Now this is the video I’ve been waiting on. Well done as always, thank you!
Way to go Gav and Rich. Almost like you knew what you were doing. Excellent Work!
Hi Rich , this jet is fantastic great features and flys great. I saw something come off the plane maybe the ventral fin inline with the runway near the water hopefully you can find it. Love the Viper 90mm and the orange Viper 70mm i have the 70 want the 90 .Happy flying
Awesome video. I assemble mine tomorrow.
I loved Gav’s 5-point flight review:
“Wow Dude
Wow Dude
Wow Dude
Wow Dude
Thats awesome Dude”
I couldn’t have said it any better.
Nice thorough build, preflight and wring-it-out flights! I’d like to see whether having SAFE ON prevents the wing break issue with THIS Viper in slow flight.
Awesome flying from both of you and a great review
Lots of reviews out there but indeed I wait for Rich. Always a great review I can trust! Cheers
Sick stuff Richardo!
Nothing better than a RCInformer review.
Best in the game. Psyched to go flying after every video.
Beauty Rich, Oh Yeeeeeee!
Never flown a jet. I am in love with that Viper. I almost bought the 70mm.
If you do, careful with landing. It's a lot more difficult than it looks
That 70 mm has been my fav a long time ! That jet can be dead stick landings every time with a decent glide scope 👌🏼
Great flight and review Rich, certainly a good looking jet. 👍🏻
Always set mine up the way you do. Love your videos. Great flying to both of you.
This is the flight review I've been waiting for.
The video I’ve definitely been anticipating. One of the sleekest jets on the market. Man Gav sure can fly. You two work great together.
Epic flying gentlemen!! Great model...Think I'm sold. Don't know where I'll put it though...I'm outa room!
Awesome flying!! And Gav is so cool! Nice young man !
Thanks Rich, for the info i have a problem with the KN After burner not letting the Avian esc. To work with the AR631 RECEIVER all the channels are used up i have an NX8 it works but won't let the reverse work i need to upgrade the receiver to a 8 channel for both to work at the same time or if you know any programming to fix this ?
Thanks you for being so in depth with the transmitter setup. It helped a lot.
That was a sick flight
What a awesome bird 🔥👍
Wow thank you this was an awesome video. I appreciate it. Might have to buy one
Always like the Viper. The million-dollar question. We know the mighty E-flight Viper 90mm never ceases to please, but how does it stack up to the FMS Futura Tomahawk V2 80mm?
UPDATE: My new EF Viper 90mm has joined my little hanger!
Thanks so much for the high quality, and very concise videos. You need to know how much help you have given me and many other folks.
A veteran and a newbie in the same video, nice to see, keep the hobby going.Nice flying Gav.👊👊😀
Great as usual Rick ! Bravo come sempre ! 🔝
Rich great video. 3am and this Old Man enjoying with my coffee ☕. Yes it's going to be added to my Want List. ✈️😎💝
Kenny on His Show last night was worried about You Johnny?
Hope Your Flying high Friend!
@@jonoedwards4195 everything good Jono. For some reason not getting notifications on Kenny's shows. Tried deleting then describe still nothing. So glad he messaged me. This Old Man loves his shows. ✈️😎💝
Hi Rich ,Great Jet can you explain what the yellow wire from the throttle line does and how to use it please. The manual says nothing about it.
It's reverse thrust. It needs an extra channel. Not needed for grass ops but usefull on pavement
Really nice looking flights...a fun day....
The fin blew off at the 1:28:36 mark just passed the runway!
Amazing flight I learned a lot ty
Getting mine on Monday!
When you do throttle management, what threashold do you set the timer activation/deactivation too?
That's personal preference I think it defaults to something like 25% throttle. So as you advance the throttle the time are starts and if you bring it back below that the timer will stop... This is for spectrum so I think it depends on the radio you are using
Hey Rich l am getting the Viper 90mm just wanted to know from your point of view l seen your videos on it is this Jet pretty good flyer just wanted to know before I get one
If you update your NX10 you can link the flap speed so you it will match for all positions.
Pricey yes. But I think that the looks of this plane and the way it flies looks like its worth the price if you can afford it. Nice job guys 👍
Horizon and Motion had to raise their prices due to the major inflation on the US market. There’s no telling when it will happen or whether it’l happen at all. But if it slows or even stops maybe they’ll lower their prices back to where they were a month ago. Motion explicitly stated they were reluctant to raising their prices.
HI RICH I'VE SEEN THAT A FEW PEOPLE HAVE CRASHED THERE NEW VIPER'S FLYING WITH A 7000 PACK. LIKE YOU SAID B4 DON'T LET IT GET TO SLOW,!. I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT I WOULD RATHER INFLUENCERS LEARN NOT WHAT TO DO WITH THE PLANE. SAVES ME MY HARD EARNED. THANKS FOR A GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS SIR. THANKYOU GAVIN A PERFECT MEMBER OF THE RC INFORMER TEAM. TAKE CARE EVERYONE
@mike Bird i wouldnt call rich an “influencer” because unlike somebody else he is not constantly cramming his links down peoples throat, or telling them to “ support the underdog” or sharing his PayPal so people can give him money…. He actually makes videos with USEFUL content instead of certain people who focus on entertainment value only. I think it’s sickening what has happened to the promotion of the hobby with certain people acting like glorified car salesmen all they care about is taking your money one way or another-meanwhile over on this channel I think rich must’ve been the last person to even think about affiliate stuff and unlike somebody else I won’t mention he’s not talking about everybody using his links constantly-Instead he focuses on giving people useful information Right down to the small stuff like putting foam tac on E rings, and tightening connections”instead of telling them “how he’s got something first”. Totally agree with your comment regarding “ influencers actually giving people concrete advice on what not to do” Instead of worrying about money. Happy flying👍
@@Johnn_T HI SIR I REALLY WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR OPEN AND TOTALLY TRUTHFUL OPINION. I REALLY UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM AND WHAT/WHO YOUR ON ABOUT. ITS A SHAME AS IT DOSE/HAS PUT ME OFF ALOT OF THE PEOPLE IN A POSITION TO HELP OUR HOBBY. I ALSO LOVE RICH'S CONTENT AND HIS LOVE AND HOW WILLING HE IS TO SHARE HIS KNOWLEDGE WITH US. WITHOUT REMINDING US EVERY 5MINS. TAKE CARE SIR 👍
Mike, this plane is fine on a 7000 spektrum pack. It flys beautifully slow with a big pack... as with any plane, don't get it to slow:)
What did you say ? "That's what see said" !!
Man ,That's a beauty !
48:00 - With the Spectrum NX series, on the flap system setup. A negative value will yield "up elevator" and a positive value will yield "down elevator." Just a suggestion to maximize the rudder authority. Physically move the control horn position of the ball link to the inner-most position. You'll gain physically ~20% more throw without logically adjusting the servo.
Nice flying. Superb
Top notch viper great Rich......
With the Safe would it be okay for an in intermediate pilot? My other planes like the Cirrus I don't use the safe but have never flown a jet.
Oh.. My God..!! A cool and awesome rc plane. I haven't had it yet
Great video guys, how much is the full flap and takeoff/half flaps in MM? I don't fly with Spectrum and can't seem to find an actual measurement. Did you guys change the Elevator to Flap compensation? Happy Flying!
Excellent videos. I have question. How well did your BNF viper range test? I noticed with many of the safe enabled receivers that they show many frame losses and sometimes 1 hold at ground level. Have you notice this also? Was there any signal issues?
I have had no signal loss issues or holds. I did have the motor quit in flight due to the motor magnets coming apart. I would guess that this occured due to using the reverse festure on the ground causing the magnets to loosen. I ve stoppped using the reverse feature as I think its bad for the motor. otherwise its a great jet!
I love everything RC but I only buy RTF . I have no patience for all the set up nonsense. I just want to unbox it and fly and if it crashes well then I just buy another one . I just want to have fun . But I respect your video. If they sold this RTF I would definitely buy one .
There's not really much that's RTF thats really a sizeable model. This is a BNF that's super simple to set up. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video!
I'm going back and forth between this one and the FMS TigerCat? Any suggestions?
That's going to be a personal preference call! Both are outstanding models. The BNF VIPER will be faster to get flying from the box & It is a Jet that flys beautifully. The FMS F7F is the finest EPO warbird available & assembles easily with 16 screws & has the best landing gear around.... it does need a receiver to be installed however. Either way you go both models fly great. Thanks for using my links to purchase! Rich
Amazing fly captain
Really nice. One thing i always do with all the screws is, i always use a dot of lockbond to make sure the screws stay in place. I had 2 crashes because screws came loose and fell out.
Be a nice project/plane with a decent radio system.
Hi everyone,
the machine makes a very good impression on me, I like it!
Can you tell me how wide the battery bay is?
Many Thanks
Amazing!!!
Very nice EDF 90 mm Jet
Very nice
So cool captain
Hi Guys, I have some e-flight Jets with Spectrum ESC and Spektrum iX20 radio. Trust reverse works great at all. BUT for now I want the 90mm EDF VIPER fly with another radio make (CORE from Powerbox-Systems). DO YOU KNOW if it is possible to use the trust reverse feature also with another radio like Spektrum???
Did you fly this on low or high rates?
Great review and awesome maiden flights. What field is that? I have watched your videos before and have seen the Apopka field but I do not recognize this one...
I have the viper 70mm, can I setup a reverse thrust on it? Or this is only available on the viper 90mm? Thanks 🙏🏾
No reason why you cant but you will need to change the ESC for one with the reverse feature.
What exactly do with 3 servo plug pins before plug male-female?? In vídeo I not apreciate well this ?? Best regards and thanks
Normally I will tighten the connection of each pin just to make sure no bad connection. Hope this helps to understand and thanks for watching our videos🙂👍
Great video, great flying. You can only hear some of the sound of the jet when it makes a pass because the background music is too loud and annoying. It drowns everything else out
Nice
Wow, Wow, Wow! I loved watching this video, What a cool flying jet!, But Sorry Rich , I think Gav OutFlew Ya' for a few seconds there, What great flying and Suburb Landings Gav! Now I have to get this plane. You guys are killin" Me, And I will tell my wife it is your fault for having such great videos! LOL. Stay safe and clear skies!
How would this compare to the FMS Futura V2?
Two very differrent planes but both are sport jets, so reasonably similar if you can fly one you could definitely fly the other🙂
man..... what's all that racket in the background during the flight?
Got my Viper 90mm together. For some reason my flap servos are running "HOT"! All the others are fine. It would be odd that that both flap servos are bad. You have any suggestions? I'm running a Frsky system.
Yes-Make sure you are not overdriving the Servos as some brands of radio can overdrive the HH Servos and I have heard of FRSky and even Futaba systems doing it to HH Servos.
👏👏👏
Where's the link for the battery bag ?
Sorry Gary, will add it... here it is: www.redbaronhobbies.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59
My local hobby shot won't sell me this till I'm good at flying lol. I only have a turbo timber and lol
I’m having problems setting up my Viper 90 BNF… the right aileron is working with my left flap with my right stick and my left aileron is working with right flap like ailerons…
I sounds like your left aileron connector & left flap connector are in the wrong wing slots?
@@Truthstillmatters2 Possibly.... however I think it's the left wing only that needs to have the aileron & flap connector swapped. It should be simple. Remove the wing retainer that holds the 3 connectors & swap the aileron and flap connectors. I think it's only 4 screws. 2 for the retainer & 2 for connectors(1 each)
@@RCINFORMER That was it… I wish I read your response before I switched the aileron and flap inside the connector in the fuselage… a lot harder that way… next time I will just swap in the wing… I’ve never experienced anything like that…it would have been a lot easier doing it as you suggested the first time… you live and learn I guess.
Nice video! Awesome Jet! Only thing for me is the camera man needs to stay zoomed out or mostly out, and leave it there. Very difficult to watch with camera all the way zoomed in and bouncing everywhere.
Yea man, Young Gav is learning but he is getting there slowly🙂 thanks for your support👍
What were the flight times
Using the video counter, It look like right at 7mins on the 5000's total time from reversing to the strip to Rich hitting the throttle kill on Gav's flight but he only had 9% battery left. On the 7000's it was almost 7min throttle time with 22% battery left. I think the sweet spot is between 5 -6 min with time left for go arounds.
not selling on amazon hmmm
For these prices HH can get bent! Oh people are going through a plandemic (they must be loaded rn), even though gas prices are stupid, markets dwindling, etc, etc. way off the mark. I'll go balsa for these prices. Nothing against RCINFORMER at all.
Balsa is way more expensive... you can't match the value you get with this model, especially since it is build & ready to bind with receiver.
@@RCINFORMER Exactly. These planes are a bargain. If the complainers would take the time to add up the cost of the Rx, ESC, servos, retracts, motor, fan unit, etc, they would find out that they are getting the airplane for free. Also, at nearly $20,000 per container from China, I have no idea how they can do it so cheaply.
@@inthegameroompodcast Well said! Decades ago I would buy a Cermark propjet fiberglass model for $399, then a Jett 90 motor for $450, $200-300 in servos, $100 on a receiver, $40 on a ni-cad pack, then $100 on miscellaneous hardware to replace the crap they included... Then there is the TIME you save NOT building it! Wait,.... there's more: Then there's is fuel, glow plugs, fuel tubing, etc... the asking price for this model is a deal:)
@@RCINFORMER To bad you guys are deleting things, it looked like ASSHOLEBYNATURE posted links to a balsa for same price. Seems like you guys gang up on people because you don't "think" they are in the game. Where did their links go?
@@nonyabusinessatall3274 it's all good but for the record yes i did post links that would have come together to complete a balsa 90mm edf 8s jet for under $800, obviously a build would be in order, not too bad for a "complainer" lmao sad when ignorance leads to insults😂.
sorry could not watch flight. Too shaky!!! 😣
camera needs higher expo. it’s all over the place
Your camera guy gave me a headache
“It’s hard to slow down”. No it’s not. Try not pitching the nose down to make the runway bc you have no clue how to do a standard, stabilized approach.
I'm definitely better at doing it, my Boeing Jet:) I tend to "wing it" a bit more with models because it's more fun!
That was a long video with a lot of bla bla bla. Omg get on with it.
HI RICH THANKYOU FOR SHOWING US HOW TO SET UP THE REVERSE ON THE I BUTTON. AMAZING IDEA SAVES CRASHING THIS BEAUTY.🇬🇧RC INFORMER 🇺🇸♥️💯⭐
