Love your videos man! I was stationed in the area a few years ago and my wife and I are moving back to the area soon. Definitely love the advice, pointers, and assistance!
Planning on moving to Milton in the next 1-2 years from central California. The river is my happy place. I have my own gear and have rafted/tubed hundreds of times, about 50 in 1 year alone. Once or twice in the weekends and once after work during the week. I assumed moving to FL I would have to stay out of the rivers and I've came to terms with that but seeing this makes me feel better.
I've got a lot to learn about living near gators. The more I learn the more comfortable I am with it. Can you tell me why you don't have to worry about them in this area?
@@Smokey0284 To your earlier comment, yes you will have all the river fun you can handle, there are actually a few different spots that you can visit outside of Blackwater. As far as Gators, they seem to be more popular in the news outlets than they are in real daily life out here, at least from my experience. I used to mountain bike, camp regularly, offroad/jeep all the time and still to date I have seen VERY few gators in my time here in Florida. In the last 15 years, I can count on one hand the amount of times I have seen them (not to include at Gulfariums, and places where they are shown off, of course).
The one we always use is Blackwater Canoe Rental, I am sure there may be others out there but we like them. It's quick, to the point, they drive you to the launch location and sometimes you even get a driver that is hilarious and makes jokes the entire time, other times they don't joke around but they have always been very helpful.
I'm sure they're probably are somewhere around the black water River State Park, but when you're going tubing or kayaking down the river, the Gators don't stay in that area because there's just too many people. At least I've never seen one. If there is one there I would be really surprised
@@Fishing4Reel Yeah we get a lot of questions about Gators, I've honestly only seen Gators at the golf course ended a place called fudpuckers which is a restaurant that they have Gators at, they even walk around with these miniature Gators or baby gators for patrons to check out and pet.

What company did you use for the rental?
