  • Let’s journey to an anomaly that still mystifies archeologists; a polygonal wall deep in the bush on the north island of New Zealand. Is it a natural formation or manmade, perhaps built as far back as Lemuria? Through our virtual visit, I’ll let you make up your own mind.

    There were people living in this general area some 7000 years ago.Their remains were underneath the Taupo ash layer.For more information look up Poukawa revisited pts 1 andd 2.This wall has to be a natural layer as who in their right mind would build a structure in the middle of no-where which has no resources or reason for its existence

      Very interesting David: I'll certainly follow your suggestions. It is, however, hard to know the location of civilizations 7000 years ago. Thank you

      It may not have been 'in the middle of nowhere' when it was built... the whole area was covered with ash, hundreds of feet deep in places, during the 180AD eruption at Taupo... so there could have been whole cities there & we'll never know unless someone does some serious investigation using LIDAR or similar technologies. Look what they have found in the Sahara & Amazon where only a few years ago everyone insisted there was nothing! LMFAO... modern humans have such closed (programmed) minds 🙄🤨🤑

      After 7000 years all that remains is stones. In fact, without maintenance all that remains after 1000 years is stones. Your (rhetorical) question is meaningless.

    There is alot of speculation over these ruins for decades, i worked with an older Maori chap who knew his histories and his belief is that Maori ARE Egyptian. That is not a common belief but it was HIS belief. The stories he told and the progression of those stories made logical sense and some even crossed over into Egyptian history. Very cool to listen too and very thought and question provoking. It also makes me question the pyramids in Otago......

    Many years ago they DID do excavation here and found another layer of terracing. Furthermore, Rex Gilroy found stones here with carved inscriptions. After that it was all covered up. There is a very strong desire to protect Maori rights to land and ownership and any hint that anyone may have been here before could be damaging for the claim of Maori to be Tanga te Whenua (The First People, People of the Land).
    There are a lot of ancient ruins that might predate official history, but there's no way we'll be permitted to find out for sure.

      @@stephenhoward7454 Thats a matter of debate and of (unfortunately) legal issues. It doesn't matter if the first colonizers were wiped out or not, its a matter of literally "who first discovered and settled in New Zealand"? Maori land claims and related entitlements are based on being the "Indigenous" people, the first arrivals and settlers. Imagine if some major excavation took place and it became accepted consensus that the first arrivals were (heaven forbid) a non-Polynesian race? Imagine (pure hypothesis here) that the first arrivals were found to be of Caucasian or Asian origin? Imagine if China could suddenly lay claim to be first? The effect upon modern politics and society can't be overstated!

    It is clearly natural. Have seen it multiple times over the years. Only needed 1 minute of my time to realise it was natural. I am fascinated with ancient structures around the world, and the Younger Dryas theory, but sorry to say this is definitely not one of them. It should be left as it is, and no one should be digging around it and ruining it. No way anyone has gone to that much effort to build that in the middle of nowhere, and it's not even made well if it is.

    How is it possible to date rock?

    • @DrChristinePage
      @DrChristinePage  7 місяців тому

      As you know carbon dating can only date organic matter & that's what archaeologists often look forward. Dating rock often relies on climate changes that causes minerals & their radioactive particles be laid down.

Everything you said is the same questions I am left with .The really puzzle is why is it so ignored when it appears to be the most important historical site in the country .By the way , the sign is now gone and as you found , there are no signs leading to the site .i am ashamed that my country has an almost Stalinist desire to rewrite or ignore history when its only threat is that it may inform us .

    New Zealand has a rich history before Maori. Shame its all hidden. We could learn a lot from it. Scattered all over NZ. We are all people of Aotearoa. It is our history. No one people should own it. There are no original peoples. Everyone came here, one way or another . Australian Aborigines are original peoples. Why has our government hidden so much and destroyed so much of our true history. It's like they think or want everyone to think , NZ only started when Maori arrived. Even the Maori Elders tell the truth as far back as they can. And it's so much older. Why are people hiding the truth. What are their reasons for denying nz of the truth. We must find out before the new world order takes over the world , or it will be too late, and we will never know the truth. Wake up, nz, and ask questions about everything. There are so many lies. You have all seen the lies in the past 3 or so years. It is much worse than you think. Lies after lies after lies, you all know this to be true. Be awake, be free. Don't just listen to the government. They lie. Question everything. Do research. They are not very good at lies. It just takes a little research and an open mind to be able to see the truth. Don't limit yourself to what the government wants for you. We, the people, have the power , don't let them separate us. With there bullshit.

    It was ejected from Taupō during the hatepe eruption and is sitting on ash and pumice from earlier phases of the eruption. The rock rapidly cooled leaving the vertical and horizontal cracking. It's a newborn geologically, water, freeze/thaw cycles and tree root action are slowly tearing it apart. The no dig signs shouldn't need to be there but if people continually dig on land there's not many options. Ancient folks and civilizations couldn't get to New Zealand and it's nonsense to suggest a large structure was ever built on a New Zealand volcanic hellscape.
