Everything that Tom was saying, I was feeling on a spiritual level. Like the love I have for food...sometimes I wish I could just reach through the screen, cause where am I going to get any of this at 2 in the morning....
that girls so right...something about street food is special. You can go to 5 star restaurants all you want, but street food has it's own special taste and place
The fact that I could recognize every food and their countries despite never having been to any of them tells me that I've watched way too many food videos...
I think the second one was korean’s churros. It comes in different shapes and sizes. They even made thinly shaped pancakes called hotteok and they would be eaten with nutella or butter and it’s amazingly good.
iLoVeHamburgerAnDSprite you mean the one in this video? I guess that’s the Japanese soufflé pancakes,I’m not sure. Korea and a lot of southeast Asian countries has pancakes like this.
Oooh, really? I know that the tornado eggs were Korean and the churros too? Yo someone take me to sk, not even for the music and dramas, i just wanna try the foods t-t
Grew up in Japan...stationed in the USAF in Japan...traveled to the P.I., Okinawa, and Korea. Street food is amazing in all of these countries and I have eaten a fair share of what was in the vids.
I liked being in Korea because they had food vendors in the train stations, and food vendors on every corner. My favorite restaurant was sakusaku chicken. Best fried chicken I've ever had, which is saying a lot because I'm from the southern US.
Food is so much a part of our lives that seeing food being made is something you can binge watch and relax the whole time, that is why some of us watch cooking shows when we cant cook worth a damn.
Korean foods shown in this episode: 꽈배기 (twisted pastry) 계란빵 (egg bread) 떡튀김 (fried rice cake) 계란빵 is the egg bread they ate. Same as with 꽈배기, the twisted pastry the ate, both Korean food streets don't look like what the reactors ate. 계란빵 is actually small, without much bread on it. 꽈배기 is not crunchy, its actually glutinous and sticky.
You know.... I kinda wish they'd make a 'react to South African food' right now...I mean we have quite a mesh of different foods, depending on where in South Africa you come from... and which culture...
The twisted doughnut is from Korea. Called 꽈배기 I think. But the rendition looked more like a cinnamon sugar pretzel. The twisted doughnut should be more fluffy and actually like a doughnut bread.
they also have it here in the philippines, we call it shakoy :) it seems like most, if not all, countries around the world have some sort of variation of this twisted donut hahaha 😂
People do realize that Picasso is an abstract artist so when Tom compares food to a work of art and then to Picasso it makes me severely worried for how it would look like
@@meutia5581 Ah, that makes sense. I imagine you can find it more easily in Asia, especially Japan and China. In America (where I am) it would be more difficult to find unless you went specifically to a place that sold food and such from Asia, specifically from Korea.
The twisted fried pastry is from Korea ! You can hear the lady asking "what?" in Korean. I believe I got some from that exact shop actually ha ha, they were really good. But Koreans usually don't put any type of sugar on them. The egg bread is also from Korea, but in the traditional recipy they just crack the egg on the dough and cook immediately, this one is a variation I've never seen, but egg breads are also delicious ( one of my favorite street foods ). The rice cake is also from Korea.
What do you mean? Twisted Donut always has a sugar sprinkled on it! They definitely don't have cinnamon sugar like they did on the video though. A lot of these videos are from Korea. Even the swirly egg omlet was from Korea :)
@@shining_pot_handle oh do they ? Damn, I don't remember them having sugar sprinkled on them @.@ but maybe it was a bit melted when I bought them, or my memory is just really bad on this one x) thanks for the correction !
The crepe is not the same kind as they served tho. In the video that's a hot crepe from Thailand, but what they served is a cold crepe which not crispy and supposed to serves with cold cream.
