Spectacular job. More than a restoration - more like a teardown and reconstruction with improved joinery. I do love the two-tone finish . I just wonder what a blonde wood two-tone would have looked like - maybe with a sandlewood as opposed to an ebony to contrast with the doors and drawer fronts. That would seem more '50s to me. Anyways that was just a thought. One more thing - I loved the unusual leg arrangement on the credenza. That was one of the standout features of the piece. Was that one of the reasons your wife liked it to begin with?
