FYI...I was paid nothing for this or any videos ever on Aries Cerat (and others). I don't charge for my videos. My home visits and what I decide to feature is uncolored by any monetary influence.
BTW.. I have many other (unpaid) videos on Aries Cerat... Including a multi part interview series with Stavros Danos of Aries Cerat in my archive, but here's a summary video I did last year with Stavros in Munich where you can see the Aurora and some of the things I referenced in this video.

Great video Jason! I have to say, the first time I got to hear an Aires Cerat for any length of time was at the Sydney HiFi Show this past April. It was a Protos Integrated Tube Amp (20W@8ohms) paired with Alsyvox Audio Design's Tintoretto panel speakers (93 dB). These were more or less the "Entry Level" gear for both brands.. and all I can say is WOW! 😳
Because of the unexpected shock value, synergy and the performance they put out in a small room... I gave the combo and set-up the edge for my Best in Show! 🏆 👍

Excellent video, spot on with the synergy statements. The one thing that I just don’t understand is how people overlook their rooms ,buy all this nice gear then complain that something is wrong with how the gear sounds. While in some cases that may be true it’s also quite possible and in many cases it’s the room that’s wrong.
I have people that come over to my house and comment that my system sounds awesome and ask how I got it that way, when I tell them that although my gear has allot to do with it it’s my room and how the treatments are done and the calibration to dial it in that I give big credit to.
I’ve come to the conclusion that those that are serious with this hobby address their rooms and those that aren’t serious don’t and there’s nothing wrong with it unless you’re chasing the dragons tail and wondering why you can never get gains with your system.

Andrew Jones also mentioned this in my video when Michael asked him about what more people want at cost-no-object and he immediately recommended room treatments versus more exotic parts.

Styles indeed come and go …but good taste is eternal….having said that sometimes you need to keep and an open mind as to what’s new .

Can you give those of us not in the cost no object systems how this compares to say a $20,000 or so system with the BACCH. What is similar what we are not getting etc.

      It's a complex equation.
My system is MUCH closer to that $20k budget than the million dollar mark and has the Bacch. I like it better in many respects... Especially the bass. However, if I had that million dollar gear with the Bacch which tailors it exactly to my ears, it could result in increased performance in my room.
The key is that this AC room and system is pretty close to giving you the ideal performance with a Bacch. If you have a really bad room with the Bacch and/or speakers that don't provide full range sound...high SPL capabilities...low distortion...etc... it will sound worse because the Bacch can't fix everything bad about the gear and room.

It is Jay at jay audiolab that have stired up so that people are thinking on preamping or not preamping..😂
Jay is advocating that using a preamp at high end level is giving the best SQ..

It's a much more complex formula and answer as I'll address in the next video. It's already live in my membership section, so I should release it soon.

11:34 I think you’ve hit in an important point ..it’s not the fabulous gear ⚙️…decent ⚙️ with a moderate room treatment pays HUGE DIVIDENDS!
