- If you want to become a successful entrepreneur and license your ideas for products, you need to make yourself accessible. Others, including potential licensees and the media, need to be able to get in touch with you easily! Are you being perceived the way you want to be? Do yourself a favor. inventRight cofounders Stephen Key and Andrew Krauss riff on common mistakes they witness inventors make over email and on the phone.
inventRight is a one-on-one coaching program that helps people license their ideas. Visit www.inventright.com for more information and to become their student.
Call #1-800-701-7993 to set up an appointment with Andrew or another member of the inventRight team to discuss how they can help you license your ideas.

i love how Andrew looks at Stephen like he's a Alien when he says somethings .
Hey, thanks for the tips. I know the ear piece is a bother, but Yay! The sound on Andrews side was clear. I don't know why you have to use the ear piece because your sound was always clear . Thanks, Keep it coming!
Great video as always Stephen & Andrew! Here's to continued success!

Thank you so much for tips about office etiquette and professionalism and good communication. The idea of being easily contacted.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching, Roberta! How you conduct yourself is essential to becoming a professional inventor. That's one important takeaway from Stephen's new book "Become a Professional Inventor": www.amazon.com/gp/product/1653786256/

Great Video, I'm talking to someone from Allstar mrkting today... Making sure my convo air tight!
That's great! Hope it went well!
If I send you a sell sheet, will you potentially share it on your video? I’m concerned about proprietary information getting out before I contact a licensee.
Great show guys. I've been enjoying you two and Mr. Keys I just bought your book, One Simple Idea. My question is, you mention joining InventRightTV. What does it cost?
Hi Rick. inventRight offers a bootcamp for product developers who want to license their ideas. Find out more: www.inventright.com/new-testimonials
love u guys so much! wish i had 100$ extra to donate, let alone 700 to enroll!
The points brought up in this video were great. Are these ideas taught in the coaching program?
+Irvin Vance Of course! We teach the same information - in more detail and more extensively. Set up a call with us so we can tell you more about it: 1-800-701-7993.
This was so funny ^_^
Love the shows guys. Please title a show "Make $50,000 a year during lunch/before work/In your spare time". The search engines will pick it up quick. You need at least 50K subs and 10's of thousands of views. Thanks Again
+pragmaticmansboots That is a great idea. Thank you for the support!
If I had seen these videos 3 months ago I would probably have a contract for my patent right now because I didn't know what I was doing & I blew a deal!
Deals are never over... get in touch:www.inventright.com/contact
what does a one year inscription cost. I can't seem to find it on the website.
Hi Melvin. You can read all about our bootcamp program for people who want to license their ideas here, including pricing: www.inventright.com/what-we-offer/bootcamp-coaching. Please contact us for more information: www.inventright.com/contact.
Inscription? That's something the jeweler inscribes on the back of a watch or necklace.
Do I have an idea of what my product should sell for?
Hello Deborah!
There are ways to approximate what a product will sell for.
The Entrepreneur staff has put together a great article about what a company does to estimate the retail price: www.entrepreneur.com/encyclopedia/pricing-a-product.
You can find out what you need to know by doing the research. Check out our article on how to become an expert: www.entrepreneur.com/article/229583.
You can also consult with someone who is already an expert. You might get some insight from our article about how to approach them: www.entrepreneur.com/article/250296.
Ultimately, you'll need to know as much as you can about the industry that you are inventing for, in order to determine what your idea is worth. Check out our Inc. article on the subject: www.inc.com/stephen-key/what-s-your-invention-worth.html.
Thank you for watching!
Ruff, Ruff!
Do you guy leave a voice messages when you call and there's no answer?
Some do, some don't.
Hi,
Good Day!!
This is Mohamed Ashiq from India. First of all thanks for explaining lot about licensing. I learnt a lot from InventRight. Your website really rocks!!
I have a simple question - If i have Provisional Patent application in India, can i submit my idea to US companies as I can apply PCT international application with priority date of PPA in India? or should I have PPA applied in US? Am i right that PCT application can take Indian PPA as priority date? Kindly request your suggestion on this.
Awaiting for your response.
Love you guys!!
+Mohamed Asif I am not a patent attorney. I am not giving legal advice. I believe you are correct. Since you have filed your provisional patent application in India you can submit to the US, within one year file your PCT in the US. To be safe you should contact a patent attorney. Great question! Thanks for watching!
+Stephen Key Thanks for the suggestion. Sure. Will confirm with patent attorney.
Thanks a lot!! Happy Weekend!!
Who are these odd people who don't check their email for money making opportunities ?
where can i call andrew for a toy idea
You can reach Andrew here: www.inventright.com/contact
My voice mail isnt set lmao
Andrew, quit being mean to Stephen !!
Who is using hotmail??!!!!! Oh that's right my 60 year old mother ...people.
Agree and disagree slightly - texting is one of the best ways to guarantee a message gets read, and we wouldn't be surprised if it becomes more and more useful to business moving forward. It's also very easily read and disregarded, for sure. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
Not everyone can drop what they're doing and reach for the phone. Hardly ever am I able to pick up when someone calls during working hours. Most employers disallow phones on the shop floor. Schools do not allow calls or texts during class. You are a dinosaur if you rely solely on voice protocol.
Transcript please! I am getting fed up being obstacle to comprehensive information from this video and some other videos, indeed I am deaf guys.
+hmm23 We are looking into how to help you and other hearing impaired viewers. Thank you for your patience.
+hmm23 We have turned on closed captioning. Captions should appear on all future videos. Thank you for alerting us to this. FYI, Stephen also writes about the same topics for Inc. (www.inc.com/author/stephen-key) and Entrepreneur (www.entrepreneur.com/author/stephen-key).
Andrew why won't you quit interrupting, please let Steven make his point then you chime in it is very distracting
