There does seem to be a misconception here...people keep bringing up Rimuru and saying how Shadow isn't as strong? I did not mean he was stronger but he's more OVERPOWERED, that might sound...weird but there is a difference, going off the manga (yes I haven't read every isekai novel and I've not read Slime novel just the manga) Cid is more OVERPOWERED than Rimuru within their own respective universes, there are many in Slime that can match Rimuru or are even stronger but there is NO ONE with Shadow. That's a major point of Cid's character unlike Rimuru who has a lot more depth to him as a character (you can even watch my video explaining why he's actually my favourite isekai protagonist!). I don't know why I have to clarify this if I'm honest but here you go.

He actually hasnt worked hard ever in the anime only sometimes in the flashbacks when hes a kid. He just keeps out doing himself. Saying hes working hard gives the wrong impression when hes doing all this atomic with ease. No hard work at all hes never fatigued after

Actually Cid is a psychopath, in the last fight in season one he was going to nuke the capitol. He remembered a younger version of himself saying that would not be cool so he deflected the blast up, that’s why it went from raining to sunny. 😎

Okay so a quick thing to mention, I state that Beatrix is almost on the same level of shadow in swordsmanship but as some people have pointed out, Cid was primarily talking about Shadow Garden and 1 more thing, the atomic he used against Beatrix and Iris he actually sent up in to the sky changing the weather! I actually didn't notice this whilst scripting but shows how BROKEN he is even more

Another thing to point out that when Alexia called Shadow's swordplay "Transcendent" , that wasn't even his own sword style, he was using the Royal Bunshin school of Sword fighting just to show Alexia how good of a sword style it can be, but its not his real sword style which is even stronger.
One thing you glossed over was Cid casually escaping the orbit of his planet when he was fighting Ragnarok. That’s like Mach 33 minimum. Also to achieve his “I am atomic” he always uses some short of sharp object like his sword or the threads he makes. My current working theory is that it isn’t his magic that makes the atomic blast it’s his speed and precision in cutting an atom so fast it causes a chain reaction leading to the atomic explosion. Some real science here: The little boy (One used on Nagasaki) releases neutrons that travel at speeds of 10 million m/s or about 3% of the speed of light that hit 2 uranium 235 causing a chain reaction leading to a massive build up of energy that is released causing an atomic explosion. Our average nuclear bombs these days can do that but better. So, shadow at very least can reach speeds higher than 3% of the speed of light to cause his regular “I am atomic” blasts. But with his fight with ragnarok and the explosion radius along with the light caused from the explosion his speed at minimum should be at 100% the speed of light or even 200% the speed of light. To cause an explosion that big in such a short of time.
Very recently in the manga, cid encounters a young aroura, who is so much more powerful than her in the sanctuary, and easily helps her contain it. This is what he saw at the sanctuary but much stronger, and even though aurora knows how strong she is when unleashed, still falls to his harem

Moments prior guy was doing everything he could to break the shackles of his mortal perception and be able to feel mana, and he did indeed, found the most powerful source of mana in this world. (and may, or may not, have unleashed an apocalyptic event on earth) 10:45 ~ The Anime actually nerfs Shadow here, since novel and manga he did all that with swordsmanship only, and without moving place. And after leaving his money behind, he just had a causal stroll through her onslaught, then atomic. He also destroyed the whole tower, WHILE healing the people, meaning he can also be highly selective with his attacks.
Cid is pretty much a living god. Being atomic and having magic, Cid can absorb the radiation and neutrinos from the sun and the natural background radiation for unlimited magic/power.
what makes cid so strong is his training from his previous life he was on the path to becoming the strongest martial artist on earth and the way he views combat all that mixed with his magic is what makes him overpowered vs other isekie protags which rely on there new reborn power put them all in normal human bodies and cid would be the only one able to fight due to that training

When Mordred brings up the "central point", my brain went into EXTREME theory-crafting mode, in which, I essentially look at the wording a character uses when they provide an infodump, and I have an interesting theory that I guarantee isn't likely to end up being the case, but may sound interesting regardless. The way he worded it was extremely informative while still being rather vague. Notice how when he points out that "central point," he never actually said anything about it being another realm specifically. In fact, one of the girls even says something along the lines of "is it a god?" To which, Mordred responds in a way that doesn't either deny her question, nor does it confirm it, and that is when it hit me. What if the "central point" isn't a "God" or a Realm, and instead, was actually a person? What if that person was Cid/Shadow that they were observing? If you think about it, there are a few good examples of why this would make sense. The first bit of evidence is actually from the first episode of the series, though I preface this by saying it is the least convincing, as it is not something that more than like only I saw. At the beginning of episode 1 of Season 1 we are first introduced to Akane Nishino, which until now I thought it was rather odd, considering I can't remember watching a single anime that had introduced a character other than the MC, let alone one that until now had no relevance to the story. Now, given the new information we have received from Mordred, maybe it was intentional. Also, I seem to recall most of that episodes narration coming from her and not our MC. However, while I believe that her narration in that episode is essential to this piece of evidence being valid, I'm unable to understand why it is. The key piece of narration from her in this episode I think would be from the end of it, specifically the bit where she mentions how she couldn't understand his motives/actions and how she would never get the answers now that he had died. This last point will actually be used to tie this into another piece of evidence. The second piece of evidence is actually based on something you said inside of one of your season 1 reaction videos. In said reaction video, you mentioned Cid's "real power" and how it was funny how he would "accidentally" find the right answers. Well, what if that actually was his "real power," and what if he is just not aware of it? What if, when he'd "accidentally" find the right answer, he was actually altering reality unknowingly? This would also explain why he, even now with everything that has happened so far, still convinced everything, even after all he has experienced, is nothing more than an elaborate play that Alpha and the others have constructed for him. In fact, when I was thinking about how to explain this, I found myself thinking about another anime that actually uses the "altering reality" trope as its core for building the story. I am obviously talking about "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", which as most of you already know, centers around Haruhi being a "God" who unknowingly alters reality In fact, when I think about it, both Haruhi and Cid have one thing in common, which might make this theory more likely to be the case. Cid and Haruhi are both driven by a desire for something that, while it makes no sense to anyone else, and while they themselves may not know why, it makes sense to them. Of course, their desires are definitely different on the surface, as I just showed you they are the same at the core. While I have a few more pieces of evidence, I'll just conclude with this next one. This is the one I said would have my first piece tie into it. This has point has to do with the ending of S2E12's final minutes, as well as the rest of the story that hasn't been adapted yet. Thankfully, this can be explained without any spoilers, as it doesn't really need anything from the story to understand. When he gets sucked into the mysterious blackhole, did you notice how, when it appeared, it gave off the same weird pattern that Cid/Shadow gives off when using magic? Yes, it was green while he gave a violet hue, but that could just be an irrelevant difference. Then, all of the sudden after he gets sucked in, we see the same thing I mentioned about the opening of S1EP1, where instead of Cid/Shadow, we are instead greeted by Akane Nishino who is now at the age of 20, and we also see that their world appears to be in ruins. It is after this big reveal that she mention going out on patrol, after which she reveals that in the 4-5 years after MC's death, their world now has magic. That aside, in that last chunk of the episode, which consisted of the last 5-7 minutes (excluding the last 1.5 minute ED), Cid/Shadow doesn't even show up until the last 45sec-1min, when he once again saves her life from the same guys inside the same building. In conclusion, what if this "Central Point" that is mentioned but isn't defined, is actually our MC, and the reason that they are unable to actually observe its true form/nature is that the truth they seek from it has already been observed. That without realizing it, the Cult of Diablos have been fighting against that "central point" in the form of Shadow. If this is the case, it would make what he said in S1EP5, when he says "Let the true meaning of the almighty be carved into your soul" take on a MUCH scarier and more literal meaning.
Not sure if it's related but in the LN when Cid did the I am atomic against morded, it's said "Shadow stands at the very center of the world, raising his jet-black sword to the sky"
good vid, one little correction though, Cid's said that Beatrix swordplay was almost at the Garden level (most probably the shades), but Cid's swordplay is even better than that. Not for nothing he easily counter her and Iris, at the same time, and later, Alpha (as John Smith).
Remember Alpha forced Cid to use a Sword while in his John Smith persona since Alpha was actually winning against him. It goes to show how strong Alpha really is however the Anime doesn't show this properly sadly

He is a lot stronger than demon kings who are literal threats to entire dimensions/ universes and defeated the most dragon when he was only around 10 and the most dragon is a demon king level threat. He defeated it and made it his subordinate when he was 10. He is around 16 in the anime.
What I like about Cid that sets him apart from isekai protagonists is even without magic he’s still a monster. Also his magic content isn’t even all that special, he increased it over time by training but also knows how to use it to its full extent
His healing power and regeneration power is more powerful than people realize. Not just healing wounds and magic overload, but also regenerating whole limbs. It is clear that even the planetary level attack of the last episode of season 2 is still just the top of the ice berg as we have yet to see Shadow pressured at all.

I love how you went out of your way to include the special mention of the most recent episode, which I can only presume is the last episode for Season 2 for now. I'm eager to see how Season 3 pans out; I hope they step up more of the battles the same way they did with the tournament; their inclusion of that use of the Artifact at the end of the tournament was worth the extra time and effort to add the fight in; because it just felt completely lacking without the extended fight sequences.

Magic does not have red hue generally, this was shown with Rose, Alexia and Iris. The red hue is only those that took Diablos's magic, aka eating the pills. That's why the cult have people with red hues magic instead of other colours.
Saying that Beatrix sword play is on onpar with cids Is such a downplay mate I know your not talking about his total battle iq there but Beatrix swordplay was never stated to be onpar with cid, cid mainly used his battle iq in the fight when cid said that her magic has lot left to be use, he meant it by she could've utilise her magic more efficiently He barely used his magical advantage on that fight aswell if you look at it now he might have used the same or even less amount of magic than the two of them in that whole fight

i think that one scene early on with Cid sparring with his older sister can make an argument that he’s actually lightspeed. he effectively paused time mid duel to practice all the ways he could easily kill her before moving back into the exact position he was in without showing as much as a blur. it wasn’t even a small movement he made, he showed multiple ways he could win the fightfeel as though a prodigal trained swordsman would have been able to see at least something but she was completely unaware that he had even moved

his most broken ability is not his combat skill. it is his weird guessing ability. he makes something up and it winds up true. he didn't even know about the cult. he simply made up an enemy for fun and it turned out to be real. he threw a random guess on where something could be on a map and it was correct. truck-kun didn't kill him. i swear it is probably himself that went back to the past and transported back to earth one day and took a drive on the road and ran himself over accidentally.

Eminence in shadow is a comedy but underlines a sad thuth for people who train everyday wanting to get better. Whether it is powerlifters who want to lift more or fighters who would like to be stronger independently of technique. Human biology is a limiting factor to physical progress. In the first episode, Minoru understands that his training will not take him where he wants and that is where Truck-kun saves him from his limitations
I think magical color changes to match the individual. Like goldy the dragon has gold magic. Also, what makes him unique at least in my eyes is that for all we know he has the same amount of mana as everyone else but he has perfect control over it. His application is what makes him so overpowered

Shadow says about proton, neutron and electron stuff to explain the atomic explosion but its not how he do it. His atomic explosion happens when he concentrate his mana in a single point, after that, he releases it all causing an nuclear explosion. So he doens"t control atoms with his magic, he's so powerful that can cause a nuclear explosion with his own power.
SPOILERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: Slight correction. Sid doesn't kill the military man, though that's not through any consideration on his part. He essentially removes his lower jaw, crushes his skull, and gives him permanent brain damage and PTSD. We find this out because that black hole he gets sucked through at the end of season two drops him of at earth were the military man has kidnapped the SAME school girl again just to have Sid drop in on his head. Okay so a quick thing to mention, I state that Beatrix is almost on the same level of shadow in swordsmanship but as some people have pointed out, Cid was primarily talking about Shadow Garden and 1 more thing, the atomic he used against Beatrix and Iris he actually sent up in to the sky changing the weather! Another thing to point out that when Alexia called Shadow's swordplay "Transcendent" , that wasn't even his own sword style, he was using the Royal Bunshin school of Sword fighting just to show Alexia how good of a sword style it can be, but its not his real sword style which is even stronger.
One thing you glossed over was Cid casually escaping the orbit of his planet when he was fighting Ragnarok. That’s like Mach 33 minimum. Also to achieve his “I am atomic” he always uses some short of sharp object like his sword or the threads he makes.
My current working theory is that it isn’t his magic that makes the atomic blast it’s his speed and precision in cutting an atom so fast it causes a chain reaction leading to the atomic explosion.
Some real science here: The little boy (One used on Nagasaki) releases neutrons that travel at speeds of 10 million m/s or about 3% of the speed of light that hit 2 uranium 235 causing a chain reaction leading to a massive build up of energy that is released causing an atomic explosion.
Our average nuclear bombs these days can do that but better.
So, shadow at very least can reach speeds higher than 3% of the speed of light to cause his regular “I am atomic” blasts.
But with his fight with ragnarok and the explosion radius along with the light caused from the explosion his speed at minimum should be at 100% the speed of light or even 200% the speed of light. To cause an explosion that big in such a short of time.
Very recently in the manga, cid encounters a young aroura, who is so much more powerful than her in the sanctuary, and easily helps her contain it.
This is what he saw at the sanctuary but much stronger, and even though aurora knows how strong she is when unleashed, still falls to his harem

When Mordred brings up the "central point", my brain went into EXTREME theory-crafting mode, in which, I essentially look at the wording a character uses when they provide an infodump, and I have an interesting theory that I guarantee isn't likely to end up being the case, but may sound interesting regardless. The way he worded it was extremely informative while still being rather vague. Notice how when he points out that "central point," he never actually said anything about it being another realm specifically. In fact, one of the girls even says something along the lines of "is it a god?" To which, Mordred responds in a way that doesn't either deny her question, nor does it confirm it, and that is when it hit me. What if the "central point" isn't a "God" or a Realm, and instead, was actually a person? What if that person was Cid/Shadow that they were observing? If you think about it, there are a few good examples of why this would make sense.
The first bit of evidence is actually from the first episode of the series, though I preface this by saying it is the least convincing, as it is not something that more than like only I saw. At the beginning of episode 1 of Season 1 we are first introduced to Akane Nishino, which until now I thought it was rather odd, considering I can't remember watching a single anime that had introduced a character other than the MC, let alone one that until now had no relevance to the story. Now, given the new information we have received from Mordred, maybe it was intentional. Also, I seem to recall most of that episodes narration coming from her and not our MC. However, while I believe that her narration in that episode is essential to this piece of evidence being valid, I'm unable to understand why it is. The key piece of narration from her in this episode I think would be from the end of it, specifically the bit where she mentions how she couldn't understand his motives/actions and how she would never get the answers now that he had died. This last point will actually be used to tie this into another piece of evidence.
The second piece of evidence is actually based on something you said inside of one of your season 1 reaction videos. In said reaction video, you mentioned Cid's "real power" and how it was funny how he would "accidentally" find the right answers. Well, what if that actually was his "real power," and what if he is just not aware of it? What if, when he'd "accidentally" find the right answer, he was actually altering reality unknowingly? This would also explain why he, even now with everything that has happened so far, still convinced everything, even after all he has experienced, is nothing more than an elaborate play that Alpha and the others have constructed for him. In fact, when I was thinking about how to explain this, I found myself thinking about another anime that actually uses the "altering reality" trope as its core for building the story. I am obviously talking about "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", which as most of you already know, centers around Haruhi being a "God" who unknowingly alters reality In fact, when I think about it, both Haruhi and Cid have one thing in common, which might make this theory more likely to be the case. Cid and Haruhi are both driven by a desire for something that, while it makes no sense to anyone else, and while they themselves may not know why, it makes sense to them. Of course, their desires are definitely different on the surface, as I just showed you they are the same at the core.
While I have a few more pieces of evidence, I'll just conclude with this next one. This is the one I said would have my first piece tie into it. This has point has to do with the ending of S2E12's final minutes, as well as the rest of the story that hasn't been adapted yet. Thankfully, this can be explained without any spoilers, as it doesn't really need anything from the story to understand. When he gets sucked into the mysterious blackhole, did you notice how, when it appeared, it gave off the same weird pattern that Cid/Shadow gives off when using magic? Yes, it was green while he gave a violet hue, but that could just be an irrelevant difference. Then, all of the sudden after he gets sucked in, we see the same thing I mentioned about the opening of S1EP1, where instead of Cid/Shadow, we are instead greeted by Akane Nishino who is now at the age of 20, and we also see that their world appears to be in ruins. It is after this big reveal that she mention going out on patrol, after which she reveals that in the 4-5 years after MC's death, their world now has magic. That aside, in that last chunk of the episode, which consisted of the last 5-7 minutes (excluding the last 1.5 minute ED), Cid/Shadow doesn't even show up until the last 45sec-1min, when he once again saves her life from the same guys inside the same building.
In conclusion, what if this "Central Point" that is mentioned but isn't defined, is actually our MC, and the reason that they are unable to actually observe its true form/nature is that the truth they seek from it has already been observed. That without realizing it, the Cult of Diablos have been fighting against that "central point" in the form of Shadow. If this is the case, it would make what he said in S1EP5, when he says "Let the true meaning of the almighty be carved into your soul" take on a MUCH scarier and more literal meaning.

good vid, one little correction though, Cid's said that Beatrix swordplay was almost at the Garden level (most probably the shades), but Cid's swordplay is even better than that. Not for nothing he easily counter her and Iris, at the same time, and later, Alpha (as John Smith).
Remember Alpha forced Cid to use a Sword while in his John Smith persona since Alpha was actually winning against him. It goes to show how strong Alpha really is however the Anime doesn't show this properly sadly

What I like about Cid that sets him apart from isekai protagonists is even without magic he’s still a monster. Also his magic content isn’t even all that special, he increased it over time by training but also knows how to use it to its full extent
His healing power and regeneration power is more powerful than people realize. Not just healing wounds and magic overload, but also regenerating whole limbs. It is clear that even the planetary level attack of the last episode of season 2 is still just the top of the ice berg as we have yet to see Shadow pressured at all.

I'm eager to see how Season 3 pans out; I hope they step up more of the battles the same way they did with the tournament; their inclusion of that use of the Artifact at the end of the tournament was worth the extra time and effort to add the fight in; because it just felt completely lacking without the extended fight sequences.

Shadow says about proton, neutron and electron stuff to explain the atomic explosion but its not how he do it. His atomic explosion happens when he concentrate his mana in a single point, after that, he releases it all causing an nuclear explosion. So he doens"t control atoms with his magic, he's so powerful that can cause a nuclear explosion with his own power.
