
These were not videos. These were movies 🎥
90’s East Coast joints just hit on a high spiritual realm… WORD UP🔥
The Good old days in Miami. True hip hop Dayz
OG CAPONE#1 N NOREGA#1
Just heard this for the first time🔥🔥🔥
One of the hardest songs ever recorded 💯NYC #Queens
N.O.R.E doesn’t age! Lol This is straight classic hip hop
90s Hip Hop > Any music genre any decade
I wanna like this comment, but 60's Motown and Stax, 90's R&B and 80's hardcore punk is just as good, I'd say it's a tie. But it's damn close for sure
Shit every genre had its heyday but classic rock can't be touched.
@@gofkurself didn’t have the variety and innovation
This is wordplay at its finest....
This whole album is 🔥🔥🔥 classic NYC shit right here

Noriega blast with nines"...lord that shit hard
My fav part
Bro.. Capone spits so raw it makes me cry.. mind blown
The best song rap for ever and all time.
The Notorious B.I.G. was gonna be on the remix to this song. He called N.O.R.E. from L.A. and played T.O.N.Y. [Top Of New York] and said, "The minute I get home I’m going to lay my verse for the remix." N.O.R.E. said he didn’t even ask if it was okay, he just told him he was going to lay his verse for the remix. He was like, ’Soon as I get home I’ma lace this.’ But he never got to lay the verse
N.O.R.E. said "At the time, T.O.N.Y. was Biggie’s favorite record. I think Nashiem just did an interview where he stated that. Nashiem’s story was that he played the record for Big and Big didn’t like it. But then we took it and laid the vocals to it, Big loved it. I believe T.O.N.Y. was Big’s record, I’m not sure"
Capone entrance is fully epic.
Who is bumping this during the 2020 pandemic?
Straight classic!!🔥💯
One of the hardest tunes back then and still 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The whole album is a banger
I Remember when Tragedy was gettin it and he moved to my HOOD!! ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT EVER HAPPENED.. BRO HAD KNOWLEDGE!!!
