If you wanna go full noise mode : Open the hatch, behind the engine there is a plug , Unplug it. The valve will not be controled anymore. Because even in sport mode , the valve closes sometimes ( first and second gear) A pleasure

I swapped my Abarth 500 for a BMW 1 Series with some dude on Facebook. That BMW had a dodgy engine. Ended up selling that thing and lost a lot of money because of it. Lesson learned. Don’t swap your Abarth on Facebook.

in the US they still show the 2018 abarth on the fiat website and there has been zero inventory in Phoenix and Chicago for 6 months. my guess, they're out of the US market.
The problem with the seating position is that there's no wheel adjust to bring the wheel closer which ends up with you sitting in a funny position if you want room to heel and toe, this on top of the fact that you sit very high in it (because it's a super mini as standard not a sports car) makes for an awful driving position. That said, they are quick, with nearly 200bhp the 0-60 time betrays how fast they can feel through the gears, they struggle off the line because of limited weight over the front wheels (the engine is pretty light) so are actually faster when they have in gear traction than the 0-60 time shows.
Wow this car looks good. So much better than the stale old American versions that we get year after year. If I could get an Abarth like this I would buy it tomorrow.

I feel like the exhaust noise has been hit by the WLTP exhaust emissions it definitely doesn't sound as good as it used to however that could be the difference between everyone's recording equipment on youtube
What do you recommend between Essessee Vs Comp with Performance Pack? ... I think I much prefer the Monza as it's a little more vulgar. Is the Mech LSD a game changer?? Please Stef, I'm on the verge of getting one.

I think I’d struggle to chop my 595 comp with performance pack in for one of these, as cool as they look. £25k is a lot. The PP gives you everything you need, the exhaust is the only difference I’m spying 🤔

The pop and bang exhaust is on top of my shit list, all cars now sound the same because they are all fast, muted and requires an exhaust with fake pops and bang mapped into one of the twenty driving settings. I am now an advocate of electric cars because the internal combustion engine is dead, certainly the NA engine. Just the amount of carbon fibre like you said and a few more specs...makes the car worth the money. And if in the UK people find these cars expensive...go buy one in Portugal then. Lol. Once again a “new” Abarth, comprising the old one, with added bits of plastic, some badges and an aftermarket exhaust. Sad to see such a lack of investment in a fantastic brand.
But it does have an LSD fitted as standard, and that's significant. Not sure if suspension setup is upgraded like in previous Esseesse packages though. But I agree, they're a one trick pony at the moment, now that they've pulled the 124. They should be building their range, not cutting it.
@@stevemiller2651 unsure how lsd as standard is significant. It's avaliable on the comp in the performance pack as are the carbon back sabelts. You can also buy the akra exhaust from Abarth. So essentially you are getting some stitching in the seats plastic badges and some white wheels.
Problem is it sounds like the next car will be electric. They will keep this platform going with some minor updates along the way, but it already feels out of date. How long can they keep peddling it? I say this as a huge fan of the brand!!
Greg Lamb absolutely but the issue is more fundamentally the hardware. It’s a chassis that’s old now, still has a five speed manual when it should have had a six speed years ago. I’m not knocking them, I love them, I’m just concerned with Fiat as a whole at the moment.

Alan, why should they? The 595 will always be a car you love or hate, it doesn't need that technical revolution... It's a small hot hatch made for having fun, it's a timeless car. Putting all the new technologies in it will make it loose his character. You may think I'm crazy but I ordered the new esseesse and I'm going to sell my 2018 Leon Cupra...Why? Because there is no real emotion while driving the Cupra, I could never establish a relationship with it. It is a perfect car, very reliable, full of new technologies... But I want to drive with a smile on my face.Took the Abarth for 5 minutes and I knew I would buy it...

If you have PP then you already have the diff so you are best keeping the comp.

Correct. With the 1446 turbo it’s capable of 230 with an intake and intercooler. As is can be mapped to over 200bhp with no additional mods
