Your ESC was set to comfort (blue) on lambo which reduces wheels slip. Change ESC from blue to yellow for more slip sport mode. If you get a car with a grey ESC setting that allows full wheel slip.
Shortcut is ctrl+q

Turn on "Understeer Assistant" under gameplay options, it will help a lot if you are a keyboard/controller user. Also, you should change the driving mode to either the sportiest setting or turn off traction control and ESC completly

The reason your might be struggling to turn in beam is because out of the gate the game has no steering assist(you can turn it on) meaning when you’re driving quickly and you use your controller to turn, the wheel will fully lock in that direction, resulting in an ungodly amount of under steer.

Buy a bunch of hot wheels real life cars and put them in a container. Close your eyes and draw ten groups of ten cars and then pick one car that u would want irl from each group and that would be your ten car garage
