actually if u pay close attention, u can notice that the same 2 corners on the cube are always on the left and right so it is possible that the strings are horrizontal and attatched to each corner letting it spin only front and back not left or right
It only rotates this one time actually, which means the string was tangled around the object beforehand and then got untangled while being moved from above via this string.
The box was attached to a string horizontally? The string is originally spinned so at the @1:53 it spins by just supporting it with one hand. And for the whole dance, its just moving horizontally from my perspective. OR they have supermagnets with them costume and the stage.

Notice how the box only twist sideways, it doesn't flip or change directions. Theres two strings tied to one opposite corners. That way you can pull it side to side and make it spin horizontally.
I'm just guessing, but I think there are no strings (because the 'cube' rotates in every direction), and magnets are too weak for such a performance. Electromagnets may be strong enough but I think it would almost be totally uncontrollable, and these guys had a smooth control over that thing. And the guy in the beginning moved a wooden chair (I guess it wasn't a metal chair disguised as a wooden chair ^^) Anyway it's an awesome illusion, I don't have any ideas how they did it!
