  • This really helped my ink flow better since I actually used it in the right proportions.
The paper I show is a notebook from Lochby with TRP (64 gsm) NOT Cosmo Air Light that I mistakenly called it in the video. Oopsie!

Hi Gail, I loved this video! This additive is news to me and I am happy to learn about it. I was thinking, maybe when more pigment sediments in your nib the ink is darker, whereas the consistency of the ink additive makes it lighter when you write more? In any case, I really like this green, it really is very Springy :)

      Thank you-glad you liked this.
The comments below may add some additional insight if you decide to try it. I’ll use even less next time but I’m glad to get some use out of my less favorite inks.
Thank you for your ideas on the ink color fading and darkening. What you said makes sense to me.

I dont like using white lightning because it makes all the inks I've ever used with it feather like crazy perhaps for christmas time when your trying to write in snowflake but not for every day use :) if I were to use the white lightning I would use it after the converter has been filled dip a tooth pick into the white lightning get a good droplet on the end of that toothpick and drip that into the converter because then you are only waisting a converter worth and not a whole sample vile worth :O) hope that helps

did you know that if you take the nib feed out that the middle of the channel of the feed comes out and you can put more uncooperative inks in it so it flows way better

Sounds like you added too much White Lightning. One full drop in a sample vial is way too much! You should try a whisper of it on a toothpick in at least 5 mL of ink.
