Looking forward to the Ltwoo build just received my 1x10 gr7 ltwoo hydraulic group set that hopefully will be fitting to my specialized MTB stumpjumper that I’m converting to a gravel bike
Yeh, I’m looking forward to building that groupset up too. I’ve never played with hydraulics before, so it’ll be a learning exercise. Good luck with your build too. I love a good gravel bike conversion. 😉
Thanks so much, Pete and yeh, it’s so great being able to get out and share your favourite pastime. Hope you get to do the same with your daughter soon. 👌🏻
Absolutely. He hasn’t stopped going on about this ride since we got back. Looking forward to doing more of the sane this summer. 👌🏻 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. ⭐️
Cheers Glenn, glad you enjoyed it. As for the wet roads though, it might be a few more weeks yet. I’m currently staying at a UK theme park with the kids. Yesterday’s weather was glorious. Today… not so much! 🌧️☔️🤦🏻♂️
@@petertreadway I can relate to those 24-hour weather changes. Here in springtime Wisconsin, it’s more like hourly weather changes, lol. Have fun in spite of the rain! 👍🏻✌🏻
As we say here in England “if you don’t like the weather, it’s ok, just wait 5 minutes” 😂 Hope you get out for some beautiful fair weather riding soon. 🤞🏼
I'm a bit concerned that you know what earwax tastes like, but anyways, that was a glorious one. I must go out and ride immediately... Thank you! Oh! And, yeah, enjoy it while you can. That little power ranger will tear your legs off before you've come up with a new outtro :-D
Yeh, he lives on the drops…. Even when climbing! 🤪. All good practice though. 👌🏻 As for the gravel bike, it’s an all frame with a carbon fork and it feels about the same weight as the full CF frame road bike I built him. Hopefully it’ll be nice and light for him then. 🙏🏼
@@petertreadway WHAT?! Does he give lessons? Not asking for a friend... Also, you can't be having that. You better fill that frame with cement or you're gonna get dropped by a tween before you know it...
Yep, warm weather brings the flies out but think of them as free protein 😄. Im starting to enjoy hills. I have no choice really though, living on the northern edge of North Yorkshire 😂
I think the flies like the fresh countryside cuisine of horse and cow s**t too, Alex! 😂 And please stop the humble bragging about all the glorious Yorkshire hills you have on your doorstep! I’m not jealous at all! 😉
@@petertreadway bring your gravel bike, you won't be jealous then 🤣. To be fair, I'm riding them on a 2014 Dawes that weighs just over 11kg so I'm sure you'd have no issues 😁
@@petertreadway haha, thanks for the compliment, thankfully the really steep ones are short. There's a 3.5 mile stretch though, around 3-5% and ramps up to around 10% at the end, that really saps your legs... On the subject of L-TWOO, I've just installed their 2x8 speed groupset and I'm impressed with the quality. Smooth shifting up and down, and comfortable hoods.
@@alexhadfield657 it’s the long slow burns that do me in. I don’t mind a short, sharp hill but the ones that just go on for ever at a slight incline are killers! 😂 Good to hear your L-TWOO experience is a good one though. I just started the build today. 👌🏻
He lives on the drops, Roger. Even when climbing and I tell him to use the hoods or tops, he refuses! 😂 Like you, I’m too old and stiff to get down there these days! 😮💨 Also, Jimmy knows full well he’ll be nipping at our heels in no time and neither of us can wait. 😉👌🏻
thats so great i love to see this . this is what cycling is about .
I’m slightly biased, but I couldn’t agree more.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
@@petertreadway me too , i have to show more love for great content , as google is not helping . so this is my part
And I hugely appreciate you for it, Charlotte. ⭐️👌🏻

I just need to buy a brake bleed kit which won’t be too expensive
You have so much courage! That’s such a long way 😅 Well done! ❤
Huge international ride! 😂
Another great ride, I look forward to seeing your son winning the tour de France.
One day, Richard, one day! 🤞🏼
Well, a guy can dream. 😂
So awesome to see you out with your son.. I hope to be able to do this with my daughter when she older.. brilliant mate 😊 ❤ Pete 🚴🏻👍

On the drops like a proper roadie
Can’t get him off then, John! 😂
Great ride! Cheers for the beautiful weather, too. I'm waiting for the ride video where you are not dodging those water features though, lol.

But yeh, this was a stunning ride and I’m fully aware I’ll be eating his dust soon! 🚴🏽😂
