Shaq: "Yea, compromised by my strength."

Cracked up at, “Shut up man, I’m talkin’ to Shaq”. The delivery and the way he waved Kenny off was perfect hahaha
Loved it. 😂😂😂
And followed up with is your beard ever come up all the way in 😂😂

Shaq: Centrifugal force.
Chuck: That's what you call fatness.
🤣🤣🤣
@@user-vz8gt4xu2u shaq wouldn't understand even if you explained it to him
@@user-vz8gt4xu2u
Dawkins was grown man power than SHAQ who uses his weight for power.. Dawkins was 250-280 pounder at 6"10 While SHAQ was 7"1 300 pounder . Which makes DAWKINS much more powerfull than SHAQ

Gotta love the "IN YOUR FACE DISGRACE" and "THE SPINE CHILLER SUPREME"♥️
@@mrboo3049 🤣🤣. He did NBA the 1980s on NBA TV before he passed. He started naming some of his dunks. Lisa Leslie & Michael Rappaport lost it

“Is your beard ever gone come all the way in”😂😂 chuck got em wit dat one.
Kenny should have said Dwight Howard
Or Charles
and repeat himself over and over again
🤣🤣🤣
Not sure how they say Vince but not Dwight
@TimDaGoof not sure how Kenyon Martin aint in this
I know Shaq was rock hard watching this 😂
Easssssyyyyyy now
@@trevmason2352 it’s a joke relax
Chuck had enough of Kenny at the end “Is your beard gonna fully grow in?” 😂
kenny is so annoying. it gets so bad during all star wknd
I really don’t know how Ernie does it with these 3. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
YEARS of experience my man, that's how.
I like how they rolled out “The Lab” like nobody ever heard of “Sport Science” before 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Gotta love Charles poking fun at Shaq 😂
Reminds me of Sports Science back on ESPN
Fox Sports Net had it for a while too.
Ray Lewis being a human battering ram
Dominique threw some crazy powerful dunks
this
they didnt call him the human highlight film for no reason
True.
Yeah he got so high he could throw it down hard.
Shawn Kemp had some good dunks but Nique was tearing that rim up with crazy dunks. David Robinson had some power too. The Human Highlight reel and Robinson were my favorite dunkers.
"That's what you call fatness" 😂
I swear you could create a whole book of funny quotes from this show.
"Looks like me and chuck had a baby"
"Shaq mistaken KJ as one of his 17 kids"
This might be weird, but this segment almost made me cry. Very impressive, Shaq.
I was watching the Phoenix game live when Shaq KO’d the hoop. Such a spectacle!
NBA on NBC
7:41 😆😆😆 Chuck callin out Kenny
Good Kenny is annoying like a gnat. 😂
Chuck was a powerful dunker especially in Philly
Exactly...I taught the same thing.
Metal fatigue is a thing. Even if it was shaq who broke it cause he is the strongest in the league it gets worn down by everyone dunking it. if the failure point is steel.
And he didn't apply the amount of force that a fridge would falling lol like he barely held on and it gave way.
it is Shaq 100%. His power was unmatched!
I hope they make a ton of these episodes, we need more scientific sports content
Aint nobody throwing it down harder than Dominique Wilkins
King James chase down block harder than Dominck
This is a dope segment keep doing it.
The shot clock hit Shaq in his back before he could get out of the way on the Nets dunk.
I swear I was gonna say the shot clock hit him in the head
New Jersey Nets forward Chris Morris shattered the breakaway backboard against the Chicago Bulls in 1993.
Michael Jordan shattered a backboard at a Nike game in Italy in 1986.
Shaquille O'Neal was just an immensely powerful, brutish, 7-1, 300-pound freak of nature, and he was a force to be reckon with. Anyone that can destroy and tear down the entire structure of a basketball rim is insane 😳
You forgot
DARYL DAWKINS was the first power DUMKER. NIQUE too. Then SHAWN KEMP and SHAQ..
I'm not impressed on the way SHAQ breaks the rim. His 7"1 300 pounds of full WEIGHT power . It's possible for him to take down almost the entire rim.
While DAWKINS was 6"10 260-280 pounds but intensely shattered the backboards with his awesome ferocity and power. A natural brute STRENGHT if you ask me. Which makes me in my opinion. DAWKINS was more stronger than SHAQ. As a IMMENSE GROWN MAN BRUTE STRENGHT
@mrboo3049 There have been a lot of players in high school, college, and professional level that have shattered backboards. But Shaq has taken down the entire structure that supports the backboard. Do you know anyone who has accomplished that feat?
@@jayelbee1111
Can you name those pro players that shatters backboards. Not in college level.. before SHAQ. DARYL was the first to have broken and shattered backboards in the pros.. I'm not even surprise that SHAQ 7"1 300 pounds can broke down backboards and took them down because of his WEIGHT combine STRENGHT which makes him a bit heavier
But what surprises me is DARYL 6"10 260-280 pounds of NATURAL BRUTE GROWN MAN STRENGHT that can shattered a BACKBOARD that like you said first strike fear in the hearts of the players back in those days. Which is a bit surprise.. a POWER DUNKER that can broke backboards like DOMINIQUE and MJ was gifted by their STRENGHT and high leaping ability which is also great
@mrboo3049 You have to keep in mind that backboards in the NBA during the 1970s were not breakaway rims. Also, backboards in the NBA in that era were made from glass, not plexiglass. Shaquille O'Neal destroyed the backboard that had a breakaway rim and plexiglass, which is very hard to do. But the point I am getting across is that no other player in the NBA has destroyed the entire structure like the way O'Neal has. I mean, he has taken down the entire structure system to include steel frame support, cabling, shot clock, backboard, and rim. And he did it twice in the NBA to include Phoenix and New Jersey. I don't know any other player that has accomplished that. There were other players in the NBA that were bigger than Shaq, but they could not match the strength and power like him. Shaq was ferocious
@mrboo3049 The only players that destroyed the backboard in an NBA game other than Darryl Dawkins were Shaquille O'Neal, twice and Chris Morris, once. That's it
Amare stoudemire was a beast
people must’ve forget but chuck was a powerful dunker too
Thank you
More “The Lab” please.
Just watch ESPN Sport Science
The Lab is just a cheap rebranding of the same show after it failed before.. and it will fail again.
The lab is just bad popular science. Use a force meter on a vertical tension strap or a hydraulic press instead of corny objects like a refrigerator. A lot of show, not great science.
@@WanderingExistenceIt's just entertainment, not gonna excite basketball watching audience with real science
@@AK-74K Kinda sad tbh, but I sorta hear ya. Science can be presented in a better manner though, Carl Sagan and Bill Nye have left a cultural imprint on society with their science communication skills.
Really badly designed experiment, good lord
Shaq’s first answer to Ernie’s question “Shawn Kemp.” Exactly what my first answer was.
MJ broke a backboard also. 🐐
the glazing is crazy. MJ wasn’t even known for super strength
Chuck that uncle that knows his nephew great so he just trolls shaq funny af
“Is your beard ever gone come in”😂😂😂
That hanging legs up shaq slam is iconic
Shaq didnt just break a board shaq did a gamebreaker live before nba street dropped 😂😂
Remember it's NBA "Entertainment".......that's all I'm going to say......
Kenny needs to cut that beard off 😂😂😂😂😂 chuck 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great series. Would love more.
Charles must be a joy to be around for real.
‘It’s called fatness’ chuck is best 🤣🤣
Kenyon Martin in his Nets days is up there with Reign Man in rim ferocity.
I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Great stuff.
I thought they were about to drop the truck on it
the materials of that era is just not too good, but shaq definitely a power dunker
BS
Legendary Shaq 🩵
Kenyon was a beast
This is the best sports show hands down
badass video !!!! keep these up guys
Shaq was hanging on the goal that why he was able to take the goals down....Darryl Dawkins was just breaking backboard without using his weight to take them down
We need alot of this things👍👍👍
The disrespect that Stromile Swift gets is insane 🤦🏿
Gotta have hoop game knowledge to mention Stromile Swift. He was drafted too high but that wasn't his fault. 6'11" WITH a vertical. They don't know nothing about that
@@mongoslade277 facts my boy
Stromile Swift had some power jams, Blake and Dwight. Dwight lob dunk on Jrue Holiday is great evidence
Bro Westbrook did fast break just shear power man Kemp was all that Reign man for a reason he was so fast with Sonics and came down harder than anyone it's O'Neal, Kemp, Carter easily
You may wanna reconsider your list after watching some of Dominque Wilkins videos, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone throw it down with the combination of speed and power, there’s definitely a reason he got his nickname 😉
just power sure but there is just something about Vince Carters dunks that just felt different
is yr beard ever gonna come all the way in? Chuck breaks the metaphorical backboard of kenny's self confidence
Shaq is Superhuman
Kemp, Dominique, Amare, Blake and Dwight deserve a mention for power dunkers.
the chuckster! go ernie. he really helps the guys gel.
Westbrook was VERY powerful at dunks
100% he might’ve shattered some of those older ones
He's only like 6'3 200lbs tho. Super aggressive attacker of the basket tho of course
U meant west BRICK 😂😂😂😂
@@retrolifestyle2542hilarious man really a top notch joke
@@SolaceMcfly I'm crying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just proof that Shaq's strength was insane
The Lab is popsci... In a bad way. Instead of just dropping random weights on it from "20ft up" (even though the weight on falls 4ft the rim) use a force meter on a vertical strap or hydraulic press. This doesn't find the minimum force.
Shaq legendary story
Shaqs weight broke it. He had no power compared to DD. 12.5 is also a stretch since every center can out vert him
Definitely a compromised hoop
"12.5 is also a stretch since every center can out vert him" - Watch the ICONIC moment of Kobe and Shaq(alley oop dunk on Portland)
With that weight, to be able to jump that high.... even Zion Williamson looks thin compared to Shaq.
@@kamotetops1572Think your forgetting the man is 7'1". With only a 20 inch vertical he should be able to touch the top of the square
@@mongoslade277 "With only a 20 inch vertical he should be able to touch the top of the square" - Name another player as BIG as Lakers Shaq that can jump as HIGH as he can.
@@kamotetops1572 Point being that's he's 7'1" and doesn't have to jump high. He can probably tip toe and dunk
Shaq O'Neal is a beast

If The Lab is just Sports Science solely for the NBA, then I’m all for it
Blake griffin and Dwight Howard also
Good to see where my tax dollars are going with experiments like this
😂😂😂
How they not bring up Barkley with the two hand power slam
4:20 It was most definitely compromised. 😂Ain’t no way he would’ve done that otherwise.
I think there are three types of dunkers, and I place them in this category:
Finesse dunkers
Violent dunkers
Power dunkers
Man, young Shaq was out there absolutely DESTROYING whole stantions! Look it up, kids.
SHAQ WAS HANGING ON IT CHOCOLATE THUNDER BROKE THEM TRUTH
This team is epic !! Like live comedy show
Shaq is called superman for a reason
“Of course!”
Camera quality going crazy fr
Real ones know this was a sports science segment a decade+ ago
Nba does myth busters kinda. I like it.
Shaq forgot to mention Jordan dunking on him😂😂😂 Tjis is wild
Idk if they messed up when putting those goals up or if it was set up for Shaq to pull em down you know how the nba marketing scheme are planning for the future they planned but to have a human pull down the goal is crazy impressive
In NBA Jam, the only time I was able to shatter the backboard was with Charles Barkley.
😮 SHAQ was truly a FORCE.
all this proves is that it wasn't shaq that broke the net. it was just faulty/compromised. Shaq isn't stronger than a truck
Well, yes and no. Obviously it was compromised, but it still took a hard dunk to break. Just probably more like 1,000 pounds of pressure since it was compromised rather than 6,000 to break one that isn’t. He’d probably bend the rim and break his fingers before he pulled hard enough on a rim to break healthy steel.
Harold Miner and Darvin Ham used to crush rims
Darvin ham did it too
I am European and use the metric system and can imagine the wight of a kg.
TnT use bricks, hoopers, fridges and Trucks.
Why? 👀🤷🏻♂️
Somebody had to animate all that 🙊
Shaq: immovable object meets an unstoppable force
Everyone calls Shaq ET aka EXTRA TALLEM’S😂😂😂
Karl Malone had some powerful dunks in his prime.
It’s not like the backboard is being replaced after every game. Wear and tear is a huge factor. A lot of other considerations come into play and Shaq’s strength might come second to the last. Either they’re hyping the whole thing up or Shaq’s become too self-absorbed
Shawn Kemp !
Ernie is not the only one who calls him Chuckster….🤣
This is similar to ESPN Sport Science. Wish they would bring that back
Basically just showed us the net Shaq dunked on was faulty to break from that... think the Nets were tryna injure him WITH THE NET 😂
So disappointed in Kenny for not lumpimg Shaq and Dwight together and getting a reaction lol
The lab vid is dumb honestly. He simply dunked the ball and the hoop was most likely compromised or had a weak structure due to overuse.
Strong mythbusters vibes here. Good stuff.
Sport science is back 😊
